  1. I was excited about Demon Drop coming, but it turned out I was only wanting to TRY that type of ride rather than seeing it as a good addition in the park. After a few rides, I lost interest. I'm afraid that's how Invertigo would be.
  2. Some of you are over-analyzing why specific parks may not get the ride. Just because they already have a shuttle or even an SLC does not exclude them. Keep in mind Cedar Fair's last ride recycle. Originally planning on putting Demon Drop in at Knott's (Which already has a drop tower), then eventually moving it to Dorney (Which ALSO has a drop tower). You can't rule a park out because they have a ride with similar characteristics.
  3. I came to this thread expecting to look at pictures of Orlando. This was 10x better than that would have been. ©2011 tatertot3710. This post is my property.
  4. From Screamscape: http://screamscape.com/html/wdw_-_magic_kingdom.htm
  5. TGE would be a GREAT park for Kennywood. I absolutely loved it there and it seemed like the only notice of Six Flags was the commercial aspect - train wraps, in-park announcements, and even more advertising signs. I'm in no hurry to return, but if it was bought by Kennywood, I would love to see how it would change!
  6. ^ I don't know...$132 for an early pass purchase seems like a lot to me.
  7. I like it, but my only question is to how guests will get to the start of the attraction when it's their time to ride.
  8. I totally agree about the haunted things with small children. I saw a kid that looked to be about 6 come out of Club Blood at Dorney's Haunt screaming and crying to no end...On the contrary, I saw a girl that looked even younger go into another haunt and come out completely fine...Some people are rediculous.
  9. I really enjoyed it! Thanks for the report!
  10. I'm loving high school XC, Freshman year, and my all time best 5k is 18:36.
  11. I went to the Halloween Haunt at Dorney Park 5 times this season. It's the first Halloween event I've ever been to, and I absolutely love it! Like what was said before, however, there aren't enough actors roaming the park as there should be. I heard there were many more in previous years, but I would love to see some more. My favorite haunt is the Mansion House Hotel (advertised as being the largest haunted house in any Cedar Fair park, but Cornstalkers is the scariest. If you've never been to a Halloween event, I strongly reccomend going to one, you'll love it!
  12. Just a few - Front: Inverts Boomerangs Phoenix Thunderhawk Back: Steel Force Comet (TGE & Hersheypark) Storm Runner
  13. My first place would probably be Hersheypark because you get a different view from each of the roads that surround the park. Honorable mentions go to Dorney Park and Worlds of Fun because of how cool they look from the highway.
  14. I've never had anything stolen from me at Dorney, but people I know have had things stolen, but that was when things were left on chairs in the waterpark. I did notice some rude people on Saturday, but that mainly only applies during the summer. Security is very tight at the park during Haunt. They metal detect you and there's usually a security guard on a bike within sight. Try to go on a Sunday, as the past two Sundays were empty. The wooden coaster, both of the kiddie sections, one of the two train rides, and the two water rides that are still open all close at 5. There's also kids Halloween activities that go on around the park during the day. Hope this helped! Have fun! More info: http://booblast.dorneypark.com/ http://haunt.dorneypark.com/
  15. .
  16. I'd suggest not doing Hershey. They don't do anything 'haunted', they have the roller coasters & rides open, and a few decorations up around the park.
  17. Returned to in 2010: Dorney Park (8 times) Hersheypark (2 times) New parks in 2010: Kennywood The Great Escape Hopefully upcoming: Six Flags Great Adventure (Return park, New credits)
  18. Valleyfair and Worlds of Fun are also getting Planet Snoopys.
  19. Planet Snoopy will be replacing Camp Snoopy at Dorney in 2011. Press release: http://www.planetsnoopy.com/dorneypark/ Map of Planet Snoopy
  20. The Spongebob dark ride at Funtown Pier in Seaside Heights, NJ. If you've never ridden it, you need to! It's the best because it sucks!
  21. I believe Expedition Everest is the only ride I've ridden in its debut season...
  22. When I went, Skull Mountain closed in the thunderstorms.
  23. ^She probably means that she felt like the only white people/English speaking people in the park. I was at Dorney the same day as you guys! The waterpark was packed, I didn't even go near it.
  24. I went on a Wednesday in July and it wasn't bad at all. Most rides were walk-ons. Boomerang was a 3 cycle wait, longest I waited in. The waterpark was enjoyable. The day wasn't the best, but the lines weren't too long. Steamin' Deamon was VERY rough, and if I had the chance, I wouldn't ride it again. Canyon Blaster (mine train) has a lot of shaking. Just don't miss the Comet!
