  1. Just went to the doctor's today and got... height measured? 5'7" -Justin "I was 5'4" in 2003, woop, 3inches in 2years is a huge growth!"
  2. Lmao Gregg! What a great post... I dont know if I can think of TEN things that I hate about people but here are some of the main things that I hate about what people do... - When people piss in a public pool and they think its funny but you have to get stuck with the fact that you're swimming in their urine. - When you're talking to someone and they have to give you EVERY SINGLE DETAIL!!! "Well I'll tell you how I got in this car accident, first of all I was sitting in a car on the red light, well the guy next to me had a hat on and he was wearing shorts, his car was a blue chevy and it was big... blah blah blah..." For God's Sake, I dont care! - When your at a grocery store and you see old ladies going to check out and they're like hehehe where do I check out at!? And the light is turned on right in front of them, or if they ask "are you guys open?" No mam, we're not open, we're just standing at the register for fun. - At the movies, when a whole bunch of little kids start coming in and they crack up and laugh through the entire movie and you cant hear a damn thing, you feel like yelling "Shut The Heck up!!!!" - And last off... just really really stupid people in general. -Justin "Yes, alot of things aggrivate me"
  3. The X-Scream Swing? Uh no... same opinions for the Equalizer too. Though the other names sounded pretty cheesy and goofy, I still picked the Pitsburgh Pendelum. I love it when parks rely on the GP to vote for their attractions name, its always good fun -Justin "who can just imagine riding the EQUALIZZZZEEER!"
  4. Wow! This park really sounds amazing and like a place I want to visit (maybe someday? I mean I haven't even got to the Knoebel's of America!) The obstacle course looks/sounds insane, Im surprised they had all the cool stuff that they had there, it kindof reminded me of something you would find at a camp or child's play area, which is cool I guess.. The S&S/Arrow Woodie looks cool, the tunnel is neat how it has the shadow smashed of the guy going in, and it might be one of their better wooden coasters... Glad you guys are having fun, keep the updates comin'! -Justin "Who wants a Denmark chick too"
  5. Great Photos and TR's guys! I'm glad you guys are continuing to have a great time, it sounds like alot of fun, and all of the parks are looking wonderful. Walibi World looks fun, and I can see why Joey and Dan dont understand why they made more of them after that! Great video also, I can now see why Typhoon looks alot more like Volcano, the heartline rolls are nice and smooth and go over it at a fairly slow speed, but yet being at a fast inclined speed (MUCH like Volcano). Keeping having a great time, everything sounds and looks great! -Justin "Elissa Im sorry they outdid you on the Bonfante Garden spinning clone!!!"
  6. Wow! I was gone from the computer for a week and I come back to TRP and find that you guys are already in Europe! Anyways, sorry I missed out on all the fun TR's but reading them made me glad you guys were having a good time! Europe looks really awesome and I can't wait to get there (someday? hopefully!) and your photos are giving great examples of the parks and such. It's weird to see all the "walibi world" photos and stuff like that considering that I'm so use to it being SF. I dont know how the SLC was at Walibi Belgium before it was ran by SF so I was wondering if maybe when they bought out the prak they might have treated it better? Although I noticed theres been a few SLCs I actually dont mind at all (the one at Astroworld wasn't as terrible as some of the others and I like Hangman at Wild Adventures). The more I see of that park the more fun it actually looks (considering what I always saw of the park didn't look like much was there, it actually looks half decent). I wish I could ride the bumper cars there, surprisingly Cypress Gardens had AMAZING bumpers when it first opened, they flew everywhere and they didn't get too mad when you did head on collusions, now they seem to be a bit more "strict" about it. For Bobbajaanland, hearing that they have a ride there that resembles Volcano made me want to go there immidiately! Anything that equals to Volcano must be amazing. Reading all the replies you put of ghost and the park were hilarious, and the water rapids looked insane! (just a question) is that kindof like the same one thats at Wild Adventures? I know they were showing this ride off at IAAPA and I thought that might be the same kind, but this looks allitle more resembling to it. Everything looks and sounds great so far guys, sorry I was late on replying to your trip, but hey I replied! BTW: multimueller nice group photo at Bobeqwel;r5jqffland, and Maverick_be nice photos! They turned out great! -Justin "who likes reading the TR's more than viewing the photos"
  7. Rum & Tum? *goes and runs away from the stupid comment mentioned above from thinking of a random comment* -Justin
  8. You Rule!!! Volcano is my favorite steel (obviously) then after that I've tend to find out that I really dont have a top ten, just enjoy certain ones as my favorite... Volcano, Wicked Twister, Dueling Dragons, Hulk, Kumba, Montu, Raptor, Rock 'n' Rollercoaster, Revenge of the Mummy, Magnum XL-200, Apollo's Chariot, Goliath (SFoG), Mr. Freeze -Justin
