  1. I must say I'm surprised to read you would be using a "Flashpass". I had thought by all your postings in here you are a seasoned SFMM person and would not need to use these as you have done it all. Yesterday (Labor Day Mon) didn't seem that busy and most of my party did all they chose to with little effort. Keep up the great postings. The Flashpass certainly wasn't entirely necessary yesterday, but since I have severe rheumatoid arthritis it is worth it to me even if the wait saved is 10-20 minutes. Oddly enough, I'm far better off walking than I am just standing still.
  2. How, exactly, is Flashpass supposed to work on Riddlers? We showed up at the merge spot at the base of the stairs and there was no Flashpass attendant to check us in. We proceeded up the narrow stair path on the far right only to find that led to a packed station with no clear merge spot there either. Still no Flashpass checker... After waiting about 10 minutes and moving a total of maybe 2 feet it was pretty evident that the wait was going to be far more than we were willing to wait for a coaster we've ridden plenty of times before. We bailed out and went to ride other coasters that were running with better operations. Other than that, the park was operating pretty well today.
  3. Superman: Escape From Krypton about an hour ago.
  4. Silver Bullet at Knott's a few hours ago. It was running very well.
  5. How do you think the crowds will be this coming Sunday? The current plan is KBF on Sunday and SFMM on Monday unless someone gives me a good reason why I ought to swap the days. Thanks in advance.
  6. After seeing how abruptly this thing ends after the top hat I'm thinking that their 2014 addition can be the rest of the ride.
  7. So they're basically saying it's going to suck?
  8. A few of those chicks were entirely too hot for a Star Wars convention.
  9. It looks like it should be a really fun ride. I'm just glad to see the park get a substantial addition. Especially when considering that I had this park dead and buried not all that long ago. I'm glad I was wrong.
  10. Maybe they just bought the slingshot so they could mount it horizontally and launch coaster trains with it. (I'm joking)
  11. Knott's agrees with you. Perhaps you should read the current description of this very topic.
  12. There is Mr. Bebe and Lady Bebe, together they are "The Bebes". Individually, each is a Bebe.
  13. 16/30 because I just don't know or care about overseas stuff all that much.
  14. Whether this deal makes it or not, and I'm leaning heavily toward not, the amusement park portion of this proposal seems to be a relatively small part of the overall plan anyway. The newspaper and television news articles included the name "Disneyland" and many seem to have run with it from there, when this had about as much in common with the Disneyland Resort as Walmart does with Neiman Marcus. This will either blow away like a fart in the wind, or end up being something along the lines of what the Nut Tree in Vacaville once was. Not surprisingly, the Nut Tree's semi-recent revitalization project, which included a small amusement park with a junior coaster, wasn't met with much success. The park has since closed and I honestly can't comment on the rest of what comprises the Nut Tree because I never stop there. It's in the middle of nowhere. Sounds like a familiar theme here.
  15. A theme park fairly close to Stockton... The only appropriate name that comes to mind is: Methworld
  16. I'm somewhat relieved to find out that I'm not the only one who expected to find an Inspector Gadget theme on that ride. Thank you for all the photos. They are some of the best I've seen of the new changes.
  17. I wonder if this James Rogers guy is the half brother of Danny Rogers? You know, the clown who kept trying to revive (cough - bilk investors - cough) SFNO?
  18. To think of the power that cable has wielded... Yet it looks rather limp and unintimidating now.
  19. My guess is that Magic Mountain has contracted Knoebel's to build them a Flying Turns coaster. They haven't yet announced an opening date because, well, you know why.
  20. You're not. I'll be looking forward to beIng able to watch an NFL game in a stadium that isn't ready to crumble to the ground.
  21. I rode it once only because it had just reopened and had a short line. It wasn't anything special. I won't miss it.
  22. The extended cut Of Tuesday Afternoon followed by Evening Time To Get Away - The Moody Blues. They just don't make music like this anymore.
