Dude, that was the first airport that I have chosen to carry my bags rather than roll them because I was concerned about what may have been growing on those floors... Well here is update number dos. AKA DAWN OF THE WACKY WORMS The second day of the trip would bring us to real coaster riding with 4 parks across Rome. The day started with breakfast than meeting up in the lobby to get into the convoy again and make hast for the beach to try and beat the crowds that would soon descend on the area. We started by taking the scenic route and found out that when in italy you dump your trash along the roads... so we turned it into a game and tried to find everything you would need to build a house. Well we found everything but the kitchen sink . Finally we arrived at the first park of the day and the first "Real" park of the trip Zoomarine! I did some mild research before the trip but still wasn't sure what to expect. The park was very clean and well taken care of and featured a waterpark, wildlife park and an amusement park all combine and was small but felt very spread out. The two coasters are Vertigo (Don't worry this one didn't fall over....yet) a schwarzkopf and Squalotto a wacky worm. We made our way to Vertigo first but found out it didn't open till later so one of our drivers started to negotiate with the employees as we went back and got our wacky worm credit before being told to head back to vertigo. Robb than talked to the park owner and he ended up opening it exclusively for us to get a ride or two! It was smooth and fun just like any other schwarzkopf. We than had a little time to explore the park so we all spread out. A group of us made our way to hit a few flat rides and than we braved their Dinosaur walk through. It was really weird and it didn't help none of us know italian to listen to the employee who randomly stops and talks to everyone about what they are seeing. It was dark and had some props and animatronics including one that decided to assault a member of our group while the rest of us we able to duck the large tail coming at us from the darkness however one was not so lucky... but he lived and we made our way to meet with the group to depart. I highly recommend a visit to Zoomarine if you are ever in the area. Next up was Fantasiland which was just a block away.. however when we showed up the park was locked up. Robb was able to find an employee and try to bribe them to open the coaster for us. Well after a few minutes and a price of 3 chickens a goat and two women they agreed to open the coaster for us. We drove into the park and were lead to the coaster where they just pulled the tarps off and started loading people. Luckily we all survived. We than left and made our way back towards Rome for our next park Oasi Park. Not sure what to say about this place but it just seemed like they tried to fit in any IP they could find and didn't care how it mixed. The park however was very clean and well kept and seemed like the perfect park for kids. Well we rode their Mini Mouse and posse for a group photo before leaving for our last park. Eden Park was the last park of the day. It was another very small park aimed at children.... however this one had a bar and a casino! We were here for the coaster however... Brucomela which is another wacky worm. Got the credit than left to head back to the hotel it was once again another great day and alot of fun! But now it's time for pics! I spy a schwarzkopf! We have arrived! Who needs a giant fire extinguisher? Hi Nolan Zoomarine enterance Passing by for now... Vertigo! It was testing so we left Time to over take the wacky worm! We then returned to Vertigo for our exclusive rides! On the way to the dino walkthrough they had this walk around character This was infront of it. Mhm... this looks familar but I can't quite put my finger on it... We than left for our next stop... Disneylannnn... Oh wait? The coaster Some of the park Lining up Kinda creepy Incase you forgot where we were. Thats it for Fantasiland Next up Oasi Park! We got to park inside the park Perfect! Get on this train to see... ... the Seven Drawfs meet the Smurfs Creepy What we are here for. Merlin says thats all for Oasi Driving past the Aqueducts Were here! Nice little park RUB MY BELLY Whats this? Ah Thats all for this one! -
I'm assuming the Tumble Bug will be the one from Whalom? I thought I heard someone bought it but didn't do anything with it. The only other one I can think of is Chippewa's but that one is lost. Glad he plans to do more but I wish them the best of luck with the Bug if they do get it because I have seen how much work is required to keep them operating since parts are really hard to come by.

My venture from Pennsylvannia all the way to Rome was uneventful.... did learn something though, never eat airline food EVER! I got to Rome early in the morning and breezed through immigration and customs with just a quick glace given to my passport (obviously vastly different than I would experience when I was returning home). After dodging the line of taxi drivers and getting some toiletries I made my way to the airport shuttle to the hotel to meet with TPR. Trevi Fountain Pantheon Spanish Steps (Quick drive by) Gelato stop!!! Piazza del Campidoglio Colosseum Vatican And of course a credit whoring stop at Parco Morelli! (Thanks Robb and Elissa for squeezing it in) And now onto the photos... Day 2 will be up in a few days My Plane This was my view for 8 hours.... Finally in Rome my first stop was the Asylum... Er, I mean Immigration After meeting the group it was off into the city to look at some ruins and other things The shop even had the 100% real Mona Lisa... its censored version is in Paris. Next we ended up in Piazza Navona Oh theres a butt.... Random statue Next we ended up here... The Pantheon! This was infront of it Yeah we see you dude... Once inside it was really a beautiful building I knew this very well from Assassins Creed Next up Trevi Fountain It was VERY crowded Trying to be "Artsy" This made me LOL Spanish Steps We will get to you later Random ruins I spy our next destionation! The Colosseum! Arc infront Back to what I was looking forward to most in Rome Lets go inside Moving on now The Vatican was our next stop Quick stop at an overview of Rome before our last stop Some quick credit whoring Never seen a kiddie mechanical bull before The park was very small but nice. We made a quick stop before departing back to the hotel. Day 2 will be up soon.

Favorite Standalone Haunts?
kidcoaster 2 replied to Stephen G's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Even though pretty much every park haunt is now over you still have a chance to visit the standalone haunts. Most will be open tommorow (Wednesday) for Halloween and this weekend.