  9. As much as I dont mind wooden Coasters, I would rather be flipped around, inverted upsidedown, and spinning out of control (you can put me down for a nice Intamin, or B&M coaster any day and I would be fine without getting off!). Although I really dont care for woodies too much actually, theres a few out there I like so far... but I haven't really ridden any of the amazing ones (or from what I hear are amazing) Raven, Ghostrider, Shivering Timbers, etc.. etc.. So I'd have to say my vote goes to the steel -Justin
  10. Wow! It sounds like you guys are really fitting alot in, sounds like an insane trip to me. (But hey, you guys are the Alveys, so everything is pretty much insane!) Glad to hear you guys are getting alot in! SheiKra sounds way awesome and I cant wait to ride it (If I ever get to BGT!). I'm not surprised that it resembles alot of SUF's ride experience, It looked amazing but in some ways it looked like some parts would just be alright, Cant judge the ride before I ride it though. I'm glad you liked Crush N' Gusher, its been like 9years since I've been to Typhoon Lagoon, and I dont really know much about the ride (or the park for that matter). Also sounds like you covered almost everything (thats good anyways) at Universal Resort! Always fun going there because they have rides you can ride continuously and NOT get tired of. Well I guess I'm off to Epcot to meet up... I guess I'll see everyone later... Hope you guys have a great rest of the time down here as you already have! -Justin "I've missed out WAY too many fun TR's on the boards"
  11. Checked out my schedule... got nothing planned for now... (And I'll keep it clear for now) so go ahead and count me on in, I should be able to make it. If anything should to come up I'll contact you ASAP, but for now go ahead and put me down as this sounds really awesome! -Justin "yay! food, rides, and things that spin"
  12. Great video guys! I thought the whole sloping transfer thing was really neat, it took me a couple of views to actually get this ride, I wasn't really sure what to expect, I was viewing the side transfer effect as going forward for some reason and was really confused because I saw the track facing the opposite direction I also was "WTF"ed by the little blue pool splashdown thing on the 2nd drop from the lifthill, I didn't get it until Mark told me the effect wasn't working for yall haha. -Justin "I want to ride that, it looks really neat!"
  13. It was suppose to open in may if I remember correctly, but I haven't been around the park to check the progress out in a LONG time. My guesses are that its either started construction or the pieces arive in May and thats when they start assembling it though. I mean I drive by the park everyday and I dont see anything new, but a wild mouse coaster to stick up out of the woods would be pretty hard to see visible, especially since a wild mouse isn't that high (well I guess none of the other coasters at cypress are high either lol). -Justin (Oh yeah, Cypress Gardens website added some news to page but they havent updated their website in FOREVER!) http://www.CypressGardens.com/
  14. I haven't even rode it yet so I cant say if its something I like or not.. I thought it looked good though. I know for sure though that is sad to see a classic wooden coaster such as itself to get torn down, so seeing it be replaced to another park is always cool -Justin
  15. Hey Derek, Good trip report, I enjoyed reading all about it and viewing the photos... sounded like you had alot of fun there. I got to visit the park last year around the time the hurricanes came through here, and we got in free parking and free admission, it was cool... although it was so crowded the only thing I really got to ride was Top Gun and a few other coasters.. Those new designs on the flyers are neat, though I'm not really the biggest fan of those rides... because there nothing special to me? -Justin "P.S. - nice icon, it matches the picture on your phone lol"
  16. arrrgh! I wish I could have made it. I signed up an account really easily but was at my grandparents and their internet connection was bad, until it finally shut off and kicked me offline :annoyed: *insert stupid AOL! face here* When you said game night I didn't actually know your definition of night was 1 in the afternoon (BTW Elissa, sorry about that earlier when it kicked me out as soon as I got your invitation, like I said, my papa's computer was acting up). Anyways.. maybe I can make the next one! -Justin
  17. Awww man! Having an effect of living halfway across the country might be a problem eh? Sounds like you guys are going to have alot of fun! And thats a really nice thing to do for everyone! Hope the party turns out good! -Justin
  18. I really liked/like Six Flags over Georgia's atmosphere. I think its amazing. I dont know why, but theres something to that six flags park that makes it seem different than the others (although it is very similiar to SFoT, theres a few things I notice at the park that makes me like it alot) I also visited SFFT and SFoT last year and have to say they were both really nice, I was surprised how pretty SFFT was and the setting and landscaping the park had. -Justin "At least theres 3 good Six Flags parks out there!"
