Ah, I guess when friends were in town and wanted to ride the "coaster where your feet hang" at Canada's Wonderland on a summer weekday. This translated into just about a three hour wait for Flight Deck, the SLC. A close second is Sky Rider, which takes forever no matter how long the line at since the loading/ unloading is extremely slow on those stand ups.

Olympia Looping if only for the complexity of the thing. But in terms of forces, Doppel Loopers for sure. -
Favorite type of B&M Coaster?

Love their loopers -- sitting or floorless -
Oh come now, at least Busch has the best cheese music of them all that would totally make the climb up worth it. Listen to how great the banjo music in the France section works I actually really wouldn't mind trying this one out as the theme and experience seems like it would remove some of the terror knowing that it'll be about to drop...kind of like the one at Morey's.

Ah, but did you try the Krispy Kreme bacon cheeseburger? ^When they profiled this on the news, it's the cola syrup that they deep fry. Think of it as adding cola flavor to a funnel cake, if that makes sense? I still have so many mixed feelings about the Ex. The midway seems to have become worse over the years, especially since Conklin is no longer around. I really miss the Dopple Looper, the Blauer Enzian over two pools of water, the Wild Cat coasters (Wild Cat and Mark IV??) and some of the crazy old school rides. They seem to only change one ride each year but otherwise keep it the same. With the exception of the Zipper and Fire Ball loop, everything is quite generic for a fair of this size and scope. On the other hand, the food, showcases, air show and competitions are always full value.

*Bump* About next year, I couldn't be happier for the park to finally be getting some sort of thrill ride in this package. I love Great Adventure but to a point. Once you ride Toro, Nitro, Ka and the other coasters a few times, what else is there really to do? I find a lot of time in a day is eaten up by walking in between the coasters. Variety is good, especially for those who don't ride coasters, or at least big ones. I wish the Star Flyer was the taller version but hey, it is something that they desperately need regardless. Maybe in another year we'll see a drop ride off the back of Ka's Tower?

It is definitely interesting reading comments to the tune of a new attraction being "excessive", or that it isn't "deserved" so soon or that people just don't 'get it'. It's enough to make management ride a padded yellow bus to the hospital. What is it that will make enthusiasts happy? I'm the first to eat a huge helping of humble pie and tasty crow for all my predictions being completely wrong because look how "badly" it turned out? It's only "another" B&M mega that is "exactly" the same as Behemoth. So yah the track record: Intamin? Nope. Dragon? Nope. Launch? Nope. Dive Machine? GG Woody? Nope. I could go on. Good job me. I'm of the camp that this is as similar to Behemoth as having more than one wooden coaster in the park, which are also always 'exactly' the same and don't loop. In all honesty, I really thought that the trains would differentiate it even more from Behemoth than it already is. But then, would I sacrifice the awesomeness of having only a lap bar for something over-the-shoulders that would be on a wing rider train or floorless train on this layout? I'm not so sure. Also keep in mind that Leviathan was designed as a speed machine first and foremost. So basically, if you love Millennium Force, you will most likely love this ride! I promise that I'll be done being facetious after this, but it's a good thing that we have the exact same coaster, called Behemoth, on the other side of the park for those looking for a bit of variety in terms of great airtime. A cadillac of a looper, flyer or launched would have been amazing, but we already have those too and I don't think the GP would differentiate between them any more than they would between Behemoth and Leviathan. -

Hey everybody! Wow, a week has passed and true to form, it looks like posts will be modest compared to last week, up until we see vertical construction. Here are two videos from CityTV Day at the park last Thursday: First up, Dineen, the park's spokesperson, tells TPR a bit about Leviathan. Removing the effort of keeping this monster hidden for the past few years I'm sure has led to a huge sigh of relief and pure excitement for 2012! Next up is Jennifer Valentine's Live Eye footage from Breakfast Television showing off the official announcement and all the fun challenges involved with a live morning show shoot It also provides a look at Wild Beast, a show in Medieval Fair and Drop Tower. The only media outlet present was CityTV for their promo day at the park. TPR and CW's official site, CWMania were invited to attend the morning Breakfast Television shoot, enhancing the focus of the campaign, which was primarily online. It seemed to be quite effective in creating buzz within the park's fan and enthusiast base. Other media outlets picked up details from the official website, press release and through the park's PR department throughout the day. A huge thanks again to Dineen, Dave, Lindsey and Breakfast Television for letting us enthusiasts tag along for a fantastic morning! All that you do for the enthusiast community is very much appreciated! -

Nope, nothing is being removed, which is a great thing. Leviathan is taller than the attractions there so it is just built over Dragon Fire and everything in its way. The station and lift are adjacent to Speed City so it doesn't interact with that attraction. To get some scale, the first hill is taller than Top Gun/Flight Deck, also at the front of the park on the southeast side. -

This is perhaps the best thing to come out of this ride being built! How about that launch? You know, with a soon to be infamous B&M cable? -

I heard it's going to have a wooden loop. Wow, just got in and what a crazy few pages. Glad Canadians were able to make peace....as usual.... Elissa, I'm loving the aqua trax idea! Very fitting! I'm really hoping that this will have something unique either in the layout and/ or trains. I guess the worst that could happen is it being referred to as Blue Behemoth? Nick, Tim Hortons and back bacon for breakfast? Just a few hours left! -
Really looking forward to Verbolten! Regardless of what ride system goes into the old BBW site, a huge part of the charm of BBW was its setting. This should be a great replacement. If Mack can build something great like Blue Fire I'm sure Zierer can up their small family coasters into a large scale attraction that meets Busch standards, ignoring that Drachen Fire thingy Can't wait to hear about Mach Tower! I'll probably too chicken to ride it but really interested to hear what happens up at top.

This coaster just proves that we shouldn't be leery about B&M doing anything (within reason in the realm of reality). I'm sure many of us have been told to be leery of thinking that B&M would ever go over the fantasy threshold of 230', which may have applied at one time over a decade ago. Companies change with the times to stay relevant and B&M has proven that they're still very relevant with all the cool stuff they've been doing over the past year and moving forward. At this point, I wouldn't put anything past them for future designs, including launches, which is awesome stuff. They're one of the only companies left not using launches as far as I know? -

Nah, it'll make the park a lot more popular . It's a dream scenario really. We'll be happy for a very long time and lines should be consistently busy for both mega structures during peak summer months. The line problems are essentially with the smaller coasters so the non-dare devils who feel like passing out when they just look at Behemoth will hopefully enjoy slightly shorter lines. -

This, Hershey and Dollywood. The holy coaster trinity trip 2012. I can't wait! I think Thursday's announcement is going to be amazing just to see what B&M has up its sleeve for layout and train design. There's still a lot to find out! I was thinking the exact same thing about Piers. I think there will be a bar up top serving beer before heading down....
