Track Spottings!
The Disneylander replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ It's probably a launched flying inverted stand-up hyper with the new trains and fire...with boobs! -
I've noticed that TPR is kinda rough to ACE-what's the reason behind this? Did ACE date TPR's ex-boyfriend or something?

Theme Park Review's 2008 Asia Tour!
The Disneylander replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't think I'll manage to survive TDL if I ever go there... The crowd would eat me for sure. -
DCA right now is construction fanboy heaven, but most of the stuff is still operating, so it's no biggie unless you don't like the sight of construction walls everywhere. I would go over the MiceChat and ask your same question there; it's probable that you would get more informed answers for Disney over there. As for LV, Treasure Island is slightly less kid-friendly than it was a few years ago, but is still a good choice, especially when compared to Rio, Palms, Bellagio, etc. Have fun!

The concept art looks pretty fake to me. I mean, most art nowadays is computerized, not drawn on paper with what looks like a #2 pencil. -
Expoland to close for good.

I really hope Orochi can be saved. Inverts are always a nice addition to any park *coughSFAcough*. -
^ There is no Indy ride in Florida. The Indy in Paris is, I believe, very similar to a Pinfari looping-in other words, nowhere as good as Indy California.

^ Now that's not very nice! I thought they were very well done. -
B&M Lift Catwalks
The Disneylander replied to Eric_Smith's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If you look at the flyer pic, I don't think the stairs are used to evacuate people. If you look at the bottom of the lift, there's some sort of gray platform that looks like it's on rails that rul parallel to the lift. So I'm guessing that's how they evacuate people in case of a shutdown. Most likely the single catwalk is used for maintenance. -
Knott's Ghost Rider
The Disneylander replied to vdoefx's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Being an ardent Knotts fan, it saddens me to see how far Ghostrider has diminished in stature. Every time I go, I give it one ride, 'for respect', and then I spend the rest of my time at Xcelerator or Sierra Sidewinder.
