  1. That's like going to a horse track and complaining about the gambling. -kip- Okay, that came off the wrong way. It's more like going to a cafe and sitting in the non smoking section, yet the smoke is still drifting around.
  2. Denver made a law like this about a year ago. I think it's great. Smoking is a disgusting habit and it bothers me when I go to a bar and there's someone puffing away right next to me.
  3. I don't have any pictures of my house yet (I'll take some pictures later) But, while you guys are waiting, I'll post some pics of my hometown. This is a shot of pine junction, a very nice little town that I live in. If you look to the far left you'll see a small little mountain about halfway up the picture. Off to the right you can see the snowcapped rockies. My house is perched near the top of that peak. You can look down through a valley and see denver. If you turn around you look at the mountains. I have the best of both worlds. There is a long dirt road winding up to my house. It's a pain in the ass for my girlfriend and I to shovel. I do have a neighbor about a half mile down the hill with a snowplow though. He makes my life a lot easier! This is a shot of pine junction in the winter. I'm done wasting bandwith for now. Bye everyone. BTW rc_dartarro, that hill doesn't look bad at all. What are you talking about??
  4. I'll try to make it out there. So, are there any other people in the denver area who'd want to meet up at elitchs?
  5. I was in california over the weekend. I went to Magic mountain on sunday. The park was empty. I asked a ride op on ninja about the new ride. He said that most of the employees think it will be a kingda ka ride. There was a sign in front of superman the escape that said "Please excuse our mess. We are building for your future enjoyment" Superman was closed all day too. The same sign was in front of flashback and freefall. Hmmm...
  6. I repeat - can you change mine to, "Donkeys are cool! But rodents are better!" Thank you.
  7. I flew over the holiday's with United and it's becoming really evident that their in a sticky situation. I've seen employees huddling in the back of the plane talking about labor rules and going on a strike. Service on the planes has gone down hill, and it seems like the flight attendants don't care. Our flight was delayed 2 hours and we had to switch gates twice. While I was flying I ordered one of those 10$ meal things. 10 minutes went by... I then asked a nearby employee where my food was, she said "We probably gave out too many, let me make an announcment, asking people to give up their meals if they don't want it." Another 5 minutes went by and I hadn't heard an announcment or gotten any food. After another 5 minutes a bag of pretzels got slapped on my table. I decided to talk to a customer service rep! I had paid 8 bucks you know. When I walked into the airport I headed straight to the service desk, and told them about my problem. I was then handed a 10$ food voucher that could only be used at the houston airport. I told them I'd rather get my money back, because I wouldn't be in houston for another 2 years, and the food vouchers expired in a year! The customer service rep said that I had no proof of actually buying anything, and that they couldn't just give me the money. I told them that there was proof right in front of them! ME! The rep said that we'd have to speak to the service crew to see If I had actually bought the food. Now, this was 15 minutes after the flight and the crew had been gone for a while. I got upset and said, "Why the hell would I want some food vouchers for an airport I'll never come back too? I'm just here for a lay-over!" Another rep came over and said that it was their policy and that they couldn't do anything about it. I said that they had lost a good customer, and I walked away... It seems like everything about united has gotten worse. Captains who have been working for years can't retire and many people have lost a TON of their salary. I even heard that if the employees go on strike, United will go bankrupt very, very quickly! This may not be a big deal for some of you on the east coast, but in Denver, United uses 74% of the airport! I just wonder... How much longer will united continue operating?...
  8. The buffet at the bellagio was great. You'll also want to see the fountain show outside the bellagio (I thought it was really cool) I'd suggest seeing as many shows as possible. I saw Cirque de soliel at the bellagio and I was amazed. It was one of the best shows I've ever seen. I stayed at the monte carlo last time I went. It was very nice and had one of the only poker rooms lefty at the big hotels in vegas. So, If you like playing poker the monte carlo is the place to be. I also went to the mandalay bay and saw the shark reef they have. It was very cool... Oh, yeah, stay away from the tropicana, that place was a dive. Oh, I almost forgot, they do have a couple of roller coasters.
  9. Well buddy, your screwed. What ride is most important to you there? If it's X, It could be the only ride you'll hit. I'd suggest skipping X, it's not that great.
  10. Jeez, I'm underweight and I'm not gay. I guess I'm not a typical enthusiast! Wait... What has our world come to? Being skinny and straight is considered abnormal?
  11. What parks are you heading too? I'd imagine that your going to worlds of fun, correct? Are you headed anywhere else?
  12. I met carmelo anthony at water world (it's my local waterpark) We were waiting in line for a tube slide and a group of 4 blacks with a customer service rep cut us in line. I was about to say something when I noticed who it was. I then shouted "mello!" He turned back looked around and said "Hey what's up?"
  13. Can you make mine, "Donkeys are cool! But rodents are better!" Thank you.
  14. On the first day you can get much more then that done. On my first day at CP, I did MF twice. Dragster once. Mantis once. Gemini twice. Iron dragon twice. Disastor transport once. Cedar point mine ride once, and a lot of flats.
  15. Each train seats 36 riders. If the hourly capacity is only 400, that means that they run about 11 trains! That's horrible.
  16. ^^ Yeah, I knew he was being sarcastic. Oh, btw, it's spelled sarcasm, learn to spell. Please, don't take offense.
  17. WTF dude? You look stoned in every single one of those pictures!
  18. Only 400 pph!?!? That's horrible for an attraction like that! I only waited 45 minutes for MF so I guess I was lucky.
  19. Thanks. If I did what you said (about knotts) how long would the line for xcelerator be? My goal for that day is to hit all the coasters but ride xcelerator a ton. Is this a realistic plan?
  20. ^^ Your lucky. I'm going to be at california adventure this friday! I'm really concerned. This is one of my favorite rides in that park! Please open it up disney. Puleeez! I've been looking forward for this trip for a year and screamin shuts down!
  21. I went to disney at christmas in 2004. There was no one there! I waited 20 minutes for rockin roller coaster all day! The parks were empty!
  22. Hi alveys. I'm scott kucharski. I really like your site and I think it's a great place to talk about coasters. Anyhow, What is it with you guys and mcdonalds? It's okay, but it's not that amazing... Also, what is your coaster count? I know that you guys are major credit whores, so I'd imagine that your count is really high. I also have a quick knott's berry farm question. I'm going to be in California next weekend. I want to go to knotts on Saturday. Is this a bad choice? How long will the lines be?
  23. OH my god. How could this be? I'm... I'm... It's a small world! it's a small world": The happiest cruise that ever sailed! Surreal and silly, or sweat and touching, you are a well intentioned 1960s homage to the world's diversity that unfortunatly inspires feelings of sheer terror in those who can't help but feel something more sinister lays beneath your shiney surface. But most cannot deny your charm, even if they cannot explain it, and leave feeling better than when they entered. Most overlook the fact that because of your unique style and design, courtesy of Disney Legend Mary Blair, you are a true work of art and you deserve to be appreciated. You are both worldy and simplistic, both cosmopolitan and decidedly middle American. You are a splendid candy-coated contradiction with a sugary, sunny song that one never forgets. If the world truely listened to your never-ending optimism, it could be a small world after all. Update: I tried it a second time and got splash mountain. I feel better now.
  24. I'm craving pancakes.
