What a disappointment. They just ran out of gas trying to play catch-up in the 2nd half. Damned early goals.
-
I doubt that an all-day pass exists for any German funfair, as the rides are all owned by different operators - unlike the US where fairs usually only include one operator (or maybe two at a huge fair) I'm not positive, but I think Olympia runs 5 euros a ride

best thread ever

The quality team that gets Bosh will rule the NBA.

I remember being in Washington in 94 when the Mexican team qualified for the knock-out round - not a huge deal, even to me as an American - and the city was full of crazy Mexican celebrators. That was my first glance into how passionate of an event the World Cup can be
-
I can't believe the Americans won a group!

I'd suggest not dwelling on the sound system too much - worst case scenario, you can put together a pretty good system for $500 or so, which is less than you'd often pay for it as an upgraded option on a new car And f*** the hamster commercials
-
I was saying go VW - which is vastly different than BMWs or Porsche's. I just strongly dislike Toyota, and would MUCH rather have a Honda if I HAD to go Asian - or even a Hyundai
-
and somehow needed to throw in 16 fouls in the process - wtf?

Used Mk5 GTI. Let someone else take the new-car depreciation (0% doesn't matter if you are losing $8k when you drive it off the lot, especially with VW offering 1.99% on pre-loved cars), and get a fun little car with space, a solid build, a terrific powertrain and fuel economy. A buddy has a mk5, so I've gotten to see how awesome it is over the past year+. You can get a really good deal too: 2007 GTI in Chicago - 7k miles, certified, asking $17k You can probably find one around $15k with 30k miles - which is still quite reasonable

I think this may be the first time ever that I can't figure out what park/rides are in a photo - finally, I may have this coaster crap out of my head!!! So.. anyone know where that is?

OMG!! You're kidding, right?! Welcome to chatting on the internet, dude. Deal with it.

TPR illegal in France?
ParkTrips replied to Noxegon's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
haha, it thinks TPR is a gambling site - there's nothing on here to make anyone think its gambling-related, yet there are all kinds of "porn" references that seem to be ok.. gotta love the French! -
Think the English and Americans still believe they had a favorable group?
-
^ Yeah, I just read that. We couldn't actually hear the game, but since they kept showing the side angle, I assumed they had called offsides. Just some random foul... LAME
-
At least the officiating was pretty much consistently poor for both sides. Shame that the offsides took away the winner, but it was close, and from 20+ yards away, a tough call. The US also missed a lot of other opportunities today, so keep that in mind when dwelling on the refs. I suppose we have to hope to beat Algeria and see anything but a draw when the English play Slovenia (a Slovenian win would be wonderful!!).

^ LOVE IT!! I can't believe a team just shot 30ish% and won a game 7 (or that the Celtics lost with that in mind!!) - take away the last half of the 4th, and I think we just watched a high school basketball game. What was the rebound margine on the game??
-
It was 1,95m. Talocan was the same, and I believe Winjas was too. I know I was close as I am about 1,9m (6'3") - you must wear shoes on Black Mamba as well. I had to bring shoes to Germany for that sole purpose, when I would have preferred flip flops Phantasialand is a nice park, but when several of the biggest rides have max heights, it might be one of the least-friendly parks for tall people. Also, for some reason, I am remembering a max on Dueling Dragons.

Do Your Friends Know of Your Coasterness?
ParkTrips replied to AJClarke0912's topic in Random, Random, Random
I'm only in it for the bitches -
Almost forgot.. my favorite comment from the game earlier was something along the lines of "I think a gust of wind just knocked Ronaldo over" - what a pansy I don't think they are very distracting, but I do think they are kind of dumb
-
I agree. Truthfully, these have been some of the most boring crowds I've ever seen for a soccer game, yet alone World Cup. I blame it on being in South Africa oh, and they WERE doing the wave in the Cote d'/Portugal game today Decent enough match for the game this morning

College Conference Realignment
ParkTrips replied to themeparkman25's topic in Random, Random, Random
The Big Ten already had 11 teams, so Nebraska gives them 12. The Pac 10 can probably find someone else to join them out of the MWC - BYU or Utah perhaps? Guess all the hype of realignment has fizzled out to be pretty mild. -
Black and White at the Point!
ParkTrips replied to dammie16@vt.edu's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
funny, because I was thinking black and white TOTALLY capture the dullness of Cedar Point! Perfect!
