Robb & Elissa in Asia - 2016!
larrygator replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Absolutely no argument from me! DisneySea is the best. I'm not even a Disney fan, but agree that DisneySea is the best theme park. -

In Japanese culture the worker is loyal to his employer and the employer is loyal his employees. The concept of seasonal work is not a long standing concept in Japan. So even if an employer closed they would still pay the employees, so they might as well stay open. -

As was the use of a VCR tape to start the movie. -
The relocated coasters from Geauga Lake were nowhere near 27 years old, I believe there were all less than 10 years old. Of course it makes sense to move coasters from a closed park when the coasters still have years left in them. How about you read the thread to figure out that I was trying to make a point, or just 'ef off. Someone mentioned that Matt Ouimet's regime does not like to relocate rides. Someone argued, then what would you call Carolina Cobras? (implying that it was relocated), and so I replied emphasizing that even though it was relocated, it was relocated at a time when Matt Ouimet was not the CEO. My point is that it was common for rides to be relocated then, not just from Geauga Lake, but not now, thus agreeing with the original poster who said Matt Ouimet's regime does not like to relocate rides. I'm not sure why you got so offended but my reply, if you read the whole site, you would realize I don't like to quote multiple posts and generally only quote the most recent relevant post. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed your last post on TPR.

Why are coaster enthusiasts weird?
larrygator replied to DBru's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You have a bunch of weird people criticizing others in the same hobby saying the others are weird. This happens with coasters and it happens in EVERY other hobby. People outside every hobby, think that hobby is weird to a degree. If they don't think the hobby is weird they join it, in turn making them weird. -

OMG! Don't even get me started on this! His "injury" if my memory serves correctly had more to do with the fact that his ex-girlfriend showed up at the event with her new boyfriend and he was trying to play the "oh, I'm hurt" sympathy card on her. I wanted to be all "Um, this is WHY she's not your girlfriend anymore!!!!!" Ugh, I hate people. I have been racking my brain for two days to remember the parties involved. The incident is fresh in my mind and was exactly as Robb described it but I couldn't remember the names. I finally recalled the name of the guy taking the tumble and now I can't stop laughing. Good Times.

Triple hush on Houdini! It is still a fun ride and the best Vekoma Mad House in America. Would love to see something in the old 4D theater (even a 3D film) just to make HITP more appealing in the most inclement weather with one more enclosed attraction. I always felt like having five indoor rides would be the tipping point to increase attendance further.

I'd like to say a few things about that "spoiled pain in the ass spawn" Kristen is far from spoiled and she is certainly not a pain in the ass. Of course she enjoys some traveling benefits that most other kids don't, but it's not all a picnic for her on these trips. She was a real trooper over the years being pushed around in the world's most traveled stroller and many times not being able to ride much. Other kids you would have to bribe parents after subjecting them an amusement park with ridiculously high height minimums, especially during ERT sessions. But Kristen is content trying to win prizes with the money she earns riding kiddie coasters with socially inept adults. Quite frankly I think Elissa enjoys playing those games more than Kristen. Kristen is the most well mannered, behaved and socially aware kid I have met in the past 15 years, and I work with kids. She is also very smart. Spoiled kids get all the material things they ask for, but most of the things Kristen asks for are educational in nature. I've traveled on many TPR trips over the years (including this 2012 New Hotness Tour) and never saw Kristen throw and tantrum, run around unsupervised or make a huge fuss. I can not see how someone would get this impression of her, it is just vindictive to make a swipe like that at a child.

It sounds like you are asking if one day is enough time to ride 6 coasters. -
Please stop coming back and creating multiple accounts.

Except for between 3-4, the only times you can not get a meal are before 11AM, before most of the food places are open, and after 8PM. Most food places have less workers after 8PM, so extending the hours would allow you to wait in line when less workers can help you. Few people eat meals that late How would it help wait times? The one hour gap between 3PM and 4PM is to prevent people from easily gaming the system and sharing two meals between two people at the same time. The only issue I have with the times is that I can't get a snack between 8PM and before closing.

The former Park President stated during a Q&A after the Joker construction tour that each park with a current Panda Express contract would honor that contract. At the time, all he said was that Panda Express would not be replaced during the 2016 season, but did not state when the contract ends at SFGAdv. Yes, I ask the important questions when I cover an event for TPR.
