What is the coolest coaster name?
FlyingScooter replied to Hilltopper39's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
i always thought the name: Tennessee Tornado was cool. -
Do you scream on the coasters?
FlyingScooter replied to mark.w's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
i scream, go nuts, have a blast. they are a great way to vent. -
Seeing as how Robb put the kabosch on the Paris Tilton, I will seriously redo my entry. It was Dolly Parton for DollyWoodie. It had dolly's body as the layout for the wood coaster. And yes, there was a tunnel, and we'll leave it at that. Flying(it would be too easy to abuse this contest and forget pg-13)Scooter.

This is beyond ridiculous. My heart goes out to all affected by this. Sadly, I fear that I've put out so much of my heart in the last 5 yrs that i'm serioulsy running out. I hope i never become appathetic to events like this.

What is your favorite genre of music?
FlyingScooter replied to SonOfBeastSucks's topic in Random, Random, Random
What, No Death Metal? lol (Cannibal Corpse, Christian Death) I pretty much like all kinds of music. IWhen it comes to playing, I lean toward New Age. This is because it is easy to program, play, process and record. -

We might go the 9th as well, depending on my daughters schedule: she's in marching band at school and they are always busy. We're hitting GL tonight. -

Pothole has always cracked me up. Pidido: (a car with only one working headlight. Wasn't sure how to spell that.) Name: Dick Van Dyke. (as far as i can remember, that name always busts me up. yeah, i suppose it's childish: what does a Dyke want to do with a Dick? -
My biggest enemy is myself. Nobody can get me into trouble worse than I can. Like the song says: It's in our nature to destroy ourselves.... If I'm not careful, I can and sometimes do create myself some major financial headaches. No one can mess me up worse than me. -Mark IBC

Honestly speaking: The roughest coaster i've ever been on is: Memphis Kiddie park's L'll Dipper. When i had to ride that thing when my kids were younger, I always came off it with major back pain. Even GL/SFWOA/GL Serial Thriller was cake compared to that.

It only happened to me at CLP on the Blue Streak. The ride ops were asleep at the levers when it came to a full stop. We slowed down, and went right thru the station.

^ ^^ sounds like the same thing when you dial 911 in cleveland. Usually about 30 times. -
First off, get a tricked out car. 15 yr old suburban girls love those, (at least that's what my 15 daughter and her friends say.) Speak with an accent, I suggest a french one, like in Holy Grail. Ever since the 'Freedom Fries' episode, you'll come off like a rebel. They love rebels. Say you like trance music, and like it loud. The rest will just happen. I think i've watched too much Strongbad... good luck.

I'm happy that I'll be taking my Nephew to GL this Saturday afternoon. He's 8 and he'll have his first floorless, inverted, suspended and tallest wood ride to date. His prev coasters: Blue STreak CLP and Little Dipper Memphis Kiddie Park. If he's okay with those, then He'll go with us to CP next month.

Who's your favorite band/singer?
FlyingScooter replied to coasterguy618's topic in Random, Random, Random
Rush is a classic. I saw them during their 'subdivisions' tour, (sorry, can't remember the LP name.) Outstanding. Neil Peart, awesome drummer! As far as vocals: Early Steve Perry (Journey) The lead vocalist for STyper was good. Anne and Nancy Wilson: Heart. (damn shame how the public treated them after they ditched the drugs and gained weight.) Pat Benetar: she kicked a$$. -
Yeah, I thought it was staged, too. My kids used to watch me play Tony Hawks Pro Skater on the PS1. They'd start laughing at me because they said it was funnier to watch me than the game. I guess I used to move my legs and feet like I was riding the board when i was on the couch.
