No, but if you sit right back you'll hear a tale, a talk of its fateful trip. Have you ever crashed onto an island that wasn't how it seemed and lasted 6 seasons?

I get what you're saying here, but did they really work so hard though? Unless I'm mistaken, all they did was post a blog asking people to keep out and likely contact a few clubs asking them to keep photos off their sites. Neither of these things seem like that big of a task and could be done only once and rather quickly. Yeah, I see what you're saying, but we really don't know how much effort they've put into nixing photos from spreading on the internet. I don't follow every. single. new. addition. but I can't think of another one where we weren't allowed to post photos we found on the internet and/or where there weren't a bunch of people doing construction updates on other sites. Although, there also aren't too many major theme parks on a peninsula! Again, I totally understand and respect that the park has every right to ask us not to post or take photos and I'm not trippin over that whatsoever, just playing devil's advocate for sake of discussion. -

Well the coaster is themed to an abandoned mine company, so having a drop at the end could still *potentially* work with the theme, but also would a haunted tree animatronic. I also don't want it spoiled either way but I'll be there on Friday, so if all goes well I'll know on my first ride! -

^ I think you're right! It'll be from this material: And no one will even know that the park didn't actually demolish Mean Streak! -

It's not that they need to announce it in May, but they worked so hard all off-season to prevent people from seeing or posting photos, and when the park opens none of that will be preventable any more. So any sense of "secret" they achieved during off-season will disappear when the park opens. So unless all of that was to hold the sense of mystery until park opening where people will just see it with their own eyes, I don't see it as too far off to suspect that the reason they have done all this is because there is an announcement coming soon. Personally, I will be happy either way. Even if there is no announcement soon, in one more month we'll be able to see a lot of the layout anyway. Edit: Also, I do recognize that the park has a complete right to request that illegal photos not get posted during off-season, and that doesn't necessarily signify anything except them exercising their right. -
Great photos! I heard a rumor a bit ago that they might enclose either Sand Serpent or Scorpion. There may have been something on the table for removing Sand Serpent but I definitely remember the enclosure bit as something the park was talking about. Quick and dirty indoor coaster for when the weather is bad.

Yes Have you ever been banned from a website?

Mind as well post this here, but at the event on Saturday they said there will be a 2018 and 2019 announcement some time in April. Also, Ed said something in the Q&A about how he wishes he could know how much adding another large coaster would affect attendance. So he's obviously thinking about something large but is afraid it might not bring in enough ROI. We'll see pretty soon if they decided to move forward on another big coaster!

Great TR and photo guys! I missed a lot of what was said derpin around in the back. I just took iPhone photos but I'll post some of the ones I liked on here. As it was brought up in the Q&A, Kentucky Kingdom considers coaster enthusiasts a valuable free marketing asset and they enjoy and take care of us. They certainly did that and I had a great time. Aforementioned chair Saran wrapped lockers? Something weird and cool to me about a dried up water park One of my favorite steel coasters I took a ton of pictures of this ride yesterday This is my favorite photo Had to post one of my Storm chaser selfies. I call this tree "Mystic Timbers." The man himself! From the top of a water slide Thanks for reading! -
Yes, if it's good enough! Do you like calamari?

I recently watched a rumor video where the guy swore he had a good source that New Mean Streak will be using Gerstlauer trains. He also swore that it would be opening in Fall 2017 but I think that was mainly his opinion and not the supposed "source." -
Yes, for the most part. Did you sleep well last night?

Where Are You Going in 2017?
RAWKIN_coaster38 replied to ytterbiumanalyst's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
For sure: Kings Island Cedar Point Kentucky Kingdom Dollywood (we already went) Likely: Holiday World Six Flags St. Louis Kings Dominion Silver Dollar City Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Somewhat Likely (plans being discussed) Disney World Possibly? (Would really like to plan a trip if I still have time and money after the ones I'm really making it a goal to visit this year) Knoebels Hershey Park I could list other "maybe" parks that are near some of the ones I'd be going out of my way to visit, but that might be too optimistic. -
I just saw these posted on Screamscape. Also, they report there are markings around Joker and the Go-Karts. Maybe the Go-Karts will be moved/removed for a ride after all. 2018 seems early to invest in a big new ride or attraction since we just got Joker. I'll be happy for like 10 more years, but new rides are always welcome.

Yes, two more grad school math exams in April (just before Mystic Timbers opens). Do you prefer to get up before 10 am? (When you have the choice)

Bummer about LR. I'm so happy we got the rides we did on Saturday! It was up and down all day but I'd say more up than down. As others have said, it truly is an insane coaster and definitely the best RMC (out of 6) that I've been on, and one of the best wooden coasters (hard to decide between LR and El Toro). Also, what's up with Mystery Mine? Is it down frequently too? Because it was down most of Saturday and we were lucky to get one ride in.
