This is fantastic and will look great. However, Whitewater West/Proslide/Etc still have a design flaw that irks my anal-retentive/semi-ocd sensibilites no matter which waterpark I am at: Why can't the seams ever line up for the entire slide? It's bad enough when it's a "hodge-podge" but the worst is when they line up for the majority of the slide except for one or two stray pieces. Is it just me here?

Shane's Amusement Attic

Better make that sooner than later. I was there over Christmas and some hotel staffers said that the hotel is expanding into that area soon and what remains of the ride will be bulldozed. Maybe not as reliable as the lemon chill guy, but if the employees have gotten wind, it's at least been discussed. Here's some pictures of the remains -

Erik & Misty - This has been not only one of the most entertaining threads on TPR, but also one of the most useful. I can't tell you how many people I have directed to this thread when discussing Gatlinburg and the surrounding area. It's a very popular weekend getaway destination around here and there's always someone at work asking around about it. Of course, one the most common questions is "What is there to do there?" I always send them a link to your thread. I have gotten very positive responses from everyone I've sent in your direction. Congrats, the GP loves you too! Can't wait to see your Florida adventures. From The Simpsons: Doctor: What you need is a good, long rest. I suggest Florida. Homer: Florida? But that's America's wang! Doctor:They prefer, "The Sunshine State." -

THANK YOU SO MUCH SHANE! As an Opryland frequenter, this is both spectacular and bittersweet. And as awesome as these videos are, Opryland was even better than these clips make it look. I will miss it forever. -

Those commercials are outstanding! I really enjoyed them. Sadly, in the states we usually only get commercials of this caliber during the Super Bowl. -
I haven't seen that one yet, but I have seen the ones on Kings Island and Holiday World. If you get the video transferred, please post!

^ Yes, all Blu-ray players can play any standard DVD in addition to playing Blu-Ray discs. As well, playing a DVD disc in a blu-ray player does nothing (and can do nothing) to modify the disc. It will play just fine when you put it back in a standard DVD player.

I always said if I win the lottery, I was going to buy a Ferrari 355. But the more I think about the kind of maintenance costs owning one entails, and how they aren't daily drivers, I think I'd skip it. For a lot less $$$, I could buy a new loaded Lexus IS as my daily driver and a 1st Generation Mitsubishi 3000GT (which has always been my dream car) which would be my "toy". Currently, I have an 02 Accord and an 02 325i. Both are fantastic cars, though when I have to take the BMW in for service/maintanance, I always take the vaseline because I know they're never gentle...

I am still perplexed as to the cost-benefit of this whole deal. CP is probably spending a few mil to get the ride moved and re-installed. Demon Drop is a very elderly ride with a slim number of good years left. Perhaps 5, but definitely not 10. Wouldn't it have made better sense to put that same money into a brand new flat that is going to last? And is DD really going to be that big of a draw to the GP? But I guess a "new" ride is better than no ride at all.

It appears that the silver bar is the "handle" the people in the car behind can hold onto during the ride. It looks like the front car won't have one making it even more scary/intense! -

Will the Age/Gender information be shown in the new system? (It's currently not there.) I often take take these details into consideration when making a post and would miss them if they don't make the cut. -

Easy Question: Windows 7 User Icon Coaster?
Emiroo replied to Emiroo's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thanks so much! -
Easy question here: I just installed Windows 7 and noticed that one of the user icons (shown below) is a coaster. Anybody know which one? It definitely looks like a Schwartzkopf, but I haven been able to confirm that. Thanks in advance. Windows 7 Coaster User Icon (Sorry I couldn't export it any larger.)
