  1. Hey, is it okay if we simply address checks to 'Theme Park Review' instead of 'Theme Park Review-West Coast Bash'?
  2. ^ It's probably a launched flying inverted stand-up hyper with the new trains and fire...with boobs!
  3. A few questions... If we cannot attend the event after paying, will we able to get a refund? Is it okay if we mail the registration in with cash instead of check/money order? Sorry if this has already been asked, but I'm too lazy to search through 20+ page for the answer.
  4. ^ That's untrue. So far as I know, Percy's railway has both upstop and side friction wheels. And even if it had only upstop bars, many larger coasters also have upstop bars-Magnum is a notable example.
  5. For me, I just love the sensation of the wind in my face whistling past my face. For a few minutes, I can just let go of everything and enjoy some pure bliss.
  6. Question: are there vegetarian options for breakfast and lunch? Some of my friends are vegetarian, and they wanted to know.
  7. I've noticed that TPR is kinda rough to ACE-what's the reason behind this? Did ACE date TPR's ex-boyfriend or something?
  8. Thanks for telling us-I'll certainly be keeping an eye on this thread.
  9. Just when the thread was getting interesting...
  10. I don't think I'll manage to survive TDL if I ever go there... The crowd would eat me for sure.
  11. DCA right now is construction fanboy heaven, but most of the stuff is still operating, so it's no biggie unless you don't like the sight of construction walls everywhere. I would go over the MiceChat and ask your same question there; it's probable that you would get more informed answers for Disney over there. As for LV, Treasure Island is slightly less kid-friendly than it was a few years ago, but is still a good choice, especially when compared to Rio, Palms, Bellagio, etc. Have fun!
  12. Just out of curiosity, what was the attendance at last year's WCB?
  13. Nothing like that for me-I was instantly obsessed the moment I rode my first roller coaster, which was GhostRider.
  14. My favorite steelie is Maverick, followed very closely by Eagle Fortress. As for woodies, I'll have to say Blue Streak(you can tell I haven't been on many woodies!).
  15. The concept art looks pretty fake to me. I mean, most art nowadays is computerized, not drawn on paper with what looks like a #2 pencil.
  16. I really hope Orochi can be saved. Inverts are always a nice addition to any park *coughSFAcough*.
  17. ^ There is no Indy ride in Florida. The Indy in Paris is, I believe, very similar to a Pinfari looping-in other words, nowhere as good as Indy California.
  18. ^ Now that's not very nice! I thought they were very well done.
  19. Great, thanks for the info. We now return to our regularly scheduled discussion...
  20. I wanted to know since I am planning a school trip to the event, and I needed to notify my teacher as soon as possible. Sorry if it came out as rude at all.
  21. Does anyone know how much the event cost last year?
  22. If you look at the flyer pic, I don't think the stairs are used to evacuate people. If you look at the bottom of the lift, there's some sort of gray platform that looks like it's on rails that rul parallel to the lift. So I'm guessing that's how they evacuate people in case of a shutdown. Most likely the single catwalk is used for maintenance.
  23. Being an ardent Knotts fan, it saddens me to see how far Ghostrider has diminished in stature. Every time I go, I give it one ride, 'for respect', and then I spend the rest of my time at Xcelerator or Sierra Sidewinder.
  24. I've never blacked out riding a coaster, but the closest I've ever come to it would be on Goliath's helix.