  19. I dont know what to say about SheiKra, I mean I always thought it would be cool but from the looks of the video and the artwork I didn't ever think the ride would be "intense" but more of fun. I dont really think it will be the next silver bullet, it will probably be allitle more intense than that (well I haven't rode Silver Bullet but from what I hear is, its not the biggest G-Force machine) but the ride definately doesn't have alot to it. I was also surprised by the long amount of time it takes to drop, when they said 10seconds I didn't know 10seconds would be making it all the way around that turnover. Is it going to go that slow all the time or is that just a testing issue. I would have thought that it would have moved around the turn nice and fast then stop and held for 10seconds, but the ride kindof more "tries not to drop" and never really comes to a complete stop. Well however it goes, this probably wasn't meant to be one of their greatest coasters, probably more of an upgrade from the previous Dive Machines? -Justin "I really thought the inversion would be a HANGOVER and not even go as fast as it does, over it"
  20. Wow thats messed up looking... I guess I might try it out, I'm not the biggest TOGO fan, but I haven't rode any of their good stuff yet.. -Justin "One Ultra-Twister is almost one too many!"
  21. Sounds Crunchay to me! I really love Wendy's, their food is decent and CHEAP!!! I always go there when I go to Cypress and dont have alot of money with me. Drive across the street, and get me a nice $3 meal (a jr. cheeseburger deluxe, a drink, and some fries, or a crispy chicken nuggets). IMO, this would be an awesome addition to add to the menu! "Human Fingers: 99c" now serving! -Justin "who is not a cannibal but LOVES cheap food thats good!"
  22. Great, We could use a new wooden coaster here in Cypress especially. Wild Adventures comes closer to having cheetah, so it wouldn't hurt to send that down here, giving us a nice wooden coaster for a change. But then again, he's always gave WA the advantage over our attractions, seeing that he sent two screamin swings' to Wild Adventures you could almost guess he might put two of the same types of wooden coasters in one park. -Justin "we really need something at cypress!!"
  23. Ah, Id be there if I could, but unfortinutely Im way too far away from California, and wouldn't be able to make it even if I could fly out Maybe I can see some of the special olympics over here sometime, I know they have a game about 30minutes away from where I live, every year they put the competetion because a kid at my parents church won the bike race last year. -Justin
  24. You shouldn't have to apolojize for liking something, Your favorite coaster is your favorite coaster, its all about opinion my friend! -Justin "who isn't really a big Kraken friend, but if its someone's favorite thats cool!"
  25. Exactly, I dont see why people get all onto Intamin for some of the incidents that have been happening on their rides, like Superman for example. The guy that flew off and died on that everyone blamed Intamin "They made the restraints wrong, terrible engineers!!!... They dont calculate rides right, im never riding one of their rides again!" This was a mistake made by the park, and now Ive noticed that alot of the Intamin rides (even unlooping coasters) have OTSRs, and thats not their fault, because a ride op made a careless mistake of not checking the lap bar correctly was his fault, not Intamins. But because of an accident or incident(s) on an attraction/coaster wont change my opinions on them. But thats not what this topic is about, its the infamous B&M/Intamin battle, and if I had to choose between one I dont know if I could. I love so many of the B&M attractions like Dueling Dragons, Hulk, Kumba, Montu, Batman the Ride, and the list just continues. On the other hand Intamin makes mainly their good hypercoaster, but they are the manufactuer of my favorite coaster -Justin "who loves both B&M and Intamin"
