Better Theming or More Track

Amen to that! -

Best region of U.S. coaster wise?

^ I second that opinion. -

If you learned just one thing from this thread...it should be that you need to rent a car. Seriously, don't even try to navigate the LA Area by taxi, bus, and/or light rail...they are just horrible. I'm not even going to mention walking. -
SFNO/Jazzland Discussion Thread

What is this going to accomplish? IMO, this is just New Orleans trying to gain some easy money. And SF doesn't even have that much money left... Seems like a stupid thing to do, really. They should focus on the Lower 9th Ward first. -
The very first time I rode Magnum, it was on the third seat of the front car-or the "magic seat" as people call it. I didn't know it was the "magic seat" when I rode it...just picked it by accident. I was COMPLETELY unprepared for the out-of-your-seat airtime that followed. My point: Magnum is brutally awesome. Ejector Airtime FTW!

The terrain, coupled with the trees, would make a track replacement pretty much impossible. -

It's not the designer's fault. The parks often see the need to spend less on maintenance than what the designers originally intend, so they add trims. -

Yeah, and EF has definitely held up better than The Bat. But there's no arguing the point that EF puts the track through some tremendous beatings. -
That is kinda worrisome whichever way it goes. If it's an audition, then I agree that FMP needs to step up their game, and if it's a rehearsal, let's hope she gets better and the show can start as planned. Personally, I don't see FMP lasting more than a few months, at best. My high school ASB does a better job promoting things.

I don't think an access road would even be able to be built. Eagle Fortress is pretty much built straddling a cliff. Think SFFT's cliffs with trees, and you have a rough idea of the insane terrain EF sits on. -

Yeah...BBW's final drop was heavily trimmed either shortly before or shortly after its opening. -

Boulder Dash is nothing compared to Eagle Fortress. Compared to EF, Boulder Dash sits in a parking lot. -

Should we start a letter-writing campaign? "Save Eagle Fortress"? Seriously, the #2 coaster in the world shouldn't be scrapped! Why can't we save it? ACE did a similar thing with Leap the Dips, so it stands to reason why the coaster community can't pitch in here as well. -

Bad idea. Public transportation in OC is practically nonexistent. Please please reconsider and rent a car! They'll make California that much better. Now...there's a lot of things to do apart from theme parks. The Richard Nixon Library is nearby as well as South Coast Plaza, the best mall in the world as far as I'm concerned. If you're able to go farther, there's the Getty Center which is a heck of an awesome museum. Have fun! -
Credit Question?
The Disneylander replied to Speeddeamon128's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The Coasterfanatics coaster counter is very inaccurate. Some coasters aren't even listed, and some rides that wouldn't count as coasters under any circumstances (for example, Perilous Plunge) are listed under the coasters section, so it kinda screws up your count. As for Jeff Johnson, let's just say that NASA hasn't come up with a number big enough to fully articulate his count. The JJ Method: # of coasters ridden * number of wheels * number of seats * times ridden * incarnations * # of trains = JJ Count. -
Coaster "Power Colors"?
The Disneylander replied to Worra315's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Red and black pretty much looks good on everything. And Scream's colors look pretty sweet, even if they are faded. -
Wow, I never saw that tiny little building there before. Thanks! When was the last time it was open?

Concerning the 'lollipop' sign out on the 5 freeway, why does it say 'gift shop' underneath it? Is there a SFMM gift shop that exists? Where is it?

I would hit Disneyland on Saturday if I were you. It won't be busy as you might think, because most APs are blocked out on Saturdays, and most of the attractions there are real crowd-eaters (think Pirates-almost 2500 per hour!). Hit SFMM on Monday, and the chances are the crowds will be light...unless LAUSD has their Spring Break that week, in which case it will be crowded like hell.
