  1. Bags of Crap are not real! All PTR were taken at a secret location near the same sound stage where the "lunar" landings were filmed. Notice the same props being recycled and appearing in many BOCs. If you also think Bags of Crap are fake e-mail Dan.
  2. Obviously not your quote, but why wouldn't they just roll this out to every single seat of every car, would that be too expensive? I would think the cost would be justified for customer satisfaction, and of course not having to wait longer for a "special car" to come around on top of what the queue already is. But hey, at least larger folks (probably me) don't have to worry about three clicks anymore. I assume "inside" and "outside" positions mean the "end" seats. Is this correct? If so my take is that a large person on an end seat would only have their body rolls encroach into the personal space of one other guest. So it is for guest satisfaction that it is only on particular seats.
  3. Just take the FunHouse/Walktrough category, for example. I love walkthrough attractions, and sample them whenever I can. 3 of the 5 voting choices are in the US: Noah's Ark, Frankstein's Castle and the new Ghost Ship at Morey Piers. The only reason the other two are included is input from people who have traeled to Europe recently. I happened to really enjoy all 3 of these. However, those 3 are probably the only 3 US walkthroughs that could hold a candle to the Top 10-15 Funhouses/Walkthroughs in Europe. Three years ago I don't recall any International selecetion in this category outside of Noah's Ark at Blackpool (which far superior to the Kennywood version). And that doesn't even take into account some awful good ones in Japan.
  4. You also never know the last time someone rode a coaster and if they are basing their Top 10 it on their best ride ever. I haven't ridden Voyage since it has gotten rougher, so it is still a top 10 coaster for me. If a lot of voters are in the same boat as me it could skew Voyage's ranking higher, but #1? Many people must also be voting for Beast based on rides they got 15-20 years ago during night time ERT. That's the only way I can see Beast living where is currently ranks, because Beast used to be great. Nowadays, not so much!
  5. The Power of TPR: Making Dreams Come True
  6. Park Hoppers can be purchased with or without water parks included. Of course, including the water parks costs a little more.
  7. I think the woman is looking for her car keys.
  8. Benny - I enjoy viewing all your posts. Try the brief overview and if people ask for more you can always post more photos.
  9. The best part is those idiots will lose their money real quick with their attitudes towards life.
  10. I really don't pay much attention to these offerings, but I remember it being available on Furius Baco at Port Aventura.
  11. Man I need to get some sleep, I can't distinguish between the number 20 and 20%. So Mitch's Poll actually shows 30% of the Top 50 coasters are outside of the US and according to Golden Tickets it is only 20%. 30% seems like a more accurate number to me. Golden Tickets shows only one International Woodie in the Top 20. Enough said.
  12. I hadn't seen the Top 50 list yet, that does seem a little high as Mitch pools has only 15 woodies in their Top 50. My bad, I phrased my stance incorrectly. The voting options are skewed to US based attractions, at least 80% of the voting options were in the US, sure you can write-ins candidates, but a write-in is unlikely to ever win. So even with international ballots those internationals are not concentrated in any one area where a consensus of the international voters can get behind their home coaster.
  13. ^I think you are forgetting that the respondents are skewed towards those living in the Midwest. They really shouldn't call this farce "International" with it skewed so heavily towards US based attractions and respondents.
  14. Offensive = Good Disrespectful = Bad
  15. OK, I just checked out the park's website and the park has some additional rides with the a Drop Tower and Dark Ride. I anxiously await more pictures.
  16. And for those who wanted to relive previous trips to Octoberfest by TPR members their PTRs are linked in the Park Index. Octoberfest in TPR's Park Index

Remember photos must be .jpg should not exceed 800x600 (Unfortunately, in the past many people have submitted photos that were far too large for TPR to use or in pdf form.) High quality photos, please (not blurry, distorted or out of focus). Lastly, we are not adding kiddie rides or major upcharges at this time, but we are at the point where family rides such: transportation rides, carousels, ferris wheels and bumper cars are being added. We are also not adding FECs (Family Entertainment Centers) to the Park Index. Our current rule of thumb is to include places that have 6 or more adults rides. And if you have to ability to scan your park maps, feel free to submit those for the years that all not already in the Park Index. Of course any PTRs containing superior photos or entertaining captions and a variety of pictures including multiple rides and areas (Not just one or two rides/attractions) are always valued. Attention has been given to every previously submitted Photo TR. Don't feel discouraged if we can't include every one. Photo in your PTRs must be downloaded onto the Theme Park Review server (not Imageshack, photobucket) for it to be included in the Park Index, that way we know a Red X will never appear. Lastly, if you have photos of a non-kiddie ride that is not in TPR's Park Index, please submit that also. The list of what we need is not complete, only based on ride that appear on my personal park maps.
  19. I don't know. The pretzels at the Wurzburg looked a little different. But still another great Cooking with Joe segment.
  20. Are you really going to leave the beer tent for anything besides Olympia Looping?
  21. I'm just a crazy fanboy for the ride. Is this version run with four phases lasting a grand total of 3-4 minutes? That's how it was on versions that I have ridden. Seems like a decent amount of time for the new low price. In order to let people know what the ride is, I believe it was Bakken in Denmark that has a closed caption TV of the current game shown outside the building to those walking by or waiting. Regarding not knowing what to shoot. Aren't you supposed to shoot your horse's number on the screen? (sorry inside joke) The game itself is great. But, there are some things wrong with this version or at least the way it is marketed: 1. I think most of the general public visiting the Boardwalk has no idea what Desperados is. How could the park easily inform guests of what the ride is? Call it a shooting gallery! The park makes no mention of this on any signage. 2. The ride is only fun when a majority of the seats are full. Gives a much better feeling of competition. Due to the [un]popularity of the ride, this rarely happens. 3. Guests sitting in the front row have a great advantage over guests sitting in the back. 4. The shooting mechanics could use a little work. First time guests will probably have a hard time realizing where they are shooting. 5. edit: I almost forgot. The ride is way too short.
  22. For those that still want to ride Blue Streak this year, the park will be open September 18th and 19th for an Octoberfest event. $7 ride wristband will not include Blue Streak. Tickets for Blue Streak will again be $3 per ride.
  23. Erik - you are such an inspiration as I picked up the third Grover credit on Monday at BGT.
  24. This week's epsiode about to start. Still laughing about "The Situation" hooking up with a tranny last week.
