  1. Or just buy a gold Flash Pass and ride whatever you want, whenever you want, and get reserved seating for the shows as well. Flash Pass is a bargain if you think of it in terms of you time being worth something to you. If your time isn't valuable to you, then by all means stand in line.
  2. The lawnmower tree grew up around, and basically consumed, an old push-type reel lawnmower that was leaned up against it. What remains of the mower can be seen near the base of the tree. Thanks for the latest installment of the TR.
  3. The A C E day at SFMM earlier this year was probably the worst day I've had at a park. Even so, we got 3 rides on Batman, and 1 on Colossus, so it wasn't a complete waste, but damn close. It wasn't the park's, or the organizers' fault. It was just particularly bad weather. It happens. You deal with it and move on.
  4. We can't forget these beauties, courtesy of TPR member flipdude:
  5. Xcelerator's unsupported top hat gets my vote. It looks freaking awesome.
  6. I don't know for certain, but it appeared as if one of the horizontal supports had to be modified. That may account for the primer on the ends of it. I've often wondered just how much leeway is designed into the support structures of coasters and how much flex can be coaxed out the neighboring supports to accomodate one that doesn't fit just perfectly. Even in this day and age of computer designed parts and tight tolerances it still amazes me that these coasters fit together as well as they do.
  7. ^ Who complained? All I saw were statements of facts.
  8. Grizzly is not at all friendly to larger riders. The position the lapbars had to be in to allow dispatch seemed very nearly where they are shown with the seatbelt fastened. I'm 6',2", about 250 lbs with a belly and I just fit on it.
  9. This is what I thought of when I saw the "Loaded Dogs" sign.
  10. Does a learner's permit allow you to drive on the freeway? It didn't back when I had mine, but that was LONG time ago. Nevermind, it's MOTORCYCLE permit that doesn't allow you to go on the freeway. See? I told you I was old. I forget nearly everything these days. Have a safe trip.
  11. How is "Hamster Coaster profane? Did you mean profound in a sarcastic way?
  12. Why are there even options besides Disney?
  13. "Suck it, Prudential", with a great big flashing neon sign pointed towards Prudential's building would be sweet.
  14. Yo mama's so stupid she put lipstick on her forehead because she wanted to makeup her mind.
  15. What if I was being seriously sarcastic?
  16. Am I missing something on that one?
  17. Everything is now a Frog Hopper compared to this. Can't wait to ride it, over and over.
  18. It seems a shame that the park has fallen into such disrepair. It's very cool that you got to check it out up close though. Vertigorama and Aconcagua look like they could still be made operational with some TLC.
  19. This is the best update so far. Looking forward to riding this very soon.
  20. Haha! I love this. I would imagine an equation related to the feasibility of this project would look something like this: Fail+Fail/Feasibility=Epic Fail
  21. I'm okay with the Full Throttle name. I really do hope, as the name would seem to imply, it will be a launched, or preferably multiple launch coaster.
  22. I was kidding. I guess I should have used a smiley. On another note, please tell me that pulley set up and its supports on top of the tower are for construction and pull-through testing purposes only.
  23. What's an OSTR? I know what OTSRs are, but the OSTR acronym is escaping me.
  24. Those pictures of you with the lions and tigers are awesome, especially the one where you are kissing the lion. Even though I realize it is, for the most part, relatively safe, I would still be very apprehensive about being within paws and jaws reach of such powerful animals. I applaud your courage for getting those pictures and thank you for sharing them with us.
