If memory serves me correctly, it was earlier last year that they left. So it's definitely been over a year. I don't think they would get a wooden coaster back there because of the noises to the animals, and possibly the noises to the neighbors across the lake. The height restriction is also more strict back there, but I'm not sure how strict. As of now it's a fairly decent unused portion of land. Come to think of it, that would potentially be a great spot for a family coaster.

That food looks great! Thanks for the report about the dolphin show. I actually think I would like Dolphin Days better than Blue Horizons. I came away from Blue Horizons wishing there was more of the dolphins in it. When they announced Dolphin Days I was worried there wouldn't be any sort of dolphin tricks or acrobatics but I'm glad they have kept it. Watching the dolphins jump and flip in unison mesmerized me as a child and still mesmerizes me as an adult.

Great TR! I actually passed Strickers Grove recently (which I forgot existed). I took a wrong turn and was trying to get back and then was like, "WHOA roller coaster WTF? Where am I??" I didn't realize it was so close to where I lived (like 30 min away). Pass preview for Mystic Timbers was definitely a lot more hectic than official opening! On Saturday, the line cleared out later in the day, after we had already waited another 4 hours (due to there being a one hour delay when we were almost to the stairs). Thanks for the back row hookup on pass preview day, it was definitely INSANE in the back! By the way, I don't know any of those people in real life, but after spending 4 hours with them in line, I got to know them! Definitely the longest I've ever waited for a coaster, but worth it! I still can't believe we waited through all those caves and in the back areas and then some.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I'm disappointed that the big Kraken head is going away. I really liked the entrance as it was, but we'll see what they do with it. Maybe the locals feel it was outdated.

I prefer going with people, but I'd much rather go alone rather than not go at all. I went alone this weekend for Mystic Timbers opening and stuck it out through the long lines and met some cool new people (non-enthusiasts) that I ended up hanging out with for the day, so it ended up not too lonely after all. I've met a lot of people because of being alone at parks. I actually met my boyfriend because we both happened to be alone at Cedar Point and sat together on Magnum. Going to new parks with people can be tough only because non-enthusiast friends/family don't want to marathon/hit everything up the way I do, but we still have a great time together. Usually towards the end of the day when everyone else decides they want a break and I'm still rearing to go they "turn me loose" to catch up on whichever last rides I want and everyone ends up happy.

I would never skip anything good but given the fact that Boomerangs are questionably skippable credits for me as it is, now I have just another reason to skip it. I'll likely be back to SFStl this summer anyway so if I change my mind I can always ride it, but I don't think I'll feel like I "missed out" by not riding Boomerang on my first trip to the park. I got lucky that 100 and 150 were "good" coasters. In the end, it's for my personal satisfaction. If things don't turn out, I'm not going to go *too* far out of my way to make the milestone something good, but I'd prefer it not be something bad. Mine Blower would happen after Carowinds and Disney, I'll definitely have to add that into the trip!

Disney World is now solidified and I will be driving down to pick up my mom at the airport, so naturally I now plan for a Carowinds day on the way down, and SFOG on the way back. Also super nerdy: I believe I can make Fury my #200 coaster, with Mystic Timbers this weekend and SFSTl as a new park credit likely in between, I can miss one coaster at SFSTl so that my first coaster at Carowinds (Fury) would be my #200.

From what I'm seeing, we are discussing more than one different source of pictures (which have both been attributed to Tony). It's possible, but it's starting to feel a little unlikely that it can all be him. Just wanted to mention one thing I thought was funny. One of the Social media accounts has "liked" only one other external post, and that post is none other than a previous TPR member complaining that he got banned for breaking TPR rules and sharing something from that page. Ha!

I agree. It inspires "mystery", which I assume is what they're going for, and it looks like the one they smashed, which is cool too. Maybe that's #whatsintheshed ? Car-smashing tree? Small detail, but now I'm curious what the station music/sound effects will be as well. Maybe just wind blowing/owls hooting but maybe eerie music (which I like), whispering in the trees (I absolutely love Lost), and crackling branches. Again, small detail, but it's all in the details!

Second picture has Pipe Scream, which is slated as a coaster, and it looks like one part of the coaster will swoop over another part of the coaster. Not a big deal. But then we look to the THIRD picture!!!! Two coaster humps visible in the back!!! The words on either side, DIVE IN, DRIVE IN!! If you go back to the Pipe Scream photo, now it is CONFIRMED!! DUELING COASTERS, one that will drive in while the other will DIVE over ZOMG!!!

I learned the hard way about 15 years ago not to talk about what was coming even if I knew what was coming. I'm sure that the people who know aren't going to tell you they know. In fact, those people enjoy speculation more than anyone else. Man, I wish I was one of those people because I would be having the time of my life right now!
