^^ Yeah, I'm not a fan of GB either...I think it is kind of boring. -

Oops, the statement I made was kind of misworded...I meant it takes away from the feeling I usually have when I'm at an amusmement park. I just think that the types of people that go to the park make the park less-than-desirable to visit...That's why I like going on slower days in May and September, where you don't get line jumped at almost every ride, you don't see rude people arguing about or ignoring the rules, and the atmosphere is much more family friendly. I like the park, and I think the rides are awesome, but it's hard to have a good time at the park. I notice that too...but they show even more of a dislike for the safety instructions that play loudly in a constant loop. -

^^ I have no idea, and it annoys me to no end, sometimes the person in front of you doesn't realize they're magnetic and then the gates lock and you have to wait an extra train. It must be an extra hassle for the workers too, since they have to close and check every gate to make sure that it's locked and they usually have to yell over the speakers that everyone needs to push on their gates. Maybe they're there because people were doing stupid things before they were there (I don't know what they had beforehand, it was too long ago to remember), and management just decided to replace all of the gates with magnetic gates. -

There are larger seats I believe on the end of the rows...didn't know if you tried one of them. -
Definitely go to Knoebels! As for the other two parks, I've never been to Waldameer, so I couldn't pick. You could do Dorney and Knoebels in one day.

Interesting, considering Dorney has the same present. -

It's a full day park if you decide to do the waterpark. But get there early or before it closes. -

I believe it's now a traveling coaster in Germany. Dorney Park doesn't have any bumper cars after they took out the Krazy Kars. I've gotta agree about what everyone at the beginning of the thread said. Although it's my home park and I have a pass there, it's missing something, and the types of people that go there take a lot of the charm away from the park. -

Just a Dorney Park pass...there isn't a picture on it, the picture comes up on the screens at the entry gates. -

No, there are free cubbies or bag drop areas at all rides. -

^ I may be wrong, but I thought I read on this site that the reason there's no headbanging on B&Ms is because the upstop wheels touch the track, while on most Vekomas or Arrows, that's not the case. -
Hershey vs. Knoebels
tatertot3710 replied to Big-M's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I suggest Hershey. I've been to both parks many times and I'd easily rather spend a day at Hershey over Knoebels, as there's a lot more to do. Phoenix is amazing, but I think Twister is just okay. If you only do coasters, you'll get easily bored at Knoebels, as most of the flat rides are like any other you'll find at a park, with a few exceptions. Do Hershey. You won't regret it. -
I had the chance to ride Demon Drop on Friday for the first time and I loved it! It looks very nice in the area that it's located. The wait was the longest at the park, around 20-30 minutes all day (if you've ever been to Dorney, you know this is a long wait for a weekday). One problem I see, though, is with the queue. It starts by going under the end of the runway, turns left and goes next to the ride, then goes into the station. No switchbacks or anything. With the queue being 3/4 full the day I was there, I'm sure it could easily fill up quickly on weekends. Everyone coming off the ride seemed to enjoy it, and I, along with the people I was at the park with, loved the ride.
