  1. I remember this like it was yesterday. I yearn for those days.
  2. I am a fan of this "Dive Pretzel Loop Coaster" by Vekoma. The layout looks super intense and bizarre.
  3. Well I hope you aren't holding your breath.
  4. I didn't say just because it is a "hand me down" means that it is a bad ride. It is a top 2 coaster in the park along with Talon. As for Steel Force, I've had this debate before. It isn't a terrible ride, it is just outdated.
  5. I genuinely feel bad for Dorney Park. All these other Cedar Fair parks getting new things all the time while Dorney sits stagnant with nothing but two hand me down shuttle coasters. Nonetheless I always enjoy a trip or two there in the summer to ride Talon and Possessed.
  6. Shaping up to be the best looking coaster of 2015 IMO.
  7. I would welcome a terrain Premier Launch with open arms.
  8. Thanks, I can certainly finagle some Impulse in with a Hershey trip.
  9. I 2nd this, but it is just that B&M's make more sense cause of capacity issues. Great Adventure on peak days can be insane.
  10. That thing is super quiet. I'm looking to make a trip out there this summer. Does anyone know exactly how far Knoebels is from Hershey?
  11. A Wingrider would be a perfect fit for this park. If you want hardcore intensity we already have one of the best wood coasters in the world, the world's tallest coaster and Batman which is an awesome example of 90's B&M snappiness. There's no shortage of intense coasters at the park and a wingrider would provide a different (and awesome) experience. Plus, we don't know anything about the parks future plans. We're just speculating. I'm onboard for a Wing-Rider as long as it is a launch like Thunderbird. Knowing Great Adventure if they did get one it would be bigger and badder than Thunderbird cause thats Great Adventure's M.O.
  12. Yea, the way I understood it, GAdv management was basically told, look, you're gonna get GL or you're gonna get nothing at all. They actually briefly considering putting it somewhere in the back of the park (over past Skull Mountain), but they quickly realized that wasn't feasible. Having another coaster back by Skull Mountain would be interesting. Also whoever mentioned before about GL getting sit-down train, that sounds like a splendid idea but then Six Flags would have to remarked the ride due to the fact you can't say "Stand-Up to your fear" anymore.
  13. There's someone not sexually attracted to this coaster?! I have been sexually attracted to over 10 roller coasters.

  15. I don't think anyone is saying that. Green Lantern is definitely a smoother ride than GASM, because obviously B&M > Arrow in terms of smoothness. I happened to like GASM, and have a lot of memories growing up involving GASM. 5 years on, and it still upsets me that it was removed. Green Lantern gets a lot of hate (from me) not only because it's rough (and it is indeed rough), but also because it's standing on the footprint of a coaster that meant something to me. In my eyes GL will never be anything more than a sub-par replacement for a legend. I know this isn't a rational argument as to why GASM > GL, but its my argument. This. Green Lantern will always just come across to me as a replacement....Which is what it is. I rather have a ride that is unique to the park and sort of gave the place some character as opposed to a replacement B&M stand-up. But that is just my opinion.
  16. La Cocina was one of the only places I'd actually eat at in the park to begin with. If they expand it into a dine-in I will definitely give it a try. And to whoever mentioned Turkey Legs before, I will splurge and get one every so often.
  17. I was saying that would happen from the minute people started knocking this addition.
  18. C train has new wheels and is butter smooth. Rode it on opening day the ride was a bit slower than usual but it should be tremendous once the wheels are broken in.
  19. This right here proves SF really doesn't care about their guests.
  20. Arrow went out of business almost a decade before GASM was taken down. They had plenty of spare parts from Shockwave and other Arrow coasters. If this was the case other Arrow Mega-Loopers such as Viper, Vortex, Anaconda, Tennessee Tornado and Loch Ness Monster would have been taken down for the same reason.
  21. Don't Skull Mountain, Mine Train and Dark Knight fall into this category? I agree with you for the most part... Rolling Thunder wasn't awful but it didn't do much of anything and Scream Machine was a horrible ride. That being said they did manage to do the impossible with that one and find a coaster so awful that it made Scream Machine look great by comparison. I have no complaints about either ride being removed but I'd argue that Green Lantern is worse than Scream Machine ever dreamed of being. Yea I guess you could group those into "intermediate" coasters if you want too. Rolling Thunder still dwarfed all of them and was the closest to an adult coaster out of the three, but I see what you're saying here. As for Green Lantern replacing GASM, I still am confused by this move.
  22. Hopefully this sparks the renaissance on that side of the park that is needed so desperately which I mentioned in previous posts.
  23. Moes and Whoopie Pies sound awesome. Hershey can't do any wrong, I can't wait to ride Laff Track this summer. Spinners are a blast and this one should be super disorienting.
