  1. There are really cool, new pictures on Onride, where you can see how deep and narrow. The construction is really fast moving forward! Here are the pics: http://www.onride.de/viewtopic.php?t=15544&start=640&4306
  2. So far: Movie Park Germany (my home park) Heide Park Soltau (was my favorite this year beacause it was completely new for me) De Efteling (was new for me as well but I liked HP betetr) Toverland Phantasialand I'll add Walibi World on Sunday and probably a few more visits at MPG for Halloween.
  3. Defineteley EGF's first drop. It's just so amazing and it's a first drop and kind of a turnaround. Just the best part of any coaster I rode so far
  4. So inspired by Sörens thread about the match "Germany-South Africa", I had the idea to start a topic where everybody can show off with his local stadium or a stadium he visited in the last time. I'm really interested in any kind of stadiums and I try to see alot of them. My next new one will be the stadium in Cologne next week saturday when Borussia plays against 1. FC Köln so then there'll be new photos for you So here are pics of Mönchengladbach, where I visited the Bundesliga match "Borussia Mönchengladbach-MSV Duisburg" today (yay we won 2:1), of Schalke, where I was 2 weeks ago at the match "FC Schalke 04-Borussia Mönchengladbach" (1:1) and one from Dortmund, where I saw the UI cup match "Borussia Dortmund-Sigma Olmütz" in July (the photo is from another match, which I saw last year): The teams are coming and theathmosphere is amazin as usual^^ BTW on 9/20 Borussia will play against Werder Bremen, so that'll be Sörens favourite team against mine. Maybe I'll do a little Photo TR then^^ The athmosphere is already good but the Stadium isn't really full. There are only 50288 people here today My home Stadium the "Borussia Park" in Mönchengladbach Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen Westfalenstadion in Dortmund
  5. Not really better because it doesn't has a moveable lawn, a video cube or a closeable roof. Otherwise the one in Munich is bigger and has those funny different coloured outside. Sebastian"I think I'm going to start a topic about stadiums"Rötten
  6. Next week sunday I'll visit Walibi World aka Six Flags Holland and ride Goliath again after almost a year, yippieh! And yes... I will do a Photo TR as well.
  7. Okay now as a football enthusiast I have to post my opinion on this match. I watched the match in the TV and I have to say that it was a good match espacially because of Germany average age of 24! That is a really good sign for the future. One thing I didn't like was the athmosphere in the Stadium. I mean there were only about 30000 visitors and it was really quiet! But all in all it was a good match and espacially Marcell Jansen from my favorite team Borussia Mönchengladbach was^a big surprisebeecause it was his 2nd match for the national team and he was one of the best players of Germany. And he is only 19 years old! The "Weserstadion" looks nice but I don't like stadiums that have a track around the football ground. I think we in Mönchengladbach have a nicer stadium BTW I'm going to watch the match Borussia-MSV Duisburg tomorrow, ok I'm visiting every home match of Borussia because I have a season card, so that's no surprise. And for you stadium enthusiasts I've got a photo of europes most modern stadium, the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, where I visited the match FC Schalke 04 - Borussia Mönchengladbach last week: It has a lawn that can move out of the stadium, a closeable roof and a nive video cube with an even better result on it (BTW the match ended 1:1, which was a big succes for Mönchengladbach but we could have won it^^)
  8. I rode the one at Toverland as well. They are pretty cool in the noon but in the morning you can crap them. When they aren't properly distributed on the course they brake automatically all the time and that is really lame. So I'd recommend waiting untill noon for riding, espacially if you'd have a long wait. Otherwise those Bobkarts are really fun rides!
  9. So yesterday they started with the construction of the first drop and in the new pics you can see that the building under the lifthill gets higher and higher and the lifthill is already partly in the building. So here are the newest pics from the 9/7: click me And here are a few older pics from the 9/6, where you can see that they already started with the theming of some underground sections: click me
  10. OK I'll beat you all: I live less then 10 miles away from the VEKOMA headquaters in Vlodrop/Netherlands. Never been there, though Sebastian"Please feel sorry for me "Rötten
