  1. Is vodka flammable? Because that would rule!
  2. I'm hoping for a surprise ranch dressing splashdown.
  3. It's very hard to choose, but if forced I'd pick Kit Kat as my favorite.
  4. PP is definitely more bark than bite. It looks imposing, but is really a teddy bear. It's fun, but just isn't as thrilling as the "World's Tallest" moniker suggests it will be. I'd trade it for Tidal Force at Hersheypark in a second. Heck, I'd trade it for Mile High Falls at SFKK. And HW will never be 10/10 in my book until they get a custom B&M invert. But that's just me.
  5. Forget Twisted Twins. Mile High Falls is the real loss here. It's probably my favorite ride in the park.
  6. Yeah, it was definitely 2 train for a while. One was red, the other was yellow.
  7. The Galt House for $50 a night?! That's f'ing unbelieveable. Did you also buy a Ferrari for $1000? Mad skills indeed. And incidentally, my Mom lives in Louisville and I've actually been to 90% of the places and restaurants you showed. Yet somehow, you've made them look even more interesting than they are. Kudos to you. And to anyone else doing the sightseeing thing in Louisville, don't miss the Science Museum as well. It rules. Some final trivia: The movie The Insider (Russell Crowe) was filmed in Louisville. Downtown locations are prominent and that Colgate Clock is the location for a key scene.
  8. That ride is SOOO awesome anyway and this just takes it to the next level. Wish I had been there. They should apply this concept to the Crypt at KI.
  9. You can put me in this category. The BMRS was my first TPR meetup, but definitely won't be my last.
  10. Worlds of Fun is home to my favorite paint job (Patriot) and also the world's worst in Boomerang. Yellow & Orange somehow goes with Hot Pink & Neon Green & Sky Blue?
  11. This is a great addition! I love these types of display. Wish more parks had 'em. And I guarantee nobody lost their season pass on the ride. That's just clever work by the marketing department.
  12. Yes it is! Epic trip and amazing TR! Well done. And I'll chime in that you missed nothing with Twisted Twins, but it's almost criminal that Mile High Falls is closed. That ride is awesome. Again, amazing report!
  13. More pics with the bus driver please. She seems really cool.
  14. Please Robb, please, when you edit the Tornado video use the chorus from the song Ridin' Spinners by Three 6 Mafia! That would totally rule!
  15. ^^ I don't know why, but I just have the feeling that if HW doesn't add the steel looper next year, that it's never going to happen. It's time. In fact it's past time. If next year isn't the year, then I'm convinced that the park flat out just isn't interested in a steel coaster. But here's hoping for that B&M (Red or Yellow )at HW in 2010! And they have to name it Firecracker! It's a proper tribute.
  16. Beat it in my pants.
  17. You really hit a home run Shane! It looks amazing. Be sure to post a report after opening weekend.
  18. I just got back from Holiday World moments ago and I can confirm that the Mikestry Ticket IS NOT there. And as mentioned above, the tables were freshly painted. The bottoms of the tables were freshly painted as well. I checked all of the tables in that area and there was no ticket to be found. A lot of strange looks from people though as I was looking for it. Hopefully, one of you guys have it but it looks like the painters at the park found it and trashed it. Either way, I'm disappointed I didn't get it.
  19. ^^ It's extremely hard to explain. For me personally, it was almost an automatic protective response from my brain. I wasn't scared of actually going upside down. I knew the ride was totally safe. I wasn't scared of the heights or drops. The coasters always looked intimidating, but that wasn't really it either. It's almost like my brain would say "a person is not supposed to go upside down" and then would start screwing with other systems in my body so I physically could not (due to nausea, panic, diarhea, etc) get on the ride. It's hard to get your body to do something the brain doesn't want it to do. Example: try to hold your breath until you pass out. You can't do it. My fear of inversions was this intense. You guys cannot imagine how wonderful I have felt ever since I conquered this fear. I'm not kidding when I say I now feel free. A huge weight/burden has forever been removed from me.
  20. You can still find them at a few mini-golf/go-kart places in Florida. They are more fun to watch than do. It had some cool hangtime, but if you are a smaller person (like me) you really have to work to get the thing spinning and flipping. It really was a heck of a workout. If should have been marketed as high-end exercise equipment. I have seen a few of them where "ride operators" physically push the rings making you go faster and faster. That would probably make me barf. You're not missing out on much though. Definitely looks cooler than it is.
