Why you don't trust carni rides...
FlyingScooter replied to Angry_Gumball's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've been to plenty of carnivals. I've also seen how the rides are put together and by whom. Day labor, show up to the site at 8 am and you too can build Tilt A Whirl. no thanks... Me, i'm affraid of Carnies, you know, circus folk. Small hands, smell like cabbage. -
Who makes the best coasters?
FlyingScooter replied to Gregory DG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Edward Vettle, also dead. -
i went to a restaurant last weekend and they couldn't give that stuff (Zero) away. I think the public, at least here in cleveland, is tired of all the Almost-Close-to-the-Real-thing's, but-no-cigar junk that keeps hitting the market.

Do you think there wil be another Star Wars?
FlyingScooter replied to coasterdude5's topic in Random, Random, Random
Yeah, I think they'll be an Ep VII. All the STAR Wars fans have to know: Did the Princess ever get to use Lukes Sabre? Does Han ever find a mate? '' same question for Chewy'' or does he pull an MJ and go for the younger Ewoks? Does everyone get fat and old w/out having a common enemy to keep them busy? ...The PEOPLE HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW! Flying(have never been a major SW fan)Scooter. -
yes, buffalos show their wings when you have enough liquor. What's a logflume ride w/out water?

It's like i heard some mother say when GL was 6FWOA: you best stop that whinin' or I's gonna take yo' azz on the F%$#^ng Serial thrilla! That'll shut that trap of yourz! -
The most *gasp* flat ride ever!
FlyingScooter replied to RctInfinity's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Ferris wheels. all of them. Anything that goes that high and moves that slow must be evil. If they break, far too much time to think before impact. -
The Flying Scooters, of course. What, is your Quest?

I just went to CP's site, TTD looks like it's running to me.

Look at the bright side: Thunderhead hardly ever breaks down. My family and friends usually buy cars brand spankin' new off the lot and they are almost guarenteed to break down at least 5x in their first year. they don't even go 300 feet and seldonm hit 120+ mph... everything breaks down. Eg Gluding m' dangggggggggggggggggggggggg k'board here attttttttt wrkkkkk. nnnnnuts.... t'retts oooof the k'brd!@##$$%#@!

This is unrelated: maybe. A couple of years ago, my daughter was 12 and played softball on a local summer league. Keep in mind, they had to have physicals before they could join the league. During one game in mid summer, a kid on an opposing team dropped dead of a heart attack right at the plate. The autopsy showed nothing. Death ended up being natural causes. The kid just died. no rhyme, no reason. It was horrible. I've never seen EMT's work so hard to save someone in my life. It's terrible, but sometimes death just happens. No blame...

Wood or Steel?
FlyingScooter replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
i like wood. steel is fine for speed and inversions, but, imo, wood is still better. There's something about the ricketyness (if there is such a word) and the way they smell on a muggy ohio night in mid august. It's kind of like the dodgems: nothing smells like 'em, and one whiff can always brings back great memories. call me old fashioned. -
Another 6 Flags shooting.
FlyingScooter replied to FlyingScooter's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I use to volunteer at a tuturoing center for court refered juvy's. This incident happened like ten years ago. One kid wound up in the courts by going to geauga lake with a handgun. the gun slid out of his pants when he was on the rotor. The op noticed it and kept the ride going til the cops got there... -

NEWS: Idlewild Opens New Log Flume
FlyingScooter replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That's nice to hear. I wish conneaut had the money to buy log flume from Americana. A Flume would fit nicely into conneaut's tree covered terrain. -
Michael Jackson Innocent or Guilty
FlyingScooter replied to BelizeIt's topic in Random, Random, Random
Did any of you see the video of him dangling a baby off a balcony? After having seen that, i think he could be guilty. As far as Welfare Fraud, that's so common it's pathetic. My daughter was on welfare for a bit, she used to go shopping with friends. She'd use her welfare card to buy the groceries, and they'd give her like 75 cents on the dollar for the food. That's fraud, too. Never mind that she needed the money to pay an electric bill, rent, or tampons.
