  1. B&M = Bolliger & Mabillard = designers of many great coasters my 2 cents = Parque Warner is the better park
  2. ^No, I really did capture one picture and put it in the TPR Park Index for Cedar Point under TTD. It's the one from the base, not a great picture, but unique.
  3. You have one good photo in there. The rest are just blurry and/or uninspiring.
  4. It's a toss up between Old Town and Magical Midway.
  5. Monster Mouse at Quassy may be the scariest operating coaster in the US. At Lake Compounce the Skyride is worth doing for the scenery. The water rides at The Lake get you very wet if that is a draw. You should have no problem getting everything done between 5PM and closing. I'm not sure what route you are driving but Rye Playland is probably the only park close.
  6. I'm just surprised the babes in underwear you were going on about weren't your un-step-kids
  7. Yes, Hanno that's a much better picture, thanks!
  8. The Title Fairy maketh the rules and the Title Fairy breaketh the rules.
  9. ^Elissa - I didn't want to steal your thunder by mentioning the 2009 Southeast US mini-trip, I didn't know if the cat was out of the bag yet.
  10. You ask for input but you really haven't given much information about yourself for people to help you. What type of parks do you prefer? Themed or traditional or doesn't matter? Do you prefer wood or steel coasters? What are your favorite coasters? Do you prefer certain ride manufacturers? Do you like flats or will you just be riding coasters? Are you traveling with others? Others who might prefer shows? If you don't let us more more about your preferences, people are just going to post opinions based on their own preferences.
  11. Yes, but labor laws do prohibit the number of work hours. Certain jobs (such as paperboy) can be performed legally at a younger age, at least that was the case when I was a kid.
  12. Thanks for these pictures from a park not visited by many TPR members. However, please note. TPR has made huge strides recently in updating their Park Index Page growing from 170 parks to almost 400 parks. If anyone wants so see additional pictures of Dream World, some of the more detailed PTRs from Dream World can be easily accessed through the TPR Park Index link at the top of the page. http://www.themeparkreview.com/parks/page.php?pageid=367
  13. Service at the Dragon Bar was not very good last year either.
  14. I was at Busch Gardens last Friday, July 11th and here is my experience. I got there at 2PM and the overflow parking lots were not open yet. I stayed until almost closing and here is what I did. Griffon - 5 times (it is worth using the single rider line if open, if you don't need to ride right next to your dad) Alpengeist - 2 times Apollos Chariot - 3 times Big Bad Wolf - 1 time Loch Ness Monster - 1 time Darkastle - 1 time Corkscrew Hill - 1 time also spent 20 in Brewmaster's Tasting (highly recommended but you have to be 21 to attend). I could have rushed and done more but went back on Saturday for a couple more hours.
  15. Thanks for the extra Arika Expressen pictures. I have added your Photo Trip Report to the TPR Park Index Page, since we have not had another PTR from this park posted on the site.
  16. I'll try to help out with #1 and #4 #1 - Personally I think Avalanche is worth $6 and 30 minutes of your time. I consider it my 2nd favorite coaster. #4 - Busch Gardens gets very crowded on weekends. If you will be there on a Saturday or Sunday the new Fast Pass is worth it if you hate waiting on lines and enjoy multiple rides on coasters. You should be able to get everything in withut it but if you want repeats get the Fast Pass.
  17. If you have any add'l photos of the coasters please post them, TPR would love to see them. thanks
  18. Which brings up the question of, "Why is a Bobsled considered a coaster?" That one I don't understand. What a stupid hobby we have chosen!
  19. ^I don't understand your logic. I rode an Alpine Slide and a Mountain Coaster at Jiminy Peak a month ago. They are not the same. Mountain Coaster = Credit Alpine Slide = no Credit
  20. Chuck - looks like you got a picture of Kristie right after she leg whipped TPDave (you can see him writhing in pain) and right before she fell off the spinning thing and conked her head on the ground. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/files/tl_39_590.jpg Melanie - work on the Bowcraft and Quassy PTRs, also.
  21. Good Job - We did not have a PTR for Arnolds in the Park Index until now. thanks
  22. Surprisingly the rapids ride did not get anyone that wet. The construction of the raft into quarter sections somehow prevented anyone from getting drenched.
  23. Finally an expert chimes in. With that screen name, this guy must know his stuff!
  24. One thing you need to remember is not to take pictures of people eating (especially in the morning) unless you know them and have asked their permission. Few pictures of people eating turn out flattering. Waiting for the flood of unappealing pictures of me eating now, as if enough have not already been posted.
