If I do get another system, it will be the PS3. These days i pretty much stay with computer games. If i want a bigger screen, I merely patch it to my TV.

And next week on the Discovery Channel: Disney gets invaded by all the Little Lincolns!

Geauga Lake Discussion ThreadFlyingScooter replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Pettibone's getting wider. My girlfriends mom lives on it and is losing about 25 feet off her front yard. I love Signature. lol Modest Living starting at only 350,000. The other Aurora rd project is, last I heard, another mall where the horse track used to be. God knows, if GL gets sold, goes under, whatever, they'll just build another mall, a CVS or a Walgreens. Maybe a Home Depot.

Well, 200k is 1/10th their debt. If they get it, i would hope they get the Bug running again. Sure, it would help the park, but only if it's managed right. That money could get them a couple of rides from http://www.italintl.com/usdride.htm . It would be nice to retrack the BlueStreak and run the NAD's. I much prefered those trains to the classics. I'll keep optimistic about the park, but last summer when we were there we saw many things that bothered us.

Geauga Lake Discussion ThreadFlyingScooter replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Right across from the park, they put in a mall. scattered around the mall is a Ruby Tuesdays, Bob Evans, TGIF (i think), a Carrabra's, and a couple of others. Now if the park would put in a Great Lakes Brewery franchaise, that would be cool. I could see it on the old SeaWorld side, over looking the lake. Huge outdoor bar... damn, now i'm thirsty.

Mud. I expect lots of mud when i go to a carnival. Bad food stalls, where you have to walk thru about 6 inch deep mud to reach. rides that sink into the mud... In cleveland, it always rains during carnivals. Mud...

Kennywood (KW) Discussion ThreadFlyingScooter replied to DenDen's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! ^ the 'bad season' comment was in referance to the title of the thread: ...the same day they announce lay-offs.

Geauga Lake Discussion ThreadFlyingScooter replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! I may be wrong here, but I know the GL area fairly well. I think there's a TGIF right across the street from the GL. If not there, than a half mile down the road. Aurora road aka RT 43 has no lack of restaurants, which is why Pizza hut did not do well there (there already is one, about 1 mile away where the food was priced normal.) In close proximity to the park, there must be at least 15 places to eat. I don't see where food would help GL at all.
