I have reworded your thread heading as we really don't need a discussion thread for Terra Mitica. We have not heard much about this park in the past few years. Such a shame as the park was affiliated with a wonderful resort.

How is this a 3 day trip?

I have never watched CSI. My opinion is based on my first person encounters.

I hope they turn things around, I loved Mirabilandia, but that was 7 years ago.

Add in the existing Pinks and Panda Express and you can get tasty food at Cedar Point. Although I prefer Marco Polo's marketplace at BGW

Lol in restrospect you're right, this makes a ton of sense. My post was referencing the fact that ever since they posted the photo of the raptor track we all (I'll include myself in this one) lost our sh*t trying to figure out what park bought one for 2018 and the enthusiast community as a whole somehow decided it was going to Silverwood or Knott's when in fact it's going in the parking lot. I totally get what they're doing, but there's something pretty funny about that IMO. I wasn't taking a dig at you personally, it was aimed at our whole community that needs to be able to laugh at itself.

Given Togo's track record, I don't doubt that Viper was a terrible coaster, but I never got a chance to experience its awfulness. I have however ridden Big Apple/Manhattan Express (another Togo trainwreck) and rank it as my least favorite coaster I've ridden of all time. For those that have ridden both, how much worse was SFGadv's Viper compare again Big Apple/Manhattan Express? They were both real bad, but I felt that Viper was worse. Manhattan Express seems worse because first they rob you (with the price) then the ride rapes you.

at 5.5 hours away, I don't consider HW to be a day trip from chicago. That's a total of 11 hours of driving AND going to an amusement park in between all in one day? No thanks, that has hotel stay written all over it for me. A 20 year old can handle more strenuous day trips. I used to not bat a eye at a 5-6 hour drive each way to Busch Gardens Williamsburg or Kings Dominion for a day trip.

If you are not into the trailer park trash food places that are being suggested, Italian Villa is about 5 minutes west of the park at 445 County Rd 539, Cream Ridge, NJ 08514. Not my favorite pizza in the area but great Italian food.

As I turn 50, I am reminded that Lion Country Safari also turns fifty. I only know of this place because my college roommate's parents bought him some shares of the company when he was born 50 years ago.

Most people that dislike L&B, don't like any Sicilian slices at all. Comparing the taste of L&B to Ellios is like comparing forces on an Intamin to a Pinfari.

I rarely eat Sicilian pizza, but when I do I prefer L&B Spumoni Gardens.
