So far the forecast appears to be holding out,Iam using accuweather via my phone to get the updates. So who's gonna be at the park saturday? I plan to hit the road around 9am but due to multiple pick-ups plus traffic probably won't get there around noon or so but if anyone's going friday please give us a windseeker review.

Unfortunately that's the way SF prefers running things.

It's going to open at the new Intamin cable themed park,along with a standup,floorless aquatrax LOL!!!

I wonder if anaconda's days are numbered?The ride hasn't been repainted in years& they started in 2010 but never finished so a wingrider on the lake would be a good idea but of course they have more land to play with south of rebel yell than they know what to do with but I don't see themgetting a new coaster until 2014 at the earliest.

BGW loves to get their hands on new coaster designsespecially B&M's & as we saw with the dive coasters put an exclusive contract on it for a few years so don't put it past them not to pick one up,they can easily market a wingrider as a fitting replacement for DF you know. Edit:Why,if this is for CP would they need to fabricate & ship track this early...especially if it only needs to be shipped from Cincinnatti to Sandusky?

The park isn't permitted to build enclosed tunnels on coasters,they have to be open-sided like on Roar.I kinda wish they'd incorporate the red in supports too as it would add a nice contrast to the ride.

Sure but that happens with every track sighting at the plant....we all want it for our home parks & are usually met with disappointment. That reminds me....I'm suprised that the plant hasn't gone so far as to fence up theiroutdoor storage lot to keep us from photographing what's there?They had to resort to changing the shipping labels in recent years so I wouldn't put it past them to go that far,after all until the track is shipped it's still their property & they might not appreciate people taking photographs of it....even from a public road.

The forecast for opening weekend keeps changing,just yesterday they were calling for rain & 69 on 4/7/12 & today they're calling for mostly clear & 80 on that same date.I sure hope that forecast holds but I'll keep checking via my phone every day.

That's true...parks don't really care about color as much as we think. I might be willing to call it as possible for a CF park but not too sure for an SF park as SFI isn't being big on expensive rides & want to keep costs down by reintroducing the ride rotation program.It could end up at KD as their last coaster was in 2010 & with SFA &BGW adding coasters this year it might be a good call for 2013,especially if they'd want to get their hands on it before BGW puts an exclusive contract on it like they did with the dive machines. Part of that is the fanboy in me(of course) but it's always a possibility.I don't see it as going to CP as there are two or three factors working against it. 1:The new guy isn't fixated soley on CP like Kinzel was.2:If CP wanted this kind of coaster they would've bought a 4-D a long time ago,or a flyer for that matter.3:One big reason why CP hasn't gotten a new coaster since Maverick is the local economy,namely in Detroit which is one of their target marketing demographics in the region....building an expensive coaster doesn't help raise attendance when people in the region can't afford to visit as much as before.

.09 might be high on the lateral side but I'm no B&M fan boy I want my coasters to be pushed to the MAX!!! I've designed a coaster called Full Throttle with a max speed of 106mph of course I want you to feel every bit of it, I know I wouldn't want to ride a coaster by that name and see that speed and then step off saying well that was forceless I feel like as long as the g's aren't flashing to yellow / red or even a full 1g of lats is more then acceptable a .09 of lats for a second Far as my Stengel Dive thingy again that's your opinion, it's fine with me, I made it the g's are in check both pos and lats and I like it!!! I don't have to find you anything! This is the way I designed the coaster. Like I said for all you know this coaster was built around other things already in the park like buildings and other rides use your imagination. Still you don't have to like it you have your right not too. Beside why would I want to design my coasters like something that's already out there, if I could find you a design that's like mine then imo it wouldn't be an original design since you can find it somewhere else. I agree & this is why I stopped uploading my designs a couple years back....people for instance complained about using the pre-fab elements in my designs when they were hard enough for me to create that way than doing it 100% by hand.NL/RCT2 & 3 are just games/simulations after all & not an art school project that one is to be severely graded on

No,I call it clever marketing on Dollywood's part. SFI hasn't got the cash for multi-coaster deals fora ride of such cost & their majorly spoiled park (SFMM) can be ruled out for a wingrider since they have a 4-D.Besides SFI wouldn't build such a massive ride that needed to be produced this early in order to be a 2013 installation. My money is on it being for one of the Asian parks that seem to be popping up like weeds as of recently,of course I can always cross my fingers & hope that it's for a CF park(preferably KD).

Sure they have the resources needed for standup parts,where do you think the replacement parts for the existing standups come from?I don't see VF getting a wingrider,they've been passed over for every major B&M design since CF started buying their rides so I don't see them getting a ride like that.

Not sure on the shows since I generally spend time on rides all day. Do any of the other windseeker's sway that much on the descent? to me it looks like they didn't even install the dampers yet. Keep in mind that there is little weight to the seats without riders actually in them in this pov. Rocking/Swaying is natural and will be after spinning around. Both Kings Island's and Cedar Point's WindSeekers sway that much on descent. When actually riding them I've never felt like the seats in front of me would have collided with my knees and I'm a tall dude! I'll have to review the video but it does look like they've got a water dummy in the seat just in front of the camera on the outside row.

I dunno....I kinda feel as if this may be for the overseas market since it's way too early for the US market to be ordering rides of this caliber for 2013.Remember how long it took for the mystery "yellow" B&M to finally be built? & we all know where that ended up now don't we? Now this could very well be something for SFM since they have yet to announce & pandamonium hasn't even been shipped out yet.

A wingrider in hurler's footprint would be a tight fit,besides I don't see CF goiing with the wingrider fadsince they never went for the B&M flyers & that was with Kinzel at the helm. I see this as being for another SF park following the GL theme since the color is green & SF seems to be interested in the concept with the XF installation this year.

Yeah that's what I was thinking after seeing the video just a few minutes ago on facebook...seeing this has got me pumped up to ride in just 12 days but I sure hope they're not gonna be playing that "winds of change" song as part of the ride's onboard audio system.

I dunno about that what with fastlane being added this year.

I went on backlot once last year in a light rain &it wasn't the best....the rain stopped when we got up to the gates but theminute we launched it was like a monsoon.

I'll be toobusy on windseeker to notice.

I wonder if they'd consider doing this for JJ & Polty?I'd like to see CF do this with BLSC or volcanobut of course they're too darn chicken as we saw what they did regarding running the woodies backwards....granted PTC recommended they not run them likethat but still.
