Hello everyone and welcome to my newest photo TR. This one is about the "Rheinkirmes Düsseldorf" one of the biggest fairs in Germany with about 5 million visitors in 9 days, which makes it have a higher number of visitors per day then the Octoberfest in Munich. I visited the Rheinkirmes last Thursday for around 4,5 hours which was in my opinion a little short but it was enough time to do a lap and ride everything I wanted. It was rainy the whole evening so the pictures aren't the best and I'm a bad photographer, which makes it even worse :? Enough said now onto the pics: The last photo is also my favorite one. The "Skater". I hope you enjoyed my TR and I hope to get many comments, not like in my last Photo TRs^^ Everywhere lights and action. Normally the bigger tower in the backgroung is blue lighted as well but my camera isn't the best^^ I love riding coasters at fairs in the dark^^ "Chaos" and "PT2", unfortunately a bit blurry (BTW I took all those photos with my mobile phone) Tha apocalayptical "Power Tower 2"^^ The "Big Monster" "Pirates Adventure" a nice Walk through. A disadvantage is the 4€ entrance fee. The "Alpina Bahn" reminded me a bit of Goliath in WW. It hast really good airtime on a few hills and it even has one of those EGF-Flips, which Goliath has 2 times. One of the three trains, that operated and the 4th in storage. One advantage on fairs is, that there are never big queue lines. The first drop really kicks ass! I'm glad that there isn't the Euro Star this year in Düsseldorf! The "Alpina Bahn", an old Schwarzkopf non inverting sitdown rollercoaster. The "Happy Sailor" and in the background you can suspect the 2nd real reason for my visit. Yay we are still in Germany, where everybody wears Lederhosen and eats Sauerkraut^^ The "Shake and Roll" and the 3rd coaster the "Wilde Maus"(= wild mouse^^) The huge star World animatronic (also with fire effects) and the "Frisbee". The "Star World" a spinning indoor dark ride coaster with fire effects. The actual ride isn't as cool as it looks from the outside. The Imperator was a little disapointing, because the ride programe was pretty short and I expected a little more. But it was a totally new feeling to ride that. Another shot of the "Bellevue". The "Bellevue" ferris wheel and the Imperator, which was the real reason for the visit. The "Disk'o" was a new ride for me. The ride was fun but the recomandation wasn't really recomanding, so there were only a few people who wanted to ride. Sad for a (nearly) brand new ride. I really like that picture^^ The Grandma looks so cool even with those angry Zombies in the background, which attacked her just after I took the photo^^ "Spinning Racers" first drop. This coaster is IMO a lot of fun and it's a shame I didn't got to ride it this year. The "spinning Racer", one of the four coasters of this fair, but I didn't ride it today because of my limited budget^^ The "PT2" and "The real Nessy". Idon't know why but I think this picture has something apocalyptical in it^^ The "Skater" in action. The "Power Tower2" and a few other attractions from one side of the fair Directly besides the Techno Power was the log flume, which I didn't ride that day because the weather was already wet enough and I did it in the last years. It really kicks ass! The first thing you see after enternig the fair: Techno Power. The name already tells you, that the music sucks but the ride is pretty cool. That's the first attraction I ever felt sick after a ride^^

Tripreport Efteling
roeterich replied to DutchCoasterFan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Nice pics, especially the one with the woman standing in the rapid ride. That reminded me of my trip about 2 months ago (Photo TR in the archive) when we were stuck at exactly this place for around 10mins or so until another boat bumped into ours^^ Efteling is really a nice place and I definitely will visit it again after the new water-coaster opened. -

WTR (Warped Tour Report): July 7 Marysville CA (photos)
roeterich replied to SLUSHIE's topic in Random, Random, Random
WOW thanks for this "WTR"! It's good to see that here are some people with a good taste of music . The line up looked fantastic, even if the one from Denver looks a bit better^^ Maybe I get to a bigger festival in Belgium where I get to see Mxpx, Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte and lots of other good bands. I would love to see more of those festival trip reports especially of the warped tour because the bands that play there don't play many shows in Europe. OMG That looks incredible! I never rode any B&M so far so it is really great that there are building one 50 minutes from my home^^ It really sounds like a bigger version of Nemesis because of the line that says there are going to be waterfalls and canyons. now I am really looking forward to the next year and especially to visiting Phantasialand! BTW here is the same update, artworks and information on English: http://www.coastersandmore.de/previews/blackmamba/blackmamba.shtml Sebastian"really happy right now"Rötten -

Thanks for the new update and all the great new photos. Of course I directly downloaded the "Abnormal Boomerang" video and all I can say is: Okay it isn't that screwed up^^ It isn't really normal either but I didn't found it very special What do you expect from an old Vekoma it's no real surprise that the brakes don't work properly after a few years -

WOW thanks for all the great pics and your comments. I hope to see you in Toverland on Saturday but I do have some little problems with my fellow. He can't come because his aunt got a baby and so he has to go to visit her. Is here anybody who'll spend the whole day at Toverland on Saturday and wants to meet up with me? Otherwise I have to see if I find someone else -
Yes! about 2 Weeks ago the last time. Are the americans to stupid to build proper formula 1 courses ore are the french to stupid to construct proper tires?

