Lagoon Discussion Thread
Jcoaster replied to Twister II's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Good God. Lagoon is sick in the head. -
-People are out here bitching about getting a "clone" of a ride which only has 3 other copies in the entire world. - People commenting on a ride they have never ridden - People thinking they can play the role of park GM. Yes this sounds about right for an enthusiast forum. Every needs to calm down and enjoy the fact that BGW is adding a new quality attraction. BGW isn't known for making boneheaded mistakes when adding rides, so I highly doubt this will be a dud. We don't even know all the details yet without the announcement. Who knows how they are theming it with landscaping etc. Busch knows what they are doing, have faith.

I'm 1000% on board for this. Its going to be terrifying going that high and traveling at those speeds. -
The Best Terrain Coaster

Boulder Dash no question. I rode it recently and it is rivaling El Toro. That thing is a beast. -

Heading here this weekend. How long are the lines for Boulder Dash generally? I want to at least get 5 rides in on it. -
I used to think this way but I much rather ride Batman's short intense layout and face it's assault of inversions and tight turns than Nitro's drawn out mile long course at this point. It is all personal preference. Kingda Ka, no never. I would way rather ride Batman than wait on line for an hour just for a launch.

I really feel like Batman is the second best coaster in the park. I'm not even knocking the other rides when I say that, I just don't see how anyone doesn't like a ride that's this intense, fast and smooth. There's nothing not to love about it. I second that (no pun intended). At this point the top 3 rides in the park for me are Toro, Batman and Zumanjaro.

I've only been on Steel Force and it hasn't left a lasting impression. It's my lowest ranked hyper coaster. -
Carowinds Discussion Thread

No. I think it will be a fairly decent coaster, with dynamic forces and lots of speed . Fury 325 is a well rounded coaster. Key word: Think. Nobody knows what the ride will be like until it is ridden. Animations and stats are great but I'm sure people were excited when Son of Beast first opened too. I'm not saying this will be a bad ride, I think it is going to be tremendous for Carowinds. People just shouldn't declare things about rides that aren't even built yet. -

I read this thread and just laugh. How can anyone predict what a coaster is going to ride like if they only have a few footers in the ground? Now is the time for excitement. If this was my home park I would be drooling over the prospect of the world's tallest giga coaster (This is coming from a spoiled Great Adventure person). Once Fury is built and opened and people actually ride...We will know what kind of ride it is. Save the reviews for after riding it/after it opens. Until then shut up and be excited for what is coming to the park.
