  1. Happy b-day: Chriszero, dsngiem, leesie, and nyrfan85!
  2. I just noticed this thread today. Since Robb opened the forums on this site, the one thing that has made it a pleasure to be here is the Lack of Flaming and fighting. I'd personally hate to see Robb put in the position to stop the forums, but if the headaches get too much, the plug will get pulled and that would be perfectly understandable. He hasn't said anything to this effect yet, but it would seen a logically order if banning people doesn't work. Let's not put him into this posiition. -Mark
  3. What is your first memory? Or When did you become self-aware? For me, i was about 5 yrs old. I was riding a big wheel in front of the house during the Indy 500. I stopped riding for a second, looked around, and realized i was alive. Yeah, i know it sounds odd, but before that, i have no memory of anything. My older sisters said nothing traumatic ever happened to me or anything.
  4. This is cool! toys: Mighty Mikes. Big Jim Sports Camper. (he was like an outdoorsy action fig.) I had this Tin Roller coaster toy. I can't remember the name of it, but i've seen it at antique stores going for 500.00 bucks. It had a wind-up lift hill and worked on gravity. circa 1967 Erector sets. lionel trains. Etch-a-Sketch Lego sets. Vertibird. it was a helicopter thing. gnip/gnop Lincoln Logs (the all wooden kind) many Tonka's. almost forgot: Speed Racer. i love it that they've released the original series on DVD's. An early Wire controlled Corvette. My dog hated it and trashed it. will add more later... good topic, Angry!
  5. That 'crazy flat-ride' looks like the Troika. They have one of those at CP. Nice report!
  6. yeah, i could see it now: A flying coaster called: Flying Monkeys of Doom! A carousel w/colour morphing horses. Imagine the spa they'd have. A rocket launch called: The Broomstick of Death! The list is endless. I think the park could work, but only in a place that already has high traffic. Like, say, Niagara falls, Pigeon Forge, Wisc Dells would do. I loved the WOO. If it's done right, It could be huge.
  7. This old fart remembers most if not all of them. My list pretty much mirrors Robbs. Loved those low-res quarter gobblers!
  8. ^^VR? LMAO... I'll pass on those pics. I mean, I'll skipp those.
  9. ^Robb, sounds like a good idea! ^^that's gotta hurt! I am petrified of needles. Heck, I almost fainted when i got my vasectomy.
  10. Nice TR, Ted! I caught this on your site, but couldn't comment there as i just joined and used my home email addy, (currently at work). Have a great trip and drink a Rolling Rock for me!
  11. ...and the band played on.....
  12. finger printing, biometric scanning, topographical imaging and other thing they come up with. Bottom line, any of those things are easy to get from anyone of us. For the most, getting your info/prints etc, is as easy as picking up your trash from in front of your house. DNA? no problem, that's in your trash too. Have a Cellphone? yep, they got you w/that too. These are th kind of things that can drive you nuts if you let it. Privacy? I'm not sure that's existed here in quite a while.
  13. Escaping animals! LOL, can they eat the peeps? Did they correct the bugs when it came to coasters that should fly off the tracks? (ie, boblsed, side frictions, etc)
  14. call me stingy, but i hate paying for parking. Anywhere. When they have events at the Cleveland IX center: the amusement park, Home and Garden Show, Auto show, you wind up paying 5-10 bucks. Somehow, that just doesn't seem right.
  15. http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail118.html maybe this is what happened....
  16. Very sorry to hear that. I've had several dogs, hamsters and about 50 gerbils that have passed over the decades. It never gets easier. Right now my dog of two years was diagnosed w/hip problems. It only seems to be a problem in the winter due to the cold weather. In summer, she is fine and full of life. With her, it was a birth defect. When she is in pain, and you can see it in her eyes, we give her an Ibupropen (sp?) which does the trick pretty good. Of course, she weighs 75 lbs, so medding her is easy. again, sorry to hear about that, elissa and robb. take care, Mark
  17. Great job, Hatt, as always! Good Bowling Report. hmmmmmm, BR? could also mean Beer Report.
  18. That's a problem alright. Has this ever happened to you before?
  19. Crucifiction of Truxall Annie: Bi-polar and the UP/DOWNS!
  20. Wow, it sort of looked like the StrongBad email: virus odd. seems to be okay now.
  21. Natural Born Killers Directors Cut! Awesome! Another Movie I'd reco: Fargo and one i was on IFC: SLC Punk!
  22. Too damn much! That's what i paid.
  23. Happy birthday Del, Glenn and moon!
  24. Man, any situation like that sucks. I've had guns pointed at me, and never did it cross my mind to grab another human for a shield. Never. What would i do if i were the cops? I have no clue. I wouldn'tknow unless i were in that situation. I hope i never am.
