I don't know why but I just like the name Maverick so much.

Is this project dead or is there just a lack of updates??? It is looking good from what I can see.

The coaster looks great, based on the pics I think its going to Magic Mountain. The park said it would get more of a family ride and the ride does look pretty small. Thats my guess.

The Boomerang looks great. I think its the only Boomerang with good theming that I've seen.

I'm so glad someone is doing a recreation of this park. I have never seen one and I get to see the park in one of its best years again.

This might be a little out of order but does anyone think this could be the first hyper to have a 90 degree drop, maybe even steeper. One of the teasers said steep incline ahead. That is what I've been thinking.

I would ride it, it would be great on top of the Stratosphere Tower though.

Yeah my bet is on a GCI too, and maybe CF is getting a deal from GCI because GCI is also building a new coaster at California's Great America.

The hyper twister looks insane so far, keep up the good work.

This park looks amazing already and only 3 rides are up. The coaster does have the big drop that will pull alot of G's but besides that perfect.

Yeah, if you want to get over the fear, what I did is bring a friend with you who will force you on a ride. I was terrified of TTD, now I love it, same with Millenium.

My favorite is Thunderbolt or Jack Rabbit at Kennywood.

I think that the park was doomed after 2000. I think Six Flags was trying to make Geauga Lake the premier amusement park in northern Ohio. Before 2000 I think that Six Flags did believe that they could beat out Cedar Point when they added all of the rides. Cedar Point then added Millenium, Wicked Twister, Top Thrill Dragster and I think people would just rather go to Cedar Point for those then Geauga Lake. It also didn't help after 2001 Geauga Lake didn't get any landmark attraction. My wish was that Geauga Lake was still a nice family fun park when owned by Fun Times I think. Now all of the rides are getting demolished

Last coaster I was on was Mantis a week ago.

They claimed that it was something to do with the braking. Like they wanted to make sure if it started to storm bad on the ride they would only have to worry about getting that one train instead of three with passengers to safety. That is what the ride op told me.

The lines at the park weren't horrible today after 2p.m. Before they usually were long. Mantis had a 45-60min wait, Mean Streak-60min wait, Millenium and Maverick were both around an hour and a half. But it was raining pretty good when I got on Mean Streak finally, same with Mantis today. On a quick sidenote Wildcat's emergency stop button was used today, People were evacuated from it around 8p.m. Guess its lucky I got my ride in in the morning.

I was at the park today and it was raining/overcast in the morning. I'm in line for Mean Streak with my friends because they wanted to ride it alot. Anyway it started to rain and they cut it down to one train. Making a 15min. wait 1hr. When I got to the station I asked the ride op why they were only running one train for an hour wait. He said that Cedar Point's new rain policy will be that they will keep the rides open but only one train. I'm not sure if this is a huge improvement because the waits get very long, but at least the rides are open.

This is an incredibly sad incident. Even though the kid broke the rules I think its incredibly sad he died for it. It hurts the park, the rider, and the victim's family. It's just a bad deal anyway you see it. If the family decides to sue, I don't think it's right. As long if there was adequate warning and a fence protecting people from the ride, the park is not at fault.

I was stuck on Iron Dragon for 30 minutes at Cedar Point because someone threw up and they took a very long time to clean it up for a little bit of puke.

I hope, that in the coming years, Six Flags does sell the park to a company that will refurbish all the rides. I have been to the park 6 years ago at I loved it. I went back last year and the park needed some work. I could even see PARC managment buy out the park.

Beast wins with out a doubt. Son of the Beast hurt so much, even more than Mean Streak which I have been on and killed me.
