Really? Weird..I rode it 3 times on the second to last day of operation and it was completely painless all 3 times. Wonder why such a different experience. Guess it doesn't matter anymore

^ Everyone likes to rip on SFMM for that, and it's not unfounded, but going on a lighter day does matter on the whole. On Riddler's, Revolution, SEFK, and a couple others you do get screwed by the 1 train operation (Especially Riddler's), but on stuff like Green Lantern, Lex Luthor, Tatsu, and X2, there can be extremely long waits on busy days even with full operations.

Sundays are almost always better than Saturdays. Of those days, I'd choose 12/2.

I'll have to redo this when I have a chance to travel east, but given the California parks I've been to: 1: X (SFMM, I actually prefer the old cars) 2: Superman: Ultimate Flight (SFDK) 3: Giant Dipper (SCBB) 4: Demon (CGA) 5: Tatsu (SFMM) 6: Flight Deck (CGA) 7: Apocalypse (SFMM) 8: Colossus Backwards (SFMM) 9: Riddler's Revenge (SFMM) 10: Kong (SFDK..yes, seriously, Kong!) Honorable mentions: Medusa, Goliath (SFMM), California Screamin. If I had the opportunity to ride it I am positive that Starry Sky Ripper/Sky Scrapper would easily make #2 on my list. I hope to visit Cedar Point and/or SFGAdv some time next year so hopefully this list will get some more variety.

I love S&S so much! The magnetic 4D, launched 4D, the free fly, the polar coaster..all incredible! Hope to see some of those in the near future..I think the magnetic 4D and the polar probably have the best shot. Just like he said the free fly is the best concept but yeah the capacity really has to be better. Between S&S and RMC I really look forward to having my brains scrambled!

But then those are Vekomas. I would like if SFDK replaced their Vekoma Boomerang with a model such as this. It's a good design for a parks like SFDK and SDC.

Well sure, thats why I said "traditional looking chain lift" I understand its just a concept video, but surely if they were using something like a catch car that would be shown..Im wondering if it will be a chain that lowers or a gear that lets go...

Back track was interesting..wondering what mechanics are involved with having a train travel up the chain lift and then roll backwards, since from the video it looks like theyre using traditional (looking) chain lifts rather than catch-cars.

Man I would really like to go on that Texas/Midwest trip if I can scare up enough cash. That trip would clear a significant portion of my bucket list, and it's probably the only way I'll go to the Texas parks that I wouldn't otherwise travel to on their own.

S&S: What do you think is the main reason that there have there so far been only three of your 4-Dimensional coasters built (Including X/X2 which I know was built by Arrow before S&S purchased it). I personally think they make for some of the most unique experiences on a roller coaster (And X2 continues to produce ~2hr queues on many days 10+ years after being built, which is pretty remarkable), so I wonder if it is the build cost, or is it just something that parks either don't request or aren't familiar with?

Yep. This is (basically) L.A. here, gimmicks sell.

^ I'm definitely going to make a visit on one of the first Sundays in December (probably the 2nd or 9th)..I have the same rule, I pretty much avoid both Fridays and Saturdays.
