This is amazing. Wildebeest was my favorite thing about the park given how hot it can got there, short season or not. I chose the water park, Wildebeest and the very interesting Pilgrim's Plunge over the heat and rough wooden coasters. With that raft design, this will for sure be a totally different experience. I think this, plus Timberliners, will be fantastic for 2012. The thought being that the Timberliners will rejuvenate Voyage to the point of making it feel like a new coaster again.

Curious as to where Mack comes into play? Blue Fire isn't known as a thrilling machine. All that's left are pointless e-motion coasters, good water coasters, good wild mice and powered stuff. Agree that nothing is certain. Can't wait to see what this is going to be -

Which gigas are hit or miss? There are only three in the world. The two in North America are quite awesome, intense and memorable. They also offer a totally different experience compared to other megas and dive machines, agreed there. Therefore it would be a great addition if we are so lucky -

No problem! I think it'll be cool and hopefully Bash worthy ^There were also lots of disclaimers that it was a fan video. At least that's what gives me hope as an Intamin fan boy lol Nothing confirmed officially in terms of announcement date or what this will be. Four weeks is the best info we have (thanks Cedarfair1!) -

^^Elissa, I think the general consensus is that no one has any idea. It's too soon to tell from work done already. There are a ton of rumours with no basis so really, no strong rumour has come ahead of the pack. They've covered everything from an Intamin terrain with inversions or an Intamin launched to a B&M flyer, dive machine or floorless. Even a giga came into the mix at one point. See, I think we have all of the bases covered so that at least one person can claim that they were right -

^Funny, that has not entered the discussion as of yet on here or on cwmania. It doesn't seem that way. Nick and CedarFair1 would probably have a better idea based on the latest since they've had the most interaction with everything going on so far. I personally hope not anyways, it's still fun and a great starter coaster. -

^^^This is my concern as well. Above all, I think this is a fantastic thing! Based on Facebook reaction, it could be priced just right. The problem with keeping it in house is that they're not benefitting from the expertise and proven systems that electronic queing systems have. Without a timing factor, there is no semblance of control over how long each line could get if most go to the same line at the same time. Hopefully, a longer line will cause fast pass holders to go to another ride instead of wait again to re-ride. -

Was that the standup? I was so happy that there weren't many people in line when I was there cutting in front haha Let's not forget about Superman at Great Adventure when no attendant is there. I'm sure KD/ CF will have all the logistics worked out. They've had years to watch others and learn...one would hope. -

The new Cedar Fair COO and soon to be CEO was up checking out the park, construction site and show on Tuesday. Things seem to be moving quickly, almost reminiscent of when all the transfer station parts started arriving for Behemoth. of course no footers yet since a lake and existing ride aren't involved, that we know of yet -
Theme Park Review in JAPAN! 2011
rollin_n_coastin replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The pictures are incredible. I can't even imagine how amazing the place must look in person. I need to start working a future TPR Japan trip into the plans. -
Can I vote for none? (Intamin or any drop tower) LoL The one that freaked me out the most was Fritt Fall (floorless stand up tilting car) at Grona Lund. Let's face it, that car doesn't exactly tilt gracefully up there. What added to the terror was Elissa telling me that I was going to crap my pants just as it started going up. I don't really remember much after that.

The theming on Dragon Mountain that was actually in early brochures (Niagara Falls/waterfall and the volcano). Just a few more years -
Which I wouldn't be surprised if you see the park retro-fit the ride with the i305 style trains. I really hope not, but wouldn't be surprised either. Imagine that just to still not be particularly safe for someone with no legs to ride. At least one of the recent channel 7 articles said that officials don't think mechanical error was a factor. Condolences to this soldier's family for sure. It is horrible. With this and Morey's, I guess it'll come down to what a proper balance between the park's reasonable duty of care is vs. personal responsibility. I've always felt that more weight should apply to personal responsibility, but it seems it is a common reaction to blame others entirely at first.

Divv, thanks for taking us along for the ride! Great TR as always. I'm really going to miss not being on a trip this year. This trip was full of so much awesome. The fun was relentless and not just limited to the parks. Definitely a trip I'll always remember. BTW, if only you pointed your a$$ the right way, we could have found out what time it was. -

It's so true, that there's something new discovered in everyone's report! There seems to be tons of stuff that I completely missed anyway. I have to say, it's like some bravery force takes us over on TPR trips. I've done things that I've never thought possible. I think the City Museum is the pinnacle of it all. It was so hot that day and we were all verging on nasty, but it just didn't seem to matter so long as we could climb through another iron structure over the city, ride the roof-top ferris wheel again or crawl/ climb into into some very claustrophobic space to see where we could end up. Loved every minute of it! -

Awesome Chuck! Totally agree with your rankings of Six Flags Parks. I have to say, the two Texas parks, along with SFoG, really are quite special. New England had a similar vibe but falls behind after experiencing the goodness that Six Flags had hidden in the South. Who knew? Aside from NTG, loved La Vibora and Mind Bender. Thanks for the pics! -
And some at Behemoth Bash will remember the TPR takeover of the exact same ride! Nope! It’s still fun and looks great. On it’s worst day, it’s at least a great train ride through the water park. I must respectfully disagree. "That was the first ride where I could actually feel my balls clacking together like a Newton's cradle." --Robb, on Minebuster LOL I should qualify those - the mine train went around at least 6 times before we could get off of it in Denmark. TPR takeover of the Wonderland one would have been awesome. I missed that and the waterpark takeover since I had to leave after trivia. Amazing what three years can do in terms of changing Minebuster to something smooth. But that day, Robb's quote is not only the best quote ever, but pretty much spot on.
