cprocks22 replied to DATman's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
OMG I want a Jack Ball! Awesome Photo TR, great pictures. I miss Disneyland/DCA, I missed a lot when I was there (TOT opened a week after I left and I missed Space Mountain because it was down for rehab). BTW-Pan's Labyrinth is awesome! -
Funniest Ride Experiences
cprocks22 replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have 2. The first one (and to me the funniest) was actually on Stingray at Noah's Ark in the Wisconsin Dells last summer. My cousin and I had gone on it a few times already that day and loved it, and we convinced my parents to go on it. My mom which i should add is afraid of heights. We get to the top and let them go first, my mom facing forward and my dad facing backward. As soon as they go down my cousin and I can't see anything but all we hear is KEVIN MICHAEL and my cousin and I just die laughing on the spot, even the life guard was laughing. The other experience was 1 year ago at Cedar Point on opening day. I went with one of my friends and since Skyhawk was new we decided to wait for it. We get on the ride and sit down and wait for them to check our harnesses. The ride starts and were both ok. When it gets up to its full swing and were looking 100ft straight down at the ground i look over at my friend sitting next to me and she has this OMFG look on her face that was just priceless. I wish I had my camera ready. -
Ok i know the answer to this one. Yes it is because you would get sucked in. The rip-tide (just like in the ocean) from the waves going out would eventually suck you into the grates and possibly under water. Just look at Newtons 3rd law (yeah I'm a nerd): for every action there's an equal and opposite reaction, so for the force of the waves pushing out, theres that much force pulling back, therefore they put a rope there so people don't get "sucked in".

I hate you... My last concert was last night. The Fray w/ Ok Go and Mae. Ok Go and Mae were the opening acts and were pretty good. The Fray was amazing, great concert. Also anyone that likes The Fray will be happy to know there is a new album coming out soon, they played a few of the new songs from it, there was only one called Dixie (I think) that I didn't like too much.

I'm planning on going out and buying Super Paper Mario soon. I was at Best Buy the other day and couldn't decide between SSX Blur (I've loved all the SSX games) and Super Paper Mario. Needless to say I picked SSX Blur and wish i would have picked Super Paper Mario -

I'm going on the 20th with a few friends, mainly to ride Maverick a couple times (hopefully), and hit everything else worth hitting. Any suggestions on what times to ride Maverick for minimal waits, I personally don't care about waiting but my friends do. -

^Thanks for clarifying that, i didn't think he meant acro, but freefall makes more sense, i didn't know it was recently removed. Also I'm not positive about spiderman, but this is crazy rumors, so I don't know. -

I'm heading down on the 19th or 20th with a few friends to ride Maverick. I personally can't wait to ride it. Also does anyone know how the effects are working (the smoke in the tunnel and the water cannons). It would be a great bonus if they're working when I'm there! EDIT: 300th Post! -

^I doubt a dive machine for KI, Busch has a contract with B&M about dive machines until 5 years after Sheikra, and even then I don't know if KI would get one. I remember hearing at SFOG that they were taking out a drop ride (AKA acrophobia) and putting in something with spiderman (this is from the employee working in the gift shop at the exit for Goliath). I also heard somewhere that Cedar Point is getting a dark ride and a kiddie coaster in the next few years. Personally i hope this is true, though i doubt it. -

Waiting in line...
cprocks22 replied to swampfox's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Personally I don't mind waiting in line that much. Sure if the line doesn't move because of bad operations then i get a little agitated. Still if I'm waiting with my friends, then its not bad at all and the line seems to fly by no matter how long it really is. Secret Scary Coaster
cprocks22 replied to jason10's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
There's only 3 rides that really truly scared me. First (and most scary) was X, my first time on it. I was 12 and waited for a while, so once i was in the station i was pretty freaking scared. I sat down and the restraints at the time did NOT feel safe to me. At the top of the hill once my seat rotated I'll admit i screamed like a little girl. I loved the ride though. Next would probably be Dragster. I was fine all through the line but once we pulled out of the station and it was dark after waiting in line for so long i was scared, and so were my friends (it was all our first time on it). Once we launched it was awesome though. And last would be Millennium, which doesn't scare me anymore (the first drop is still pretty intense though). -

I never thought about it but i guess I'm pretty lucky. My parents, no matter how much we snip at each other, are pretty cool I guess. My mom: My mom is the crazy one of the family (next to me). Shes the one that said i could get a tattoo last summer, and also let me go bungee jumping and scad diving. But our personalities are polar opposites so we get in a lot of little fights just because were annoyed. Shes loud, obnoxious crazy and can't sit still for more then 5 minuets at a time. I'm quiet, fairly calm, and well crazy as well, but don't show it as much. My dad: My dad is cool too, but hes more of the enforcer in the family. Hes the one that stopped me from getting the tattoo last summer (I'm still decided if thats a good thing or not ). My dad is one of the nicest and funniest (AKA sarcastic) people i know, which is directly from his dad (my grandpa who passed away before i ever met him). Mom and Dad: Overall I have no real complaints about my parents. Other then the minor annoyances which i think almost everyone has, they're great parents. I love them to death.

^Agreed, and I actually hope they're a little loud, it definitely would add an amazing effect to the ride. I can't wait to ride this, it looks amazing, and I'm sure it will only get better once all the effects are working.
