  1. I approve of the comment this person left on my donations page. ____________________________ Now that I have more time, here is a more in-detail "about me" bit. I currently live in Milwaukee and most likely the Chicago area in the upcoming year. I will also be turning 18 years old in the upcoming month, which is funny because it just so happens I will be spending it with awesome TPR members! I also like Volkswagens, skiing, long boarding, photography, and Schwarzkopf [Hey R.D.!]. I got into coasters when I stumbled upon TPR from merely searching "roller coasters" in the lobby of some hotel when I was about 11 years of age. I have come a long way from there in terms of becoming who i am and how TPR has influenced me. My best friends are what I call the "TPR Chicago Gang" and I honestly love how such a big group of people get along so well and do so much together. I also have met a lot of TPR'ers from all over and not to mention the great people who were on the North East trip last summer. Honestly couldn't ask for a better bunch of people. I have heard of coaster marathons before, but was not aware of how to become part of one until Robb and Elissa posted about this here on TPR. I think this is a great opportunity! What could possibly be a better combination than marathoning coasters with great people, than on top of that in doing so you are able to raise money for a great cause. Now for some incentives as to get a few more donations: --$100 mark: Two $15 donations go to random people who have supported me. --$150 mark: Detailed report of X-flight at SFGAm. [Review, photos, and possibly a video] --$200 mark: I will post a photoTR of the Coasting for Kids event at Michigans Adventure. Getting in some Whizzer time with Ryan and Griffin. Whoring it up on a kiddie coaster with my uncle Shawn!
  2. As of now it is looking like: Definate -Six Flags Over Texas [visited already] -Six Flags St. Louis -Six Flags Great America -Michigans Adventure -Kings Island Possible -Indiana Beach -Holiday World -Silver Dollar City -Different parks in the UK [That's a good 5 parks if I go] Random trips I never expected are always a possibility also.
  3. Great report Matt! This thing is starting to look a lot more interesting now that I have seen better photos of this thing. Fingers crossed it turn to be a great ride like I have been hearing Wild Eagle has turned out to be... [Also that first photo was a bit much for me, far too racy. ]
  4. I will be participating at Michigan's Adventure. [My Page] clicky! The name's Nathan, I am very excited to be able to participate in this event. Not only is this an awesome event but and even better cause. I cannot wait for June, and hoping that Thunderhawk is as smooth as people have said it to be. I strongly encourage those who are unable to participate themselves to donate and support Team TPR! If you do not donate you will be covered in gravy and fed to ACE'ers. I am so grateful for all of the great times I have had thanks to TPR. It only makes sense to join Team TPR and have an awesome time and raising money for a great charity.
  5. But does that really mean that the rest of the day it isn't open to season pass holders also? confusion.
  6. Well of course its likely it happens some time down the line. It's just the way that you asserted your "facts" which really did not have much behind them and that were a bit off kilter. But eh, I wont bitch anymore
  7. Just signed up! My page This sounds like and awesome event for an even greater cause. Go Team TPR!
  8. Comment on how much it cost to run V2 at SFGAm.
  9. Yes, you have stressed that it has had a few costly things done in its life time, what ride doesn't? But for overall normal running cost I'm pretty sure it cannot be THAT bad.
  10. I sort of agree with you, for most people it is their favorite ride in the park, definitely still popular. Secondly, does anyone know the actual cost it takes to run V2 compared to other rides in the park? Not just observations or saying "Oh, they replaced this" or "It uses electricity."
  11. Does anyone think this could delay the opening of Mr. Freeze from the rest of the park? Because I was a SFOT last week and missed riding it there. Now I just have my fingers crossed that It'll be open when I visit SFStl next month!
  12. What the heck is all this talk of the ride rotation program???
  13. So it's been a while... Air humps for Anton!
  14. They better have live "dancers" in the top area of the watch tower.
  15. All I was thinking when watching the Superbowl commercials this year was. "Where are the funny beer commercials?"
  16. Looks like they made quite a lot of progress today... I'm really liking the looks of that turn [assuming that's where the water effect will be]. Getting more and more excited for this =] Nom nom nom.
  17. Definitely good news for Cyclone. The ride has a lot of potential and this might just bring it out! Agree with everyone not liking the idea of new trains though. I'm a big sucker for woodies with the old style trains....
  18. Finally upgraded. Got a new Samsung Focus S. It's a windows phone... and I sure am lovin' it!
  19. For some reason I really like that one picture of Cyclone on the bottom right. Option #1 is what I'd go with!
  20. That lift looks steep, very steep.... Or is that just typical for wing riders?
  21. Heres a park video I did for Indiana Beach back in 2010. Dang.... I really need to get back into making videos again.
  22. Best add placement ever. I approve TPR!
