You know, I think I know why viewership for these shows is (or at least has been) going downhill. Simply, it's that the popular films for the public rarely manage to get more than a token nomination, whereas art house films (or at least those their styling) tend to be seeing more of the awards these days. While it is true that we've had a novel year with four of the best film nominees being VERY mainstream and popular films, it's hard to deny that cases like The Godfather, which was both the highest grossing and best picture of its year, are becoming rarer. Forgive me if any/all of that ramble was based off of pseudo-fact, I don't keep up too well with the movie industry.

The funny thing is, I've wanted the Orange Box since it came out, but I already have Portal as a standalone and I'm kinda iffy as to whether or not I'd like Half Life. I do love the Rock Band series, and would grab DJ Hero if it weren't for the fact that I can't afford another peripheral and my friends would never let me live it down. Good suggestions though!

Great. Valentines day is tomorrow. I get to listen to all of my friends go ON and ON and ON about how great it is to be in a loving relationship, like they don't flaunt that fact every other day of the year. Well I say **** the stupid holiday. Call me lame and bitter, but it's just an excuse to sell cards. Hell, even if I was in a relationship I'd freaking hate it. It's just so...ANNOYING. I feel like I'm caught in the infinite black hole of gaming. Seriously, I'm not hardcore enough to play CoD or Battlefield for days on end, I'm not patient enough for racers or RPG's (or, in the case of some racers, feel let down by a lack of options), I'm legitimately too stupid for puzzle games, strategy games, and MMORPG's, and Sports games bore me to death/confuse the hell out of me. It's like, my god, there's RCT, there's the Burnout games, and that's it. The entire list of games I could enjoy anytime. I must be the fringe market from hell.

Whether you love or hate Disney, I'd reccomend either of David Koeing's "Mouse Tails" Books, or his epic "Realityland", the latter being such an awesome story (about how Disney World went from grand to trash) that one often forgets it's a true story. Regardless, all three are fantastic reads for anyone, even those who can't stand the Disney parks.
