Photo TR: Six Flags Great America, July 2010

^ I agree, you can't do SFGAm and NOT ride some of the flats. As for Buccaneer Battle... It's not a fail at all. It just such a crazy capacity that there is never a line. The ride itself is loads of fun, and it always has a crowd of people on shore that are waiting to squirt the people on the ride. Great to hear that you had good day. Rainy days are the best at SFGAm! -
Can't wait for the Sharktopus premier TPR chat!

^ How come you only mentioned Whizzer night rides in your post the whole time? But seriously, If you haven't been to SFGAm and it's reasonably close. Get the hell off your couch and go there! Like Cameron said it won't disappoint and it's a great park. Great Flats, Rides built to break records and or be first of their kinds, quite a few Schwarzkopfs, B&M's first coaster, Intamin's second coaster, and not to mention a few coasters that glide and dive through trees and over water. I should be signing up later today and I WON'T be punching Cameron.

Photo TR: A Germany-Netherlands Train Adventure!
kumba830 replied to Solid Gold's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
When I was in Germany I bought a Summerbreak ticket for Deutsche Bahn that let you travel unlimited amounts on pretty much all trains except the ICE. We freaking used the train to get everywhere, and they really do have a much better transportation system than here in the USA. I went to Heide Park during my stay, and like you I was underwhelmed by Colossus. But then I absolutely loved Desert Race, with all it's fast turns and awesome twisty airtime! Heide has some great water rides to and Grottenblitz is really fun for a powered coaster. -
To keep form making a new topic I want to add my question on here. How much does it cost to ride OlympiaLooping/get an all day ride pass at a German fair? I plan on stopping at the one in Wurzburg and appreciate answers -Thanks Nathan,

Don't you just love people who try to get on other peoples nerves?

^Why does everyone care about the silly wallpaper thing? I myself would just like to keep my background looking as clean a possible, probably dark solid colors so I can actually read the names of my App's. [HD video recording and iMovie ] -

Wow, this ride really does look good! I think I changed my mind on what park I am going go during my stay in Germany. Although I can't get past the track color, it's kind of fugly. -
TPR illegal in France?
kumba830 replied to Noxegon's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
So I won't be able to go on TPR durring my layover in Paris? -
^ Sure, as long as it lives on! Iron Wolf is actually a really good ride if you don't mind a bit of roughness. It's got grey out forces, a bit of airtime, and a really nice layout. I would prefer the park to keep IW, maybe spruce it up a bit or get some new trains. But that's probably not going to happen If Chang gets approved on this last meeting.

