I can't help but giggle a little every time I see "harnasses."

Lightning, because every time I ride it, Lightning always wins. Wooden coaster with steel supports or steel coaster with wooden supports?

^^Notice how Powers statements are long and detailed with a TON of facts to back up his argument. Meanwhile, Mr. Markey's statements are short, vague, and will occasionally include "I don't know." He doesn't have a lot of facts to support him and his strongest argument is that government regulation could make the parks even safer. But here's the kicker, he says that "[The government] regulates baby carriages, bicycles, and baby seats," but then why are you more likely to get injured using these objects than riding a roller coaster? Powers even stated, "600,000 emergency room injuries from bicycles." If those are the odds of something regulated by the government, then I don't want those kind of odds at my amusement park! -

Having an amusement park with all thrill rides, but you exceed the maximum height limit for all of them. What's worse than realizing you've left your wallet at your hotel room after you've checked out, and are now sitting on a plane headed for home? -

Mine is Canyon Blaster at The Great Escape. While rough rides can be pretty painful, at least they leave an impression on me. Canyon Blaster is the most pointless ride I've ever ridden. I kept on waiting for the ride to do something interesting. Then just as I started to enjoy the last helix, the ENTIRE ride is over. I'd take an SLC and even SFGAdv's Runaway Mine Train over this anyday. -

Waiting in a two hour line for something, only to get to the front and realize you've been standing in the wrong line. (and then you get into the corret 2 hour line and it's sold out when you get to the front. DOUBLE WHAMMY!) What's worse than tossing a finished cigarette into a public garbage can, and then hearing an explosion come from it a few seconds later. -

^How dare you graduate high school! And cannon's totally blast you at highway speeds. DUH! Seriously, that girl needs to calm down. Not only are her comments degrading to the park, but she has absolutely no respect for anybody who disagrees with her. I'm not surprised her comments disappeared. Anyway, back to the general topic: Once when I was working at Six Flags New England in 2008, we were preparing to open up the park one Friday afternoon during the school year. I'm walking on the midway just past Batman when a mini-van with two women drives up to me and they asked me if that was the direction to preferred parking (remember, this is inside the park). Apparently they found the parade gate open and thought that was the way. I guess driving past a bunch of waterslides wasn't the least bit suspicious to them. -
What is your favorite band?
VinTheAttendant replied to SonOfBeastSucks's topic in Random, Random, Random
I don't really choose a favorite band and they tend to change as I get older, but the band that is consistently high on my list for the longest time is: Muse! Linkin Park is a very close second, but I don't listen to much of them anymore. Other bands include: Rise Against The Beatles The Doors Bullet For My Valentine Breaking Benjamin AC/DC Skillet Foo Fighters and System of a Down -

Their fb page has a lot more smart comments than I've ever seen at a park's page after an accident, but it also has some downright ridiculous comments too. There was a girl who suggested that the park should've had a net under the coaster the entire time. When another person dismissed her idea, she fought him and his intelligence. I know not everyone is studying physics, but we're not living in a freaking cartoon! -

Six Flags New England/Riverside Park did plan to build an oddly shaped casino where their picnic grove is. Edit: Found a picture from Anthony DePace Architectural and Engineering Models I do not own this picture -
I have had to face amputees many times (one had both legs amputated). Let me tell you, it sucks to say no. It's hard to say no. Not only do people around you protest, but you get a devastated look in the face of the would-be rider. I can only imagine it would have been a difficult choice for the RoS crew to make regardless of their knowledge if he was a war vet or not. Of course, not wanting to hurt someone's feelings is no excuse to jeopardize safety. Even wimpy me was able to keep them off of the ride. I just wanted to give a little more intel on what could have been going through the attendant's head. (unless they were just the "I don't care all the time" type of people).

^^When I worked at SFNE, weekends tend to be really crowded while most weekdays were not bad. I'd recommend a Tuesday or Thursday visit (sorry, I don't feel like looking up which days of the week your numbers are ) UFAlien did a very good job describing kids attractions. Aside from the kiddie area, there are plenty of other rides they may be able to ride with an adult. All ride heights are on the park's website, but not all of them are on the park maps. Waterpark is free with admission, but it tends to get crowded regardless of what day of the week it is. You can try tackling both in one day. Being a local, I've never really had to do it. However, because of the waterpark, ride lines tend to decline throughout the day if you wish to take advantage of that. Otherwise, there are some good and decent slides at the park and LOTS of stuff for kids to do. When I worked there, I always told guest do NOT eat the food. It is way over-priced. Unfortunately, options are extremely limited here since no food is allowed in the park. I wish I could tell you the cheapest option if you have to buy food, but unfortunately I follow my own advice lol. Last tip, when the waterpark closes, the lines for rides tend to swell for about an hour or so. So if you do go to the waterpark, you may want to leave before the big crowds do so you can get in lines for rides ahead of time. And that's all the info I've got. I have heard a lot of good reviews and bad reviews of the park, but every time I've gone I've had a good day. Be sure to bring plenty of cash for the fluffy fluffy bunnies filled with medicine and goo. If you want to ride Bizarro, back seat is the best! If you want to ride Mind Eraser, keep your head back and to the right at all times. Do as much research on the park as you can and have a good trip!
