  1. ^Please understand what thread you are in before making a rude reply. There is no disputing the uniqueness of jrd64's observation. He never made a prediction based on the observation.
  2. ^I love Glenwood Caverns, but a stop off there adds at least two hours to his travel time. Also, in reading his PTR, it is clear that thrillrider is also very value oriented and making a quick stop at Glenwood Caverns Adventure (and not taking in everything) doesn't allow him to stretch his dollars. That would be great, but we will be in that area on July 12th(A Wednesday), and unfortunately the coaster is not open that day. Your right about the weird hours. I know Wonderland in Amarillo has wacky hours also, but it is only 3 miles from I-40. Costs are cheap, it is never crowded and has a great Bill Tracy dark ride. My PTR can give give a few BBQ/brisket ideas as you pass through Amarillo, Oklahoma City and Tulsa. All places I went to were very reasonably priced. About $5 for a brisket sandwich. http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1618755#p1618755
  3. Awwww! That's so cute the way things work in your world. In the real world RFPs are sent to the manufacturers with the proposals evaluated before making a decision.
  4. You overlooked using the search function. They are various similar threads already in existence that can be utilized to continue your discussion. http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1609728#p1609728 http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1009962#p1009962 http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=152751#p152751 http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1189267#p1189267
  5. I really like that they chose a name that is relevant to the logging industry in the area.
  6. It could be done better, as you have to figure out where each gun is firing. Each gun has a unique color and number. which is noted on your seat (this is addressed in the pre-video). Once you fire a test shot and locate where your gun is firing you adjust your aim with each shot. I completely agree it would be more fun if the guns were calibrated properly and it was easier to locate your shot. The reasons I like it. 1) I like shooting rides 2) I like the concept 3) I like indoor attractions I completely understand it is not for everybody
  7. Divv, you are a filthy whore. OMG! You slept with Jessie.
  8. Dollywood - Smokies Cuban Cafe on the main drag close to Dollywood Lane. Ham croquettes were insane. Masitas de Puerco were also very good. Menu Meal
  9. The park is much more crowded today versus yesterday. I caught the new site Enra yesterday. I had not seen them on America's Got Talent, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I loved the first 10 minutes of the show, then the show started dragging and I fell asleep. I woke up for the last 5 minutes, which was similar to the parts that put me to sleep.
  10. Was there a picture of Jessie in your Toy Story themed room? I know Jessie is the reason you chose the value hotel.
  11. OMG - I'm so unprepared, I'm at the park today and have not been asking everyday how Lightning Run is running. Oh noes.
  12. I got to the park at opening today and had 7 rides on Fury325 to start the day. I did a couple of laps around the park but didn't ride much. Afterburn still runs great. The ride cycle on Woodstock Gliders seemed much shorter than I remember. I really like Plants vs. Zombies, even though I had to rude 3 times before i got a decent gun. I think the County Fair area looks great. I was going to turn the new restraints on the Boomerang, the crowds started picking up by the time I thought about it at 3PM.
  13. ^Another good reason to get rid of BAFF days. But coasterbill pretty much summed it up for me also.
  14. The new restraints look more comfortable than the old. But the hard fiberglass shell you sit in (and potentially bang your elbows against) has not changed. Straps appear softer and less abrasive. Side restraints appear to be further away from your head. New Old
  15. Definitely a park I need to visit during a future trip to Europe
  16. Brazil trip???? Not until they become a first world country!
  17. I am only missing King Kobra. It was not operating the weekend my family visited the park back in 1979.
  18. Sorry to ruin everybody's fun and point out the obvious, but the Healthy Options tab brings you to dining places that offer at least one healthy item, not a whole menu of healthy items.
  19. ^I hope it is true, but I'm not wasting my time next week to verify whether this is fake news or not.
  20. Sorry, if I had been better prepared for this week at school, I would had the time to hang out with you rejects the rest of the day. Did the cashiers at Macho Nacho have any issues with their registers accepting the Dining Passes. It was a cluster over at Best of The West, multiple customers in a row having issues with cards not scanning and managers scrambling to figure out what was wrong. At first my card wasn't accepted, then after two more attempts the meal registered as free, but they could not subtract the dessert. The register was backed up but the servers were quick with the orders.
  21. FYI - Today was the park's Grand Opening