Do Your Friends Know of Your Coasterness?
kumba830 replied to AJClarke0912's topic in Random, Random, Random
Yeah, pretty much all of my friends and family know. But usually they all say "Hey, aren't you obsessed with six flags", then I'll either roll my eyes at them or lecture them on how I don't necessarily just love Six Flags. Although I do have a few friends who I bring/plan to bring to coaster events. Oh, I also get E-mail from my Mom's friend telling about "Oh this looks so scary!" or chain e-mails about TTD being the worlds tallest and fastest coaster around. That always gives me a good laugh. -
Indiana Beach June, 13 2010 ______________________________________ After Holiwood Nights I'm back in Indiana the next week for another First time trip to a park. What better way to visit than with Cameron, Jeremie, Griffin, and Mother Griffin! For those of you not familiar with the park. It's like someone took the best of the classic flat rides, a few really fun coasters, a big heap of WTF atmosphere, and put it all on a tiny boardwalk. There you have it, one of the best theme parks around! Cornball [# 50] was great, front or back it didn't matter you always got ejector . Hoosier Hurricane really didn't have any air time though [except the front row on the double up], but it was a really fun ride due to it's location and it swooping over the lake. Sadly Lost coaster was closed. I'll probably be going back soon to ride it though. Steel Hawg was one of many ride at IB where you get off and you just have a puzzled look on your face. It was surprisingly smooth and I loved the downward heart-line roll. But the surprise was Galaxi, It was actually really fun smooth ride. With plenty of air time in the back car on the first two drops. I also fell in love with the Yo-Yo and the Paratrooper. It was my first time on both for a ride of it's type and they were both genius! The verdict is that Indiana Beach is an awesome little park and it has a great atmosphere. It gets an A+ in my books! [Don't forget to do the haunt/walk-through] -Photos- Splash battles make me wet The guns don't shoot that well, but it's still a really fun ride. Jizz jizz everywhere! I <3 yo-yo!!!! First coaster of the day. [i love all of the signs at IB they carry on the WTF feeling of the park] You can see the famous gum tunnels in this picture ;] The log ride has an acceptable amount of wetness. I approve! What's this above my head? Thats delish "I'm Tig'rr give me your bad romance!" "O.K.!" I was actually a little surprised by the airtime on the first drop... Anton you sneaky little devil you! I really liked the two swooping turns also, really fun elements of the ride! A hott mess The Flyers at IB are much better than the ones I rode at HW last week. The wind help you gain a LOT more altitude. Jer and Griff after their hot Schwarzy love trip. You can get some really nice views from the ferris wheel Yo-Yo how I love thee. If only those hills created some decent air =[ Weird thing... Like everywhere you went around the park there were Mayflies. On the sides of building, on the handrails, on the boardwalk... Everywhere! Although I was told by Cameron that this is not a common thing. If only she was hot ;] Boogedy boogy BOO. I'm sort of becoming a double shot fan. These things are extremely fun! For all of you who like round objects... Are you trying to catch a Mayfly or something? Manual break porn. "I'd like to break you manually" Me being overly excited to ride a Schwarzkopf = Looking like a chipmunk Camu is sitting erect Nom nom nom! Delicious! It rained for about 20 minutes but after we rode Galaxi about 10 times in a row. This ride OP was awesome, so If your reading this... your awesome! Um... not sure what was going on when this was taken. But I'm sure we don't really need to know Yum ghetto. Awww, I don't get to encounter the bear today! =[ "Tilt, no whirling aloud..." It's OK for not having a tri-pod...right? We ended our night on Hurricane. Oh, and thumbs up to the two ride OP's at the ride that whole evening. They were really energetic and raced each-other to see who could check the restraints first, and they really got the guest involved! Good-Bye Indiana Beach! I'll be back for sure some time soon!

So a coaster with the layout of that model. With this train... Looks like I may be going back to LA some time in the future! -
Well when he was here in America he was able to ride Batman at SFGAm. But do they have a universal max. height for B&M's or not?

Question for German locals- So I will be going to Germany this year [90% chance] and I need to know If my German friend who is 6'6" can ride all if not most of the rides at the following parks: Hansa park, PhantasiaLand, and Olympia Looping. All responses are greatly appreciated. -Thanks, Nathan Sta.

^^Holiwood Nights?

