Some of my pet peeves from a ride op standpoint are people who leave their arms on the Racer's buzz bars when I'm trying to check them, and people who place their purses and fanny packs over their seat belts when I'm trying to check those. Arggh! So annoying!!

What's wrong with PR's weird lapbars?

A lot of people ask what will happen if they're too scared to pull the ripcord on the Skycoaster, so we tell them. It's amazing how much courage people gain when they hear the words, "no refund".

Although the ride looks good, I must say, I absolutely hate the name and theme. Let me get this straight, Cedar Fair: You're building a gigacoaster, and the best you can do is NASCAR? I'm not digging the OTSR's, either.

You know, operating the Racer isn't nearly as fun as riding it. It's still a million times better than working at Walmart, though.

I thought Kennywood didn't renew it's Garfield license? Wouldn't that mean they have to re-theme Old Mill eventually? Unless they pay a royalty fee for using Garfield, I guess. They didn't renew their license, so I'm pretty sure they're going to retheme it sometime in the near future. BTW, I'm working at the Skycoaster and Racer. If you see me, say "hi".

^^RCDB lists the Jackrabbit as the only coaster with a double dip, which means the Phoenix doesn't have one. You wouldn't dare doubt RCDB, would you? On a more serious note, if Kennywood's flying coaster isn't the last of it's kind, then where is the other one?

Then I wouldn't have seen you. I was getting interviewed for PFN around that time- I didn't go into the park until around 6:30. I did meet some coaster enthusiasts on the last ride of the night on the Phantom, though. I thought you might have had something to do with them. I guess not.

I was at Kennywood again today. They really are moving along with construction, the turnpike has only been closed for two days and they already have most of the center rail disassembled. In other news, Kennywood hired me!

Faucet washer? Seriously, I have no idea.

I couldn't care less about King Kahuna, but I was hoping they would bring back Swing Around. Oh well, look on the bright side: WE'RE GETTING A NEW COASTER!

On another note, someone at Kennywood Connection received confirmation from the park that they will fix the top of the second hill on the Phantom for next year.

I'm really glad my home park is getting a new coaster, they were long overdue for one. I like the concept, it should be an interesting and unique ride.

I'm going to Kennywood tomorrow, hopefully I can see them announce this thing in person. I'm so excited! On another note, from what I've heard (which is precious little), the ride will not be utilizing the ravine next to the Jackrabbit and Racer, so don't get your hopes up.
