The name Shoot The Rapids isn't the best name in the world but it has history behind it. That was the name of CP's original log flume. I would of liked White Water Landing much better. This ride just better not be a soaker.

^^It's Cedar Fair. I'm happy there is this much theming. I really do think it may start out as a soaker but within a few years it will be more like a traditional log flume in terms of wetness.

Apparently they are not going to move the tracks. Instead there will just be another crossing put in. I have the same complaint about the amount of wetness of this ride. However knowing Cedar Fair, eventually all water effects will stop working and you will only get wet by the drops.

The closest I have ever been was on TTD at Coastermania this year. I was on the first train during ERT Saturday morning and we crawled over the top. I got absolutely no airtime and everybody on the ground really did think we would roll back. That made me so mad.

The GP here in Ohio tend to get somewhat "angry" when they go to CP a few years in a row with only one new ride. The people of Ohio have just grown accustomed to CP having a new coaster every 3 years (or less).

They did remove it. It was under the events page, but when I tried clicking on the direct link nothing was displayed.

Posted on Pointbuzz, apparently if you combine all the clues together and count the number of letters, it equals 52. I then realized that Prowler goes 51 mph and Terminator goes 50 mph. I'm hoping this is another clue towards the GCI (or maybe I'm just crazy).

How disappointing would that be After a few years, it would become The Crypt of the north.

^^MF's lights were not working at that time but are now fully functional. ^Those polls are for Terror Island during Halloweekends. Nothing to do with the current construction.

Last year Ohio got hit by a very strong tropical storm (from Hurricane Ivan, I think) causing 84 of the 88 counties to declare a state of emergency. If Ohio can practically get hit by a hurricane, I think KD could easily get hit.

They really should hire you! All I would have to is stand there and Maverick would become the most reliable coaster ever created.

It seems like everyday I'm at CP, Maverick runs great (haven't seen any breakdowns all season). Whenever I'm not there, it becomes the Intamin we all know and love.

Also remember that KD could be in the path of a hurricane, so things must be built stronger.

^^I agree with you on SOB, but not Firehawk and Backlot. Firehawk is one of my favorite rides and is also still a very popular ride (what sence would it make to remove a popular ride after just 2 years). Backlot is more of a family coaster, which KI needs.

^The first time I went on Vortex, Adventure Express and Flight Deck, I thought these have gotten a lot rougher over the off season. I'm glad it wasn't just me.

5 at CP Since they are closing BBW so early, maybe this means new coaster for 2010.

Up until after the first corkscrew, Chang is basically a mirror layout of Mantis (with Chang being a little taller and faster).
