  1. If they do come up with a trackless ride system for Frozen, I am curious if they have figured out how to move the vehicles up and down hills, etc? Like Alice in Wonderland at DL, does on it's track? Or does it always have to be a flat floor for the ride system to work? So far, all four trackless rides Disney has done, are on a flat 'floor' surface. Maybe an elevator system could be used, like in Transformers at USO, as well. Just curious about that.
  2. Nessie - Hansa Park
  3. True! (how ever did you guess?) The person below, loves chocloate.
  4. I hope that if they are indeed, redoing the ride system for the new Frozen attraction, they don't use the omnimover. But if they do use it, it would be nice if they spaced the 'pods' a bit farther apart? Or use the system in a new way, if there can be one.
  5. When I saw the change in colours for the tracks, I knew that was A First for the park and the company. And I like the colour combination! Can't wait to see it all come together in real life.
  6. This seems to me to be the third* version of three Disney parks, that had/have initial startup problems, and continued to slide in profits, until lately. WDS is adding a new attraction every three years or so, which is certainly picking up from where they began, in 2002. DCA,we all know what it started out as, and went through in it's successful re-vamp. Hong Kong Disneyland started out wither fewer attractions than the orginal Disneyland (!), but now it's picked up, and is slowly getting to where it really is a full day park. *And as an Extra Bonus, cleanup and total refurb of Disneyland Paris. Because it needs it.
  7. Partially this, but let's face it. The attraction will be based on the movie, and references to Norway will be there ( or not?), but as background to the back story for the attraction. EDIT to add: For myself, it would be awesome if they created an entirely new track layout, dry and/or wet, for this attraction, now. One can hope a little.
  8. Totally agree on this. And if they could pull it off in a faster amount of time than usual, everybody would be surprised when they re-visited the parks, social media all about it, and then the crowds came back. Just a thought on it.
  9. ~ Pilotti ~ Linnanmaki Park also had another coaster recently opened, but there was (and will be) discussion over whether this is an actual coaster, or not. For myself, I didn't care which way the talk went. I just thought that the whole thing was an inverted power coaster, while others likened it to a ride system like Peter Pan (overhead guide rail, etc.). No matter. A good bunch of us went on it, and man - was - it - slow! It made the "shamefulness" of riding it (it was in the childrens' rides area) all the more lingering, lol. Here's some shots of it, and of a few who rode it. Tsk tsk tsk... ERT was ending soon, and the park was about to open. So I started heading back to Pilotti, for a ride. Also new for us, a drop tower in the park. AJ and Lauren get ready to rise and fall. All planes lined up, ready to fly. I liked this one. Here it is. Boarding Platform. A selfie taken right at the entrance! No shame, here. My eyesight must be going. That appears to say "Muscatel". Wine, anyone? A pair of locals, wondering what the heck is going on around this coaster. Some of our group to the right of the pair. Not everybody rode Pilotti, but everybody stuck around to see it run, and who was going to ride it. I think Karl is telling us, "Steve wanted to ride it". It's okay Keith, I feel your shame. And who's that hiding behind the post there? The Aussies apparently had no shame whatsoever. Same for these two. Everybody is happy now, and so are the locals.
  10. RIP Paul Revere (of the band Raul Revere & The Raiders)

  14. Since when does almond bark have raisins in it?
  15. Spinner - Skara Sommarland, Sweden
  16. ^ LOL on Exile Island. But..Last decades of my life have just not included cruise travel of any kind. Except for two recent occasions, overnight cruises as they were, on the TPR Scandi Tours, 2009 and 2014.
  17. It's too bad somebody hasn't figured out the (obvious) way to have a coaster in Alaska and/or Hawaii, etc? Enclose it and heat it or a/c, accordingly. Easy! Then PR the heck out of it, LOL! By the by, I've never been to any part of Alaska - thanks for sharing your trip, guys.
  18. ^^ Hidden Tomato Mickey! Well, you at least got to try the morning offering, and compare the two. A spicy chicken sounds way more interesting than an omelette, anyway. ^ And Disney does try to be on the cutting edge of technology when it comes to doing anything, be it an attraction or a show. So I figure they could figure out a new and different way of presenting fireworks, even if it means dividing the focal point (over the castle) to other spots around and beyond the park's berm.
  19. Our sound system has been pretty crappy, up to this point in time. Now we have direct connection into the television system, for some really awesome playback for CDs etc. So I am finally starting to "catch up" with the past 2013-2014 Broadway season's offerings in cd format. And I start with FIRST DATE, a great musical, (so I read) that didn't hold on, well past the TONY Awards Nominations deadline. Awwwwww...... Here we go. And there's Chuck! (o:
  20. Playland (at the PNE) has this awful seasonal schedule that ends (weekends at this time) at the end of September. And then Fright Nights takes over till end of October, at least. And then it's all shut down until next late spring. And life goes on.... And until we get our brand new flat ride next spring (XXL), anything is possible! So for the answer, no coastering until at least mid-April, unless I do a coaster tour which takes me overseas and/or to another coaster realm entirely. Then, every thing changes, hmm? So, at least......8 months between riding the same coaster, between seasons.
  21. Well, once we find out what type of coaster it is, then the rest shall follow.... EDIT to add: It will be awesome no matter what they want it to be. And it's a third credit for myself, if it all turns out right on Sept.21st. EDIT to add: This will NOT be a credit when I visit. Heck, it won't even be finished and open yet!