LOL! It looks like you live in a VERY boring area^^ But thanks for the not-so-normal TR

What are your TOP TEN COASTERS
roeterich replied to ddaver177's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
1. EGF (Holiday Park) 2. Goliath (Walibi World) 3. Colossos (Heide Park Soltau) 4. Vogel Rok (De Efteling) 5. Winja's (Phantasialand) 6. Loup Garou (Walibi Belgium) 7. Eurostar (Traveling) 8. BTM (DLP) 9. Turbine (Walibi Belgium) 10.Robin Hood (Walibi World) -
So last Friday I visited De Efteling for the first time ever (No! Actually I've been there once 15 years ago but I can't remember^^) and I had a lot of fun in a not-so-crowded De Efteling. First we wanted to visit Phantasialand but it was a German holiday and the weather was beautiful (nearly 90°) so we decided to visit De Efteling. As we entered the parking lot at 10am there were only about 70 cars but there were lots of school classes. But the most attraction were walk-ons except the Bobsled (45mins) and Python (30mins). I liked all of the attractions even Python, which was smoother than I expected. I didn't took many photos because my batteries were nearly empty. I took all my photos with my cell-phone and I remembered to put it on the charger the day before but I didn't remember to plug the charger in the socket^^ So first a few ride reviews of rides, which I didn't take photos from. Pegasus: Pegasus was a very small woodie. It was a small let down because it's really a family coaster and it was right next to the construction site for the new water coaster. Carnaval Festival: Carnaval Festival is very similar to Disney's "It's a small world" (IMO) The soundtrack is really annoying after a few times you heard it^^ Droomvlucht: Droomvlucht was the biggest surprise for me. I liked the whole ride especially the end because that is something I've never seen before. PandaDroom: At first I thought that I wouldn't like PandaDroom because I don't understand Dutch but later as I recognized that there wasn't anything in Dutch in the movie I really liked it. The last effect was really surprising because I didn't realized what was really happening and what was in the movie^^ Hm okay here are the photos I took: The last pic of the day: Fata Morgana from the other side of the lake. Another shot of the "Bobbaan". La Villa Volta. A really cool mad house even if I didn't understand anything of the story^^ "Vogel Rok" was in my opinion the best coaster of the park. The effects and the soundtrack are really cool. The construction site of the new water coaster for 2006. The new restaurant seemed to be almost ready. "Python" which was more fun than I expected. Better than Big Loop in Heide Park Soltau The "Halve Maen" which we didn't ride. Everywhere in the park were nice flowers. Here is the Gondoletta and in the background you can see Pagode. Fata morgana. A really nice dark ride. Pyrana was very wet on this day because of some "nice" refreshing effects. The bobsled is crawling between the trees;) I really liked this ride because the trees that are directly around this coaster make it seem faster than it actually is. The amazing entrance area. I liked it^^

Coaster pic game
roeterich replied to vertgforces's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That was pretty easy. I saw that it was a Vekoma. Than I saw that it was a Double Loop Corkscrew. Then you search for all Double Loop Corkscrews and there are only 6 different and 5 of them are in Europe. Then you click the one, which is left and you can see the same photo as the on you posted^^ This is the reason why it's more difficult with self-taken pics or pics of funfair coasters (like my one). -

Who Has The Worst Season Pass Picture?

On the first day we went there it was only running one side, on the second day both sides run. The second day was a German holiday and you could see another big improvement: All the rides operated with full capacity so if you go on a weekend and it isn't two empty both sides should operate. The only attraction that remains closed for the whole season is the Gremlins dark ride. I think it will only open during Halloween. If you have bad luck there is maybe oner of the new attractions closed. During my first visit (4/27/05) Time Riders was closed the whole day because of improving the decoration and during my second visit (5/5/05) was Ice Age particularly closed. Sebastian"all the new names suck (except Bandit)"Rötten

Here's my 2nd TR on this board. I hope you'll enjoy it So In the last two weeks I went to MPG twice to test the new rides, see what has improved and make my new season pass. They did a great job on renovating the whole park, especially the kiddie-area. The park was empty on both days so I could get enough rides on all the attractions including the new ones, so here's my review of them: Sponge Bob 4D: Sponge Bob rules! The movie is pretty cool. The effects are okay but the seats are to loud. There are some scenes were you can't understand the dialog because they are so loud. But it is still better than Marvin the Marsian. Time Riders: That was really a surprise. I liked it a lot better than the Batman simulator. The new pre shows are very funny and the actual ride is also better with some nice effects. The new movie has a good story even if it wasn't that different from what you expect, when an attraction is called Time Riders. Ice Age: So this ride was my biggest surprise. I ignored all the pictures of the inside because I didn't want to spoil myself. That's the reason why I don't tell to much from the inside. I loved the Loony Toons Adventure but Ice Age has a lot more funny scenes and better animatronics so I have to say that Ice age is an improvement. They adopted the running gag with Scrat and the nut pretty good and other scenes from the movie as well. If you didn't have seen the movie so far and you want to visit Movie Park, I suggest that you watch the Movie first So I think that is enough and now onto the pics. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. The last pic is "Bandit", the Cyclone-Layout woodie of the park. The obligatory: "FX-Vekoma-piece-of-crap" foto. The other ride is "Sidekick",which is pretty funny. Okay not everything is new painted. "Bermuda Triangle Alien Encounter" looks still like fresh from the rubbish dump. Ice Age entrance. There is still plenty of decoration lying on the ground. Mad Manor. Completely new paintjob and new decoration. Everywhere in the park is fresh color and new decoration. "Rocket to the moon Rollercoaster" or something like that^^ They renovated the whole Wonderland studios pretty well. Time Riders in the background, yellow cab in the foreground. "Cop Car Chase" again. I like this coaster. Maybe because it was my first inverting coaster. "Lethal Weapon Pursuit", ehhhhhr I mean "Cop Car Chase" (what a dumb name^^) "The High Fall", which I like more than "Scream". The completely new painted end of the main street. The completely new shaped entrance area.
