I liked Maverick a lot more than TTD. TTD is simply a gimmick, the only thrilling part is the launch; after that it's just up and then back down. Maverick actually has some meat to it in the form of weird elements and some good airtime, not to mention a moderately thrilling launch.

Occasionally I'll have a nightmare where I'm riding a roller coaster and then suddenly my restraint will unlock - you can figure out the rest.

I'd say it's a coaster, although it doesn't look like it embodies the spirit of one.

That's a fairly large foot print for a roller coaster. It will be interesting see how this flying coaster turns out. Hopefully good. That red B&M track that recently appeared outside Clermont Steel Fabricators better not be for this, other wise it will be perhaps the worst color scheme/theme clash in the history of roller coasters.

What we're doing to animals is wrong? What about what animals do to other animals? Does the antelope deserve to be killed by the lion? Do mice want to be caught and killed by cats? If it is wrong for us to exploit animals then doesn't it make it wrong for other animals to exploit their fellow creatures? Aren't we ourselves, Homo sapiens, a species of animal? What I'm getting at here is that just as the lion exploits other animals for food, so do we. It just so happens that we can exploit on a massive scale thanks to technology. What you need to remember is that nature is one cruel b*tch, who care nothing for the well being and rights of animals. So from nature's standpoint, what we do to animals is just business as usual. Now I have nothing against veganism or vegetarianism, but if your one of them because you argue that it isn't natural to exploit animals, then you are sadly mistaken in my opinion. Just be aware that veganism/ vegetarianism is unnatural in humans.(In a way that makes being a vegan/vegetarian an exercise in separating yourself from the cruelty of nature). BTW, I'm not a vegan or vegetarian. Well, I am someone that believes that humans don't necessarily need to eat meat to be healthy, and I think that I'm an example of that, along with a very long line of vegetarians who have lived long and healthy lives. I don't have a problem at all with the way carnivorous animals do their business. There are a lot of animals that stalk, and prey on other animals. It is not in them to pick an apple from a tree - they have talons, or claws, or sharp teeth for a reason. And there is research out there that suggests that maybe humans aren't necessarily designed to eat meat, and other believe that we are omnivorous - it all really comes down to opinion which is why I kind of take your comment about veganism as being unnatural as kind of offensive. I just don't think that, as thinking and supposedly compassionate beings, we need to treat animals poorly. Sure, kill them and eat them if you would like. At some point in our existence we started to eat animals and haven't stopped. But is there a need to club them for not reason, or torture and poke them just for fun? Or yell at them while they are already scared enough in the pen? If you want to eat meat, then fine. And if you want to slaughter an animal on a farm for profit, then fine. I just can't see how someone can advocate the blatant mistreatment of another living thing. I wasn't saying we should treat animals poorly, I myself am entirely against harming animals for no reason. I apologize if you found my "unnatural" comment offensive, I will admit it is possible to live on vegetables and fruits alone, however, it requires careful monitoring of your diet and in some cases dietary supplements, since all nine essential amino acids cannot be obtained from most plants, unlike meat, which easily meets the requirements for all nine of them. Actually, it is possible to survive on meat almost entirely and remain healthy (just like it is possible to eat only vegetables and fruits and remain healthy), granted of course that you live an active lifestyle, just ask the Inuits.

If you spend an hour searching for the name of the plant in Ohio that makes B&M track. (yes, I did just that, and I found it! It's Clermont Steel Fabricators, LLC.)

After some intense searching, I found the name of the company that makes B&M track. It's Clermont Steel Fabricators, LLC. You can even see their name's abbreviation, CSF, in one of the pictures. Their steel fabrication plant (the one in the pictures) is in Batavia, Ohio. BTW, I think it's Dive Machine track.

I noticed there's a gap between the track on the ferris wheel lift and the main track. How is that supposed to work? Is the ferris wheel track going to slide forward and the two tracks fit together, or is it just improperly aligned at the moment? See? upper right hand corner. There's a gap.

Sounds like a good ride. If I ever make it down to Myrtle Beach (yeah, right), I'll have to check this out. I have yet to ride a roller coaster with an on board sound system. BTW, Johnny Upsidedown said that the ride is of medium intensity. When was the last time B&M made a roller coaster that's truly intense? I'm curious.

It's nice to see a resurgence in these old-style thrill rides. I know Kennywood had a flyer for a little while back in the 90's until they replaced it with the Pitt Fall.
