  1. Get there early and ride Tempesto first; then the rest of the day should be pretty easy. I usually ride Apollo's Chariot after Tempesto, then head for Verbolten and work my way around. As for food, it depends on what you like. I think the best items at the park's main restaurants are the cannelloni at the Italian restaurant, the sausage sampler or roast chicken in the Festhaus, and the brisket at the Smokehouse. The Sausage Sampler at Festhaus is the best bang for a buck IMO. I'm sorry, couldn't help myself!
  2. Skyrush is the only ride I've ever gotten off of and thanked the restraint out loud in the station with other people around. Yes, I am aware I looked like a psychopath.

  4. Where in that cave is an animatronic going?
  5. Comet is one of the most underrated rollercoasters in the world. Nobody talks about it and the ride is an absolute beast.
  6. If its Hershey's Intamins you have come for (which is what most enthusiasts come for) you will not be disappointed!
  7. If we're talking coasters I wouldn't sleep on a B&M WingRider or Flyer being added.
  8. Once you get past all the enthusiast generated noise about Boomerangs and SLCs, which I would imagine just about all parks do, I don't see why one wouldn't. I doubt a relatively straightforward sit-down design would come with the issues that affected their GIBs or (early on) their Dutchman. Trust me I have no problem with Vekoma (I am actually a fan of their coasters as they are some of the only ones that still sort of scare me). I'm just going off the notion that parks would go with proven designs such as Intamin and B&M than risk it on a company who is venturing into the design for the first time.
  9. If Six Flags has been maintaining the track well as said in some of the discussion before me, the Millennium Flyer trains should work pretty well for Roar. I never found it to be a bad ride, I actually found it quite enjoyable.
  10. I think RMC, Chance Morgan and Mack are all ready to build a hyper if requested. Vekoma could certainly do it as well, the thing is that would have to have a request for one....An who the hell out there is looking for a Vekoma hyper?
  11. Giga: Millenium Force (Bucket List) Hyper: Skyrush Hybrid: Wicked Cyclone (soon to be my only one ridden) Invert: Montu Woodie 1: El Toro Woodie 2: Boulder Dash Launched: StormRunner Anything 1: Atlantis Adventure (Bucket List) Anything 2: Maverick (Bucket List) Anything 3: Griffin
  12. I accompanied him there and all I have to say is the place is a tragedy. I probably enjoyed it 10 years ago cause I was a kid. The S&S an the flume are stellar, but besides that the place looks like it is in despair. The Dragon coaster could be so much better than it is, I think due large in part to the trains as well.
  13. A new coaster for Dorney? Sure it would be great for the park, especially down in the lower midway area. It would open up so much to add more rides and restaurants....But i'll believe it when I see it.
  14. ^ I agree with that "Not holding my breath statement." I've been holding out ever since that GCI rumor surfaced.
  15. ^ That was one of the funniest trip report i've ever read. Thank you for making my day. You literally took every coaster from Great Adventure and compared it to Hershey's. "Lightening Racer and Wildcat were okay but not El Toro." I mean come on dude its like comparing apples and oranges. Same with Skyrush and Nitro. The "launch coster" you speak of is Stormrunner."
  16. Of course they do! Because it's a really fun ride and should be at more parks! And all BGW has done is proven how wrong obnoxious coaster dorks can be. And this makes me happy! The main complaint with Tempesto beside the ride itself was the theming/placement. I can vouch by saying the coaster fits very snug within the parks lineup as well as fitting in aesthetically.
  17. Solid ride, good addition to go along with Boulder Dash. I rode Tempesto a few weeks back and it was really fun. Happy to have a clone closer to home.
  18. Take a spin on Boulder Dash or Tremors, after that it's all self explanatory. Tremors has one of the coolest tunnels if not THE coolest tunnel. The Tremors gift shop is in the tunnel! Boulder Dash is an experience all its own, it is pure insanity from the minute the train leaves the lift hill till the brake run, it doesn't let up the least bit. Not once.
  19. I could see KD adding a flat or two next year. I expect a coaster in 2017 though.
  20. What price do Euro-Fighters generally go for? One of those makes sense for this park, I was even thinking a launch coaster from Gerstlauer along the lines of Anubis: The Ride and Lynet.
  21. They helped to pave the way for other companies such as GCI. As far as coasters they put out, there are some great ones out there. Boulder Dash, Raven, Tremors, Shivering Timbers...Hell I for one even enjoy Great White.
  22. This has awesome written all over it. I can't wait, the possibilities are very wide.
  23. I'll take any sort of steel coaster at this point. I'm just happy they're finally getting a new coaster.