Holiwood Nights June,6 2010 _________________________________ Hey everyone... I went to Holiday World with my best friend Chris, Cameron, muh Madre, Tommy, Griffin, and Father Griffin. Not only was this my first time doing Holiwood Nights, but it was my first ever time to Holiday World! I was not expecting much from the park at all. I expected two "normal" woodies then Voyage to be around par with Hades. Gosh was I wrong. Legend was really fun, Raven was amazing, and Voyage... Wow... I felt like I had ran a mile when I hit the break run, it really is that intense! The park had some nice water slides and of course, Wildebeest was amazing! The park also has some fun flats and as much Pepsi as you could want. Over all I had an awesome time at the event and I'm pretty sure I'll be back next year! [Here are some off-ride shots of Wildebeest] [sorry for not taking that many photos, I was focused to much on riding woodies. ] One of our movies of the trip, who doesn't love a little Narnia? On our way down we met up with Cameron to start our track down through IL and IN. About 3/4 down Chris and I switched cars and rode with Cameron Sadly Jeremie couldn't go. But we tortured him with lots of updates and text about Voyage. The park really is in the middle of no where... FINALLY! Exclusive angle! You should be proud of me. At least Legend doesn't steal your loose articles like Raven does. My mind was focused on other things than the little welcome speech. There he is, in great condition... Will, you will be missed and I'll be praying for the Kotch family =[. Griff, you ready for some ERT?!?! I mean an hour of ERT is awesome. But at HN you get buttloads of ERT! Raven... Wow this is one awesome coaster. I can't decide if I like it or Voyage more! Yes, Voyage is blurry to the naked eye at dusk. In the words or Arnold Schwarzenegger "I'll be back" We ended the night with a few Raven re-rides, then it was time to head back to the hotel and get *some* sleep We woke up around 6:30 and I'm no morning person. But this guy sure woke me up Wildebeest... Better than half the coasters I have ridden. No joke! Seriously... Go ride this bad boy. Griffin-"So how was Intimidator" Guy with Intimidator shirt-"Hated it" I looks like the guy in the front row lost his finger... I love how much Raven is in the woods To me I found that Legend gave JUST enough lat's to be thrilling, yet not painful. Twisty drop porn It's wooden, so the saying "through the tree's" applies... right? Butt-"Hey Seat, Your girlfriend was fun last night" Seat-"What the hell.. that was you?!?!" Butt-"Yeah, what you gonna do about it?" Seat-*pulls out knife* Butt-*runs away from seat as fast as it can* Art-see Could I get a side of 90* with that? Actually.. Make that three. Griffin cheats, he makes his dad take pictures... I wish these would fit in my pocket. =[ Tommy before his first ride on Voyage. [Tommy=Griffin's cousin] Nom Nom Nom Many have traveled from far and wide, to laugh & scream on the pilgrim's ride, now it's time to sail away, your Voyage begins without delay! Once again, when we are Eating free food my mind is elsewhere... Chris and Griffin. That night we had a butt load of re-rides on Raven. I'd say around 15-18 somewhere in that area [correct me if I'm wrong]. The ride O.P.'s were also very enthusiastic. Then It was time to go back to our hotel's. I will miss Holiday World so much. As well as Will, he made the park into the great place it is and he will be missed dearly. I hope to go back some time soon and that Will's legacy lives on for years to come.

I find if kind of funny how the loop goes the wrong way in RCT3. [it doesn't cross over like they show in the game]
-
Wow... I have a whole new level of respect for Anton now! Is that also what looks like a figure-8 shaped pair of dive loops?
-
Nice photos, I'm starting to realizing how photogenic CP really is lately. I don't really have the urge to get to CP any time soon, although I could always stop by to get a few rides on their Schwarzkopf.

May 30th 2010 [Once again, sorry for the sideways photos... I have no idea why they are uploading like that.] _________________________________ This trip was quite different than my other trips to SFGAm. In fact SFGAm and little dipper were just like little side dishes to our day. The day started off with me being dropped off at SFGAm, then shortly after meeting up with Jeremie and Jo to get our dipper credit. We then hopped in Jo's car and drove down to Plainfield IL for Griffin's little middle-school graduation shindig. After that we then headed back to SFGAm to get in a few rides on Eagle, Whizzer, and then we watched the Glow in the Park Parade. It was a super fun day and I cannot wait to see everyone again! Photos! Before we started the day I waited for Jeremie outside of the park along the rear entrance. These little drops are one of the best parts of the ride... Well If it doesn't crush your nuts Ok, this is why we are here. To whore it up and get us some credit! But apparently it isn't open yet so we went for a ride on Batty and V2. Moved entrance The ad's aren't bad at all on V2... Waiting... And waiting... With an added dose of child leashes. Then it finally opened about an hour after the park had opened. info They kept the skid breaks, but they are now run by some type of automatic hydraulic system Trains have a nice oldies look And now we are off to Griffin's shindig! rawr? Our little friend for the day. *no comment needed* Once again with the *no comment* thing.... Hey there Griff! Mr. Star biked over to Griffin's house. Exploding high five! As if we were big enough whores earlier today we stopped by Safari Land. Thats right, Credit! Ca ching! Hi Sean! Then we were off to SFGAm again Multiple Whizzer night rides? Yes please! A good sight indeed Justice! We watched the Glow in the Park Parade, which was actually pretty good More Whizzer! But really, If you haven't ridden Whizzer at night yet. Do it.
