  1. If that trend continues I could certainly see Boss at SFSTL next on the chopping block.
  2. I grew up in Howell, NJ, 10 miles from Great Adventure. Now I'm in Vegas working for Cirque. Oh, Kewl! Your so much better than everyone else now that you live in Vegas:)
  3. I like how they're proving my point about how crappy the people from those cities are. It's beautiful. Where are you from thats so wonderful? If you don't mind me asking?
  4. Truth. As a Philadelphian, Im offended that you would lump me in with the New Yorkers. They're Disgusting. You really want to compare cities? New York has it beat in every aspect from history to art and food as well as sports. Not to mention there is an entire tv series satarizing how trashy Phillidelphins are.
  5. Kingsmill. Both Intamin pre-fabs and RMC's are significantly quieter than traditional wood coasters.
  6. I'm just disappointed you grouped us NYC people with Philly. Come on man.
  7. An Intamin Pre-Fab would look nice in Drachen Fires old footprint. Just wishful thinking though.
  8. Good to see it back up and running. I was disappointed it wasn't open on the day of my visit though. One of my favorites in the park.
  9. Has it really been a issue? I mean, I really didn't hear that many people waiting in super long lines for it. It rarely exceeds 45 minutes. The ops on the ride are terrific. And that's VERY reasonable for the park's "new ride" - one that many people claimed would have such low capacity that the line would be HOURS long! My favorite complaint when it was being installed was how it was going to be "out of place" or "ruin the aesthetics of Apollo's Chariot" or some other made up complaint. When I went there in June and finally saw it looked absolutely fine. I actually think it makes the Festa Italia section looked better. It was nicely place inbetween two things like a booth or show at an actually festival.

  11. This. In all seriousness it is all about perspective. Some people enjoy the floater air of B&M hypers compared to the "Holy shit I may get launchd out of my seat" air of Intamin's. Apollo's Chariot is one of my favorite rollercoasters with great floater air and maybe a strong pop or two of ejector air during the course. But I will certainly not say it stacks up airtime wise amongst other coasters I've ridden.
  12. This has a very Seinfeld episode feel too it. George wears a toupee and a ride attendant rips it off after Jerry, Elaine and Kramer warn him they would do it. In all seriousness only this place allows for weaves to be hanging off their 10+ million dollar investments.
  13. True to Six Flags nature members of staff are too lazy to remove the weave. I swear to christ this is the only park in the country where it is commonplace to see weaves hanging on or around rides.
  14. You guys remember those ladders leaning on the theater before demolition? Those were clues to tell us a 4-D free-spin was coming to the lakefront since the ride looks like folded ladders. All in the Six Flags theming.
  15. Wildcat and Lightening Racers at Hershey have an awesome lighting package. My favorite though has to be Morey's Piers, they sure do know how to light rides. Here is a picture of Great White from my last trip.
  16. I guess the part of me that loves the old Hershey is from the nostalgia of visits to the park when I was young. This nostalgia being the late 1990's when the parks lineup was SuperDooperLooper, Great Bear, Comet, Wildcat, Sidewinder, Trailblazer and the Wild Mouse.
  17. except for an S&S free spin. It will look like a stack of metal ladders in front of a lake. I have to say free spins are some of the ugliest looking creations out there.
  18. Guys it is okay if every single person in this thread says Lightening Rod, cause we should. ^ I am very excited for Taron as well.
  19. Preach brother that Maryland sun is unforgiving.
  20. StormRunner at Hershey Park deserves way more recognition than it gets.
  21. One of the best things i've seen in a long long time. Thank you.
  22. ^ Wow that is incredible looking.
  23. Morey's Piers and Knoebels. Stratosphere at Knoebels is actually 148 feet tall.
  24. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with Comet. It's a really solid coaster... the other 2 are just credit coasters. Also ride Coal Cracker this time... all the cool kids ride Coal Cracker. Nothing better than a log flume with airtime. I like Comet a lot but I do think that is was running better last season. Last year it was incredible in the back.
