  1. ^Never apologize for the greatness that is El Toro...I could sit and watch that avatar all day.
  2. ^No. Vidoe renderings can be inaccurate all the time. Thinks get lost in translation between marketing and project development...not that there's that strong of a bond there to begin with.
  3. ^Freeing the train from a parallel-to-ground position I could see requiring a wench, but I don't think that the top of a 415 would reqire that as gravity is on your side.
  4. The paint on Superman looks alot better than what I expected. I'm wondering if we're going to see any yellow trim as we do most Superman themed rides.
  5. ^I'm sensing that your Sarcasm meter may be on the fritz.
  6. If it's a floorless Dive Machine, I wonder how many people are gonna think they moved Sream!...
  7. Jamiroquai rocks. Enough said.
  8. In either case...with all the rumors floating around, 2012 might be a banner year for Southern Californian theme parks. Maybe not so much for the Northern ones though...
  9. ^^^That's not a fair analysis of the park's lineup. You over generalized everything. Becase Superman is still there doesn't mean another type of launch coaster can be added and still be diverse (Impulse, Rocket, Blitz) However a Dive Machine specializes in that ONE thing, and there are at the moment THREE rides that do the ONE thing that a Diving machine does. And to add to that, you get more than just a drop on X and Deja Vu. Yes, adding one will have marketability value, but I suspect taht if one is added, the reride value will deminish after time.
  10. ^They could just rename it "Survival", and keep most of the same theming.
  11. ^I'm going to assume it would have the same appeal as a ball coaster would have in a park with a 4D coaster.
  12. ^I rode Griffon for the first time this summer and I thought it was a pretty good ride. Didn't expect much out of it, but it was pretty good. Of course I'd take an airtime machine over it, but beggars can't be choosers.
  13. ^Rumors of what the park is getting, or rumors that will all be wiped out?
  14. ^Green Lantern will be...something. I'm curious to see what happens with that.
  15. I could totally see the park adding a giga at some point, so long as they've been saving enough pennies in the piggy bank for one...
  16. GASM wasn't that bad. I don't know what was up with the turn into the MCBR, I think Ron Toomer had a twich in his arm when he drew it up... Sad to see it go...but at least Viper will live that much longer!
  17. ^The one thing I'd like to point out about Viper that many forget, is it underwent alot of modifications in the development stages since its two older sisters weren't "quite right". Viper is one of the better Arrow loopers still around, and I wouldn't mind it staying for another 10 years or so.
  18. What's this buzz I here about a possible Back to the Future videogame I'm hearing???
  19. Well played Mr. James, well played. It seems he pulled a page out of the Kanye West playbook of "when you f*ck up, find some way to blame it on someone else. Truth of the matter is, I never really cared for Lebron. I bleed purple and gold, so I didn't really care where he went. However, he ties up every sports media outlet, keeps the entire sports world in suspense, and makes the sun sut on his @$$....and he only takes SOME of the blame? SOME? "Well I raised 3 million dollars for the Boys & Girls club". You make $20 million a year from the NBA and you have a $90 million contract with Nike. $3 million is like breakfast to you. You could've given $3 million to the boys & girls club and wrote it off. But there's to much sincereity and honor in that. No sir, YOU have to be a douche.
  20. ^Good point. Let's all pray project 18 isn't REMOVING something.
  21. God, I hope so. I'm just not a big fan of "Save the Superman" effort with reversing the cars, pretty much solidifying it staying. (I was really hoping to see Kingda Ka cloned out here some day) But if there is anything planned for 2012, I'm fine with what the park is getting in 2011. The rollerskater helps round out the coaster collection which of right now is tilted towards the extreme side, the Superman revamp helps bring life to an old and lackluster ride, and there are still some parks that haven't announced receiving anything for next year. I hope this works out well for the park. Although I personally hope that something big comes in 2012. There's going to be ALOT of competition in '12.
  22. ^Your last claim I can agree with, in regards that Six Flags America is not a powerhouse in the chain. However, expecting people to come to a park with nothing enticing them to is absurd. The catch-22 with this park is that two other parks within driving distance that offer a more thrilling product, and to steal some of that thunder is going to take a big product. And if Six Flags is not going to even try to compete with the local market, even though they clearly do with MM and Gadv, says they neglect the park. Thomas Town was a good addition, but that's not what they needed. They needed a new coaster 5 years ago, and it never came. And from the looks of it it won't.
  23. It does remind me a bit of Zonga.
