^This (if it is announced in 2012, we don't know yet) I bet as soon as we find out what's going in that spot, no one will care about the log flume any more. Since SFDK got the big coaster announcement this year, I have a feeling that next year SFMM will announce something huge. That, or CGA will surprise us all.

GAME: What's worse than...

Having a job that you absolutely despise and you get promoted to a worse position but you're making enough money that you pretty much have to stay in it the rest of your life. What's worse than a younger sibling's sleep-over party? (aka lots of teenagers giggling half the night, true story). -
I, too, thought that area would be great for a really cool custom Intamin. It's been a while since I've been to SFMM so I wouldn't know as well as those of you who've been there a lot... but isn't that area very hilly and full of trees and stuff? I can't think of any coasters in CA that make really good use of the terrain so if SFMM pulled it off... that would be awesome! I still think they should get a family ride, and Deja Vu's spot would work perfectly for something like that. I keep thinking that they might get Pandemonium, but I think it would be worse to have Pandemonium at SFMM than SFDK... so who knows where that thing is going.

No, but dum-dums make you dumber. Why are cheetah's faster than elephants? -
^I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that from that commercial.

Game: When was the last time you...
RAWKIN_coaster38 replied to onewheeled999's topic in Random, Random, Random
Probably 2009. Until 2009 I had only been on coasters in California, but after I graduated high school I took a road trip with my dad across the U.S. and went to BGW, SFGAdv, SFNE, and Cedar Point. Needless to say, many of the coasters I rode on that trip were a lot better than those in CA. When was the last time you updated your resume? -
No. Do you have your own business cards?

Going to a really nice sit-down restaurant and paying $20+ for your meal but your food is horrible or you just don't like it. What's worse than finding out in your last semester of college that you are 1 credit shy of being able to graduate? -
I've never been a huge fan of log flumes but it does sound like a lot of people are disappointed with this decision. I've heard a lot of talk about people wanting new coasters in that spot, and it would be a great place for a coaster, but shouldn't SFMM be looking into putting another family ride or water ride pretty soon? SFMM is lacking in both those areas especially after LJ goes.

One time I sang "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" during the whole ride on Medusa at SFDK. My brother and I have made it a tradition to try to sing that song during different rides like the Kamikaze at the fair, the Zipper at the fair, various flat rides at parks, and a few coasters. It all started years ago when they let a boat of us on Whitewater Falls at SFDK go around several times in a row as long as we were singing that song. There was a line for a bit too but they kept their word until the line started getting too long for them to wait any longer.

The Off-Season Survival Thread
RAWKIN_coaster38 replied to ernierocker's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I usually only manage one trip a year since I live so far away from any parks, so in the off-season I start thinking about where/when I want to go the next year, who I might take with me, and how I'll finance the trip. After this semester, I have one more semester before I graduate with my AA and transfer. Right now I'm trying to finish applications, keep excellent grades, and decide where I want to go next and how to finance it. I also do a TON of extra-curricular activities so my time is very much spent. Also, I've been planning my next tattoo which will be coaster-related. I've been conversing with the tattoo artist for a while now but so far we haven't figured out a sure design yet, but we're getting closer to a breakthrough. My 21st birthday is a week from today so I'm figuring out how to spend the money I have + the next paychecks I will get in the next few weeks + birthday money. -

No, you are currently suffering arterial bleeding. It's spurting all over the room right now and you're starting to feel faint. The corners of your vision are blackening and slowly tightening. The dark circle of the abyss has now closed in further. You're on the floor now–-warm in a pool of your own blood. In the depths of the black you can see figures calling you, beckoning you closer. You struggle to stay awake but sleep whispers erotically in your ear. There's ringing, or is it screaming? You're not sure which it is. It's so warm, you're so far away now. There are voices, but you can't tell which side of the abyss they are coming from. The blackness pools up around you like the blood around your body. You're no longer afraid now, you feel so warm and peaceful; you just want to sleep. Sleep... give in to the sleep... Did you die? -
CARS! The Car Super Thread
RAWKIN_coaster38 replied to Jordan Shankman's topic in Random, Random, Random
I'm a total GP when it comes to cars... What's the best way to heat your car without using a ton of gas? The windshield has been freezing over in the morning and it always seems to take 5-10 minutes of running the car with the defroster on full blast before it melts enough that I can wipe it and drive, however, I think the gas tank has drained twice as fast as usual. Also, there's a button next to the A.C. button with a picture of a car and an arrow circulating around the car. Am I correct that this button should be pushed to maximize the heater? I really don't know what the button does... -

You think you're being hunted down by a serial killer, so you call the police only to find out that the whole time you've been going crazy killing people and the serial killer really is yourself. Then you're on death row for years and years until you finally get convicted and die of a lethal injection while the families of the victims watch in satisfaction. What's worse than having a really close friend have something bad happen, but you don't have enough time or gas to go visit and comfort your friend who lives an hour away? (True story ) -

Maybe high school some time, but I generally got in the top highest scores of anyone, so cheating would only get me lower scores than if I just figured things out myself. When was the last time you played a musical instrument? -

Good question, but I'd pick the flying. I've always thought it'd be cool to fly and I think it would be more convenient. Running at the speed of a fighter jet would certainly get me to work or school fast, but I'd still have to take the roads and watch out for people/cars/animals/hazards at breakneck speeds. I'm pretty sure that the first day of my ability, I'd run smack into a confused deer and die in a bloody heap. Yep, I'd rather fly. Would you rather be extremely ugly but have a gorgeous spouse, or have an ugly spouse but you're gorgeous?