  11. Everything fine by me! Good work Robb!
  12. I'm visiting class 11 at the Albertus Magnus Gymnasium in Viersen-Dülken right now and I'm taking that classes: Maths (You have to take that one^^) German (same here^^) English (I have that since class 5) French (since class 9) Spain (new for this year) Politics (actually it's called "Sozialwissenschaften" and a new subject for me because I Only had normal political science classes before, even if those where classes that were teached in english^^) Geography Religion (I had to take that because I'm on a religious school ) PE (Had to take this class as well) Physics Art Remember I'm from Germany so my school system is a little different than yours Sebastian"loves learning new languages"Rötten
  13. My last beer was a nice cold Diebels Alt last friday. Didn't take a pic of that bottle but that is what it looks like:
  14. Hey nice TR! I've got a short question: what was the Camping Grounds name were you stayed at. I'm nearly every year camping in that area since I was born and I was in Vrsar 2 years ago. Sebastian"off to croatia in about 4 weeks "Rötten
  15. So after a long time, to be exact since the 11th December 2004 (The Kinisons, Sugarcult and Blink 182), I went out to see a concert of a pretty famous band: My Chemical Romance at "Zeche Carl" in Bochum. After their live performance at the VMA's I was a little bit disappointed of their live performance becuase I only heard good things about their performances so far but luckily my bad premonition was wrong. Those guys are really amazing live performance imho better as my favorite band Blink 182^^. After the preshow that consisted of a smaller german band, who wasn't bad at all, and the soundcheck was finished they entered the stage and started directly with one of my favorite songs from MCR: "I'm Not Okay". After this amazing, start they played one of their older songs and the crowd exploded. I don't know the exact chronological order of the songs but I think they played everything from Three Cheers For A Sweet Revenge plus 2 or 3 maybe from "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love" but this album wasn't released in Germany. After 1.5 hours they finished their show with their most famous song "Helena" and I was happy when I could leave the room, where it was probably about 95° hot to breath some fresh air. So this concert really kicked ass and the only bad thing was that it was a tuesday and I had to go to the school on the next day, but it was to late to get any trains back home and so I went to school without any sleep or taking a shower :? But hey that's Rock'n'Roll! Anyone else here who does like their music or am I the only nerd? Oh wait I promised a Photo CR, so here's the only foto I was able to take: Maybe you recognize one of them^^
  16. WTF??? Is that a normal sized american portion? If it is I do not longer wonder why so many americans are a little oversized^^ And you do drink Kölsch in america? That's one of the most awfull beers ever (espacially if you come from Mönchengladbach^^) Sebastian"Alt-Beer-Drinker"Rötten
  17. You Want Romance?-Funeral For A Friend
  18. I'm 6'10"
  19. Come on guys write a few replies those TRs are a lot of work for me^^ Hmm ok I promised a second part of my bungee jump and here it comes: After a few hours on the actual fair we decided to go home and I spotted a Bungee Jumpin crane. I said I want to go and jump but only as a joke, but as we passed directly by the crane and it was only 35€ to jump, I decided to do it really. It was a really cool experience and I'm happy that I didn't miss it. Anyone else here who already bungee jumped? Totaly dazzled and shaking after the jump. My little niece is happy to have me back save on the earth. That's it and now write many replies Yeah I really wore short jeans and it was freezing cold Wooooohaaaaa. 60m free fall. That kicks Screams ass^^ Dude that's high! And it even get's higher... No way back from here^^ Here they are connecting me to the bungee rope Right before my first bungee jump ever. I was so afraid of doing it
  20. Last Wednesday I visited another big German fair, the "Cranger Kirmes" after I already visited the Rheinkirmes Düsseldorf. This fair attracts as well over 4000000, in words four million (!) visitors in 9 days. The fair is actually a bit bigger than the one at Düsseldorf buit it has only 2 coasters and approximately a million visitors less. I visited the fair with my family on a rainy Wednesday, because it was family day and all the rides are cheaper then. We arrived at around 1pm and left at around 7:30pm. It was actually a really nice day, I rode nearly every big atraction and only spent around 20€. Another thing that made the day really great for me was my first ever Bungee Jump (I'll do a little special update later). So enough said now onto the pics and captions: The top scan "Skater". A real vomit machine, at least the ones at a fair. That was the last pic for today. I hope you enjoyed my photos and I get many replies. The same log flume then the one in Düsseldorf, but for me it was to cold to ride. Imperator and PT2. They look good together^^ "Imperator" goodness. I had actually a beter ride on it then the one at "Rheinkirmes" The "EGF-Flip" thing. You could touch the track^^ And finally "Alpina Bahn" which was only 2,30€ today so I rode it two times. PT2 and Imperator, where both in Düsseldorf as well. "Revolution" the Top spin and... WTF blue sky in Germany??? Hmm at least it was cold^^ we have average 60-65°F this august here in Germany Yeah I was in Hong Kong as well "Air Maxx" har to describe what it is, but it is really funny Guess what? A "Backfisch" slide^^ They do the baking fish in the first floor and let it slide down to the ground floor^^ "Remix" with it's smoking Coca Cola can in the middle! Turbo Force is really a fun ride! The "Flipper". You might know it from a park but you can't compare attractions at parks and fairs even if they are the same ones. The rides at fairs are 3 times longer and harder than the ones at parks^^ The wave swinger and the ferris wheel. You might see that a lot of the attracions are similar to the ones at "Rheinkirmes Düsseldorf" Circus Circus, one of the few attractions I didn't ride that day "Wilde Maus", a wild mouse and the first of two coasters. The flying carpet was the first bigger attraction on our lap around the fair.
  21. I thought I'll push this thread up because In the last days many things happenend: The first track segments arrived, they already started with the theming and there are new buildings, holes and dirt everywhere. Here you can find the newest construction pics. Sebastian"tries to keep you more up to date on Black Mamba from now on"Rötten
  22. I voted for Amerika, just because that's the best one of the selection Actually mine would be "Keine Lust" because the video is very funny and the lyrics as well^^ Sebastian"German rock rocks 8) "Rötten
  23. The people who run the attractions aren't smoking, drinking carnies . The owners of the attractions are all professionals but they often hire cheaper workers from eastern europe Even then you'll never see any workers drinking alcohol there^^ @ Hattuchili: I'd like to go there, espacially because of the Olympia Looping but I have no car so it'll may be a little problem to come to Bremen without a car. I'll see if I can afford the train transfer^^
  24. The eastern holidays in Germany start around the 10th april in the next year and all of the parks open with it, so the parks won't be open in march. I think you have to search for another time, I'd recomend early June or late may because the summer vacation starts in late June next year and so the most pupils will write their tests or exams at that time. BTW: German Vacation 2006 If you want any translations, feel free to ask.
  25. If you like those pics I have good news for you. I'll visit the Cranger Kirmes in around 2 weeks and maybe I have a new camera then to do even better pics. The "Cranger Kirmes" is as big as the "Rheinkirmes Düsseldorf", maybe even a bit bigger because it isn't only just a big fairground, but also a lot of smaller streets. Sebastian"hopes he has enough money for his new camera then"Rötten
