  1. I remember when we all thought Goliath's addition spelled the end of Flashback. Oh times have changed.
  2. My best guess would be like a Ferris wheel but we will see.
  3. Plus Platinum Pass owners can buy the FastLane Plus for the cost of a regular FastLane at the park, which is a $50 savings.
  4. If Steel Vengeance's queue is even half of what it was last year then you'll save a boatload of time there. Fortunately I've never heard of a Cedar Fair park selling out of FastLane so you can make a judgment call on the day you get there.
  5. Maybe it has gotten faster, but it definitely wasn't as forceless as I expected. The airtime and Gs combined with the theming made it a standout.
  6. ^ If it's like Shambhala, some enthusiasts may pick it over Skyrush as well.
  7. Thanks! I'd argue OzIris is already a signature coaster and Zeus has the potential to be one, but that Intamin monster in 2021 looks like a candidate for one of the world's best coasters. Maybe retracked might be the wrong word, but they did a LOT of work which involved putting scaffolding up on most of the inversions, cutting sections of track out, replacing crossties and the running rails etc. But honestly, it wasn't quite as bad as what people said. Hilltopper, if you fly to Paris CDG, it's a super-simple journey from the airport - there's a shuttle bus, but also you can get an Uber and it's only about 20 minutes maybe. Whatever Asterix did made the coaster enjoyable for me. I never thought I'd ride it multiple times going into my visit.
  8. If you have a SeaWorld Platinum Pass, you'll pass right by Sesame Place. Oscar's Wacky Taxi is a legitimately great coaster.
  9. It's a weird name for sure, but it is unique and I could care less what it's called as long as it's a great coaster.
  10. Thanks! I agree the operations were excellent. Stacking was really uncommon and they usually had the train dispatching before the next hit the brakes. I know CGA's Grizzly is another coaster enthusiasts love to hate. But by all accounts, that ride isn't rough, just uneventful. Ok so Goudurix was retracked then? I had a suspicion it wasn't the same ride everyone despised.
  11. ^ Ah ok. I'm going off QueueTimes and it shows a wait time for yesterday.
  12. Great shots! I need to get to Hong Kong Disneyland someday.
  13. It looks like they got Steel Vengeance open late yesterday afternoon.
  14. Great report! Considering how compact these Sky Rocket II's are, I have no qualms if they're cloned like boomerangs. They're really fun rides.
  15. Great report! I remember seeing all the rides there during my early April visit without all the landscaping/theming. The final area looks great! I think the news woman may be George W. Bush's daughter on the Today Show.
  16. Some notes from today, the park's second weekend. Boulder Dash is running really well for it being so early in the season. My gauge is usually if the boulder hill has air and it had it in droves today. Phobia, Thunder Rapids (not surprised on this one), Saw Mill Plunge, and Revolution are closed. Down Time now has a second seatbelt on all seats. I've heard SFNE's S&S tower now has the same. They were a pain to insert and remove since there wasn't a lot of clearance with the arm rests. Also I could see the Sky Ride had been demolished (at least the station and first tower) from the far turnaround of Boulder Dash. RIP.
  17. This is why I don't travel long distances for parks on opening day. But at least Cedar Point still has like a dozen other coasters to enjoy.
  18. Out of curiosity when Steel Vengeance does valley, where does it tend to happen? The turn over the station?
  19. ^ If they added another slide over there too, the separation between the rest of the water park wouldn't be as pronounced.
  20. You know what happens when you assume I could be wrong but I definitely have a theory based on some stories I’ve heard about dropping empties from the middourse on cold days. I’m sure they block checked it but they probably block checked it with water dummies. I saw two posts on other sites saying Steel Vengeance valleyed when they resumed testing.
  21. I care more that it's an awesome ride. If it's just a few feet short of 300 feet, it'll essentially feel the same. Just look at Expedition GeForce. Technically it isn't a hyper, but it sure feels like one.
  22. ^ I'd totally try it too, but I'd expect something on the level of a vintage SLC.
