  1. ^From Knott's it's no big deal...It's $1.50 each way and the trip from Knott's to Disney is about 15-20 mins. If you go to the trip planner on Metro's website it's going to suggest you buy a daypass for 6 bucks. DON'T. You'll get from Knott's and back with $3. That way you wouldn't have to worry about parking for two parks. EDIT: I misread your post, and you're planning a one-way trip. Yea dude it's pretty easy. Catch the bus instead of drive.
  2. I downloaded the whole Back to the Future animated series. It's pretty cool so far
  3. I don't see a TOTAL retheme of this ride, but I can see them going a different route with the Superman story. Unless of course a Ride Of Steel is in the park's future, then I say rip the theme off of it....and do it now!
  4. Seems like more this year is going into Fright Fest as previous years, and I'm all for it. I'd love to see the park be a huge contender for the Halloween market and if they keep at this pace and grow the event, it could be done in this decade.
  5. My guess would be new trains. If you have to add OSTR's, the seats would need to be further apart, which would call for wider trains. With the effort and resources going into modifying the existing train, it would be more practical to replace it. Also, as far as the theme goes, I'm a pretty big comic buff. If S:TE isn't getting a Bizarro overhaul, calling it Superman/Doomsday would be pretty cool and could lead to all kinds of storylines. It could link the backward train replacing the old one...Just a thought.
  6. So I guess with the money going into Superman, my hopes of seeing an Intamin rocket in the near future are getting that much dimmer...I hope this works out for the park.
  7. Quoted for personal experience.
  8. ^To further what your originally said, I've never been an advocate of higher-ups using cell phones whule operating rides. If your making rounds in the park its fine, but if you are in rotation at a ride, I feel you should adhere to the same safety guidelines as the operators. I don't care what position the employee holds in the company. If their in operating a ride they should not be on a handheld device, doing paperwork, or anything else that splits their attention.
  9. ^You know what, I judged Divers before I rode them...I rode Griffon this past summer and thought it was really cool. It'd be nice to see MM get one.
  10. Seems really cool. It surprises me that Six Flags went with something other than B&M or Intamin. They're taking a big step to help diversify they Beemer heavy lineup of coasters.
  11. ^^You're right. One person can't change a park. One thing I think get's really overlooked is the fact that the park president has vey little to do with day-to-day front line operations. If you want the infrastructure to change significantly, you'd have to change a lot more than just who signs the parks orders.
  12. I hate being politically correct. Especially in the workplace. I'm tired of reps at the job lying to me in the face because of poor ethics but strong political correctness.
  13. I majored in English...I'm starting to realize that toilet paper has more of a use than my degree does...
  14. ^If you're reffering to Windseeker, i doubt it. Nothing physically visable has begun yet.
  15. FYI...Most major coasters have breakrooms under the station or closeby. Goliath, X, Scream, Riddler's, & Tatsu all have breakrooms under the station. Ninja & Tidal Wave have them extremely close by.
  16. ^Maybe if you added an aquatrax to it...
  17. ^^I was not aware only one of Chang's Trains made the transit. Thanks for clearing that up.
  18. I think you'll see DEconstruction before anything at CGA...
  19. True, but for a park that operates on more of a year-round schedule than Great Adventure, it was an advantage to have one being serviced while keep two available. GAdv could sevice both trains four to five months out of the year. We don't have that advantage.
  20. ^That song is awesome. Triumph is an album of Mike singing like Mike in his prime... I'm listening to Foxey Lady-Jimi Hendrix
  21. NO. I LET ALL CAPS AND italics SHOW MY EMOTIONS THROUGH TEXT! Have you ever dated someone from work?
  22. So...did Magic Mountain really send one of Riddler's trains to Great Adventure? Stinks if they did....
