  1. I've been on two: Stuntman's Free Fall and Demon Drop and I must say these are the two best drop towers I have ever been on. The violence of the drops are just incredible.
  2. All four of those Inverts are better than the Great Bear. I'm not hating on it, the first half of the ride it terrific and forceful, its just the end. I understand the ride is built in a tricky location so adding a helix or something else would have been difficult but if it did have a better ending Great Bear could have been one of the best inverts out there. This is just my opinion of course, it is a fun ride you'll enjoy it.
  3. Lightening Racer is a must. IMO it is better than the Great Bear, the bear has a great first half but after the corkscrew it just meanders around till the end.
  4. Im writing this trip report a bit late because I got home late last night but I made it down to the park for a nice evening with some friends. Weather was awesome with the fog and it being frightfest, also no lines whatsoever we basically rode everything we wanted to and more. El Toro was hauling ass through through the course, this thing really is a beast. My new thing is on the final hill holding one arm up with the other holding on to the grab bar, it gives the great sensation of riding a bull (I've never ridden one). Batman was being its usual awesome self, I prefer it more than Nitro at this point. Nitro gets more and more "meh" with every ride on it. Zumanjaro at night was something to behold, especially with the fog. We wrapped things up on Superman and the awful Green Lantern. I let out shouts of true pain throughout the course. Six Flags dumped a piece of its history with the coaster that saved Great Adventure for an awful stand-up. Fitting. Ride Count: Nitro - 1x Batman - !x Bizzaro - 1x El Toro - 2x Zumanjaro - 1x Superman - 1x Green Lantern - 1x
  5. Wicked Cyclone at SFNE without a doubt. I agree with those saying this could be RMC's best creation. Im curious to see how the Gerlauster hyper and Fury 325 play out though. Only thing giving Wicked Cyclone a run for its money is clearly Looping Dragon at Great Adventure
  6. I only rode Thunderbolt which was nothing to write home about. Im ranking the others off of looks and other reviews alone: 1.Lightening Run - Looks beautiful, rides beautiful and packs ejector air. Morgan really stepped their game up and I would love to see more of these installed in other parks. 2. Banshee - I'm a sucker for B&M Inverts and I could already tell this ride would do it for me. Especially if its a throw back to older B&M's as Alvey mentioned. 3. Medusa - Wow.
  7. Drachen Fire was to be made by B&M, but Busch went with Arrow to build the coaster instead. The layout design for Drachen Fire was inspired by B&M. Frankly I think that Drachen Fire would have been a better coaster and still around if it was build by B&M instead of Arrow. So in other words Drachen Fire was not a B&M coaster! My brain just hatched a great idea for BGW's future..... Drachen Fire rebuilt as a B&M Wing Coaster...Complete with a keyhole element through the cutback and the diving corkscrew in place. Der Drache Kehrt or The Dragon Returns..... I would rather see it with floorless trains. Those would allow for a closer from the original layout. I would rather see it not rebuilt because that was over 22 years ago and it didn't work.
  8. Just contracted Gerlauster to install a Euro-Fighter in my yard, running through my house.
  9. I think Talon is an awesome ride. Great first drop, good pacing and doesn't overdue it with the inversions, also its smooth as butter. Hydra is fun, but nothing to write home about. Although the first drop I find actually awesome especially in the back. The park needs a new marquee coaster and this isn't just to have one, its because it severely needs it to keep up with the competition.
  10. Probably in July. Meaning it should be ready for FightFest 2015! Don't everyone jump at once.
  11. Should have never gotten rid of Laser. I would take that over Stinger and Craposaurs Alive anyway. I sound like a broken record but a GCI woodie would be perfect for this place.
  12. 1. Great Adventure - I love Scream Machine, Viper, Rolling Thunder and Chiller.....Oh wait. But seriously although this park is lacking flats, its coaster lineup makes up for it. 2. America - Don't all get your panties in a bunch, my experiences here were always fun. I know people take huge dumps on this park but I have had great experiences in both my visits. Superman is a plus as well.....Superman is always a plus. 3. New England - I thought it was a nice clean park. Very small though, Bizzaro is awesome as well as Goliath but besides those two the collection is kind of "meh". The addition of Wicked Cyclone should work wonders. 4. Great Escape - The reject of the chain. Well kept and I understand that they focus on the watermark as a draw but the dry side is in need of some help in the coaster/ride department. Comet is the only real draw there.
  13. I heard Kingda Ka was supposed to be a Dinn Corp launched woodie, can anyone confirm this?
  14. No specific order: Alpengeist - Skis on the back of the train are a great addition Apollo's Chariot - Love the color scheme and the gold plated Busch logo on the front of the train. El Toro - The woodgrain effect and the bull on the front is kick ass. Dueling Dragons - Self Explanatory. GCI Millennium Flyer trains HollyWood Rip Rocket Ride - Extremely unique and comfortable (I know I'm gonna catch a lot of heat for this) Skyrush - I love the upper body freedom on this ride, makes the out of control feeling better.
  15. I doubt Cedar Fair would ever buy another Windseeker again After all the problems it's had. You're more likely to get a B&M Giga. LOL. You mean more likely to get a relocated boomerang for the parks 3rd shuttle coaster.
  16. How did you not ride Demon Drop? I prefer it so much more than Dominator.
  17. I'm not sure whether or not there has been a topic like this before, if there has been I apologize in advance. I'm curious to hear peoples opinion and choices on what coasters you would choose if you had build an amusement park containing 10 coasters. There are some rules to this of course, the park must have 10 coasters while including: - One Mine Train/Family Coaster - One classic wooden coaster (Pre 2000) - One Defunct coaster The rest is up to you.... As for my choices: 1. SkyRush - HersheyPark 2. El Toro - Great Adventure 3. Maverick - Cedar Point 4. Katun - Mirabilandia 5. Great American Scream Machine - Great Adventure 6. Comet - The Great Escape 7. Atlantis Adventure - Lotte World 8. Shock - Rainbow MagicLand 9. Big Grizzly Mountain - Hong Kong Disneyland 10. Kumba - Busch Gardens Tampa
  18. I still can't wrap my head around this whole "Temptesto/Diavolo" thing. I just feel like it is very unlike Busch Gardens to add something like this. It almost feels like they are adding a coaster for the sake of adding a coaster. But what do I know anyway, maybe it'll turn out great.
  19. After riding Nitro and S:ROS don't expect much from Steel Forceless. You'll only be disappointed.
  20. I like the new color scheme. At first I was indifferent but I think things are shaping up well. As for theming I think Cedar Point will add some minor swamp theming, hopefully a fog machine or two.
  21. Yea I enjoyed our ride that day, but in classic GIB fashion when we went to ride it again, it was down. It was easily my second favorite coaster in the park next to Bizzaro.
  22. It is quite simple: Steel - Arrow, without them none of this is possible. Wood - PTC, they still have a huge amount of coasters in operation along with being forerunners in the industry building many of the coasters your parents, grandparents and yourself have ridden.
  23. I'm a huge Arrow fan, they really revolutionized the industry and they are some of the most beautiful looking coasters around. This upcoming season marks the 5th anniversary of Great American Scream Machines removal at Great Adventure, not only my favorite Arrow of all time but also one of my favorite coasters of all time. Now all Great Adventure has to show for it is the green abomination the call Green Lantern.
  24. Superman: Ultimate Suck (Flight) So incredibly underwhelming.
