I'm going to SFOT on 3-21-08
cedarpointfangirl replied to haydawg149's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Titan, Mr. Freeze and Superman:Tower of Power are definitely worth the wait. I am not quite sure if Shockwave has re-opened not or yet. I guess is depends on what you want to ride. Batman is worth the wait if you want to add it to your track record, along with Runaway Mountain. The Texas Giant can be brutal, however, it is worth the wait..to me at least. Flashback, well..I wouldn't wait..unless again you want to add it to your TR!! Most of the flats are pretty fun. Rodeo and Acme: Rock-N- Rocket can have some really slow load times, I would avoid them if the lines are long. Spring Breakout is CRAZY busy!! This is the last week of SBO. Next week the park is only open on Sat and Sun. Tony Hawk still has quite a ways to go. I am hearing maybe the 1st or 2nd week of May for opening. I am sure some other folks on here can help you out too, hope this helps. -
I have always been fascinated with this. My homepark used to be Kings Dominion , and at the time they used to have the old rotor ride "Time Shaft" and the old dark water ride named"Haunted River" and "Smurf Mountain". I know Volcano now occupies that mountain where all three rides used to be housed. I haven't been to KD since 1990 so I have looked at a bunch of pics of the mountain to see if I see any remnants of any of the rides or tunnels into mountain. To no avail I haven't really found any. I would love to though. Those three rides pack a bunch of memories for me!!

2008 Six Flags Souvenir Cup Policy
cedarpointfangirl replied to trek's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was wondering how long it was going to take for SF to put this into effect. I usually buy a new one every year anyway, however sometimes a cup from the previous year might be the first thing I grab out of the cabinet on my way out the door to the park. I don't drink a huge amount of coke at the park, I usually just fill it with water and lots of ice, especially during the summer in this REALLY HOT state of Texas. -

Wow great video. I truly had a great time and I hope to make it for WCB 2009. -
Wow..I had a simply amazing time. I can't express enough thanks for this day. I did so much riding from Saturday evening and Sunday my body said..what the hell??!! On my flight back to Dallas I don't think I moved a muscle cuz they hurt to bad!! I enjoyed everything about the trip. It is so great being with people who can truly share your passions for roller coasters. I look forward to hopefully taking a TPR trip in the future.

No!! Do you think they need to ban cell phone use while driving unless you use a hands free device??

I guess it really depends on who you take an who's paying for what. This last July I took my cousin with me. We stayed at BE for 3 nights. We hit the park for the first night with the two starlight tickets which were like 25 bucks a pop at the gate. Since I paid for the hotel I used the last two full day tickets and she got her two day ticket which was discounted( can't remember cost). The parking pass was great, it is dated for you entire hotel stay, you just put it on your dashboard and when you go to park they just pass you thru gate. Thats a 30 dollar value just to park. We utilized a few of the food coupons but really just ended up eating early lunch at park. The hour access early in the park was a great perk. We went straight to Maverick, cut our wait time to like 30 minutes when the line grew to about 2 hrs or so later.

Dont you ever get Scared?
cedarpointfangirl replied to Joan_Crawford's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Roller Coasters have never scared me. Even riding Dragster or Ka just made me want an even higher and faster coaster. One flat ride has put a knot in my stomach, infact it was this last year at The State Fair of Texas, A Mondial Caprialo. I conquered it, wouldn't do it a again cuz it was a tad painful when the gondola flips you over to be face down at a fairly high rate of speed only a few feet from the platform. My shoulders paid for it the next day!! OUCH!! -
Hey Everyone. My name is Jessica. I currently live in Irving, TX and about 12 miles from SFOT. I am in school studying Criminal Justice and hoping after I graduate to get on with one of our local police forces and then work my way up to eventually work in Homicide. I currently work for Bank of America in Card Issuance. Riding coasters is my fave thing to do but I also like to go four wheeling, camping and fishing. I love to watch football and baseball. My fave steelie to date is Millennium Force and my fave woodie is El Toro.

I'm all for the line jumping system. I don't know that I would ever need to utilize at my home park since I visit quite often, but at another park where I am limited with time I would buy one. When I hit SFMM in March I will only be there for 2 days, I fly in Sat, stay at the park till it closes and then have Sunday for the West Coast Bash, then fly back home Monday. That Saturday I will utilize flashpass cuz I have never been to MM before. Thats if I can get one, our sell out quick at SFOT on really busy days. I wish more rides would utilize the single rider line. Thats a great thing for me, the only one we have at SFOT is for Superman. I get like 4-5 rides in before half the people even make it thru the line.
