^ Wondered that too. Bungee Tower instead of Spring Tower, but same basic idea. Bet that's it. And all this indoors. That just amazes me. EDIT: Since I couldn't sleep tonight, here are a couple pics from RCPro's IAAPA coverage. One is a mirror of a EuroFighter model and the other is G's Spinning Coaster. You might recognize the layout. The mirrored pic, give or take a helix and some track, is a guess at what the final Sponge Bob assembly might look like. Either way, thought it'd be fun to post these in light of no web cams. Enjoy.

Shane's Amusement Attic
TheRapidsNerd replied to montezooma's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Shane, great stuff! Yes, The Demon (now Zoomerang) is doing well at Alabama Adventure as of summer 2007. I think one or two of the Wonderland's wood coaster trains are running on Rampage, since one in particular had a red to yellow color change. Saw pics of what seemed like the same train sitting idle at Wonderland, and it was about the time AA bought Demon. EDIT: Posted a couple pics of Demon and a clip of the above mentioned Rampage train. Clint, thanks for posting that info. Dominator construction and Dolly's River Battle progress were good to see. Any word on Kalahari? Hmmm? Back to the point on the ride renames, (giving up and shrugs) Eh, waddya gonna do? -

I think it's safe to say nobody is ready to check into Bellvue over the name changes. It just that for some folks, a coaster with a crappy name is like a car with a crappy paint job. Sure, it rides great and you love the experience, but the lack of polish takes a little away. These coaster names just need a bit more polishing to live up to the fun ride they're attached to. That's all. It's just a disappointment. Noone is sharpening the pitchforks and lighting the torches over this. -
Man, you brought back some great memories of my trip to Newport Beach on 2006. What a fun time and a beautiful place for someone who hasn't been too often. I miss it out there. (goes to look at '06 LA and Disneyland pics)

rolling d6....a3. They do not blow up, but skate very close to automatic implosion. On the bright side, however, if you check some of the Cedar Fair parks "Media Room" sections on their websites, they haven't changed their promo photos as of last night, so things like Tomb Raider Firefall and Italian Job Turbo Coaster pics and logos are still there. It varies from park site to park site. I went to KI, CW, KD, and a couple other northeast parks. Worth a look before the Back Lot Stunt Coaster signs start popping up. -

7/10 for me. What about defunct parks/rides for the next quiz? -
Happy Birthday man. Hope it's a good day and a lot of fun. Obviously, Disney was ahead of the game with their early present...CoP evac.

Awww bummer. I've always like the OD Hopkins mini rapids boats. Anyway, Shane, thanks as always for more pamphlet goodness. Your poor scanner! Lol! -

You know, I've heard of these and the Medieval dinner shows, but haven't payed much attention. So they took the cash and said "we can deal with the relocating grief" eh? By the tone of the article, it sounds like business was ho-hum to the point where they were questioning putting it back in central Florida. Bummer for entertainers, now there's one less venue. Hope it doesn't hurt your series of regular gigs. Consistent, decent paying gigs are hard to come by. -
Unusual Question!

^ You and moose might have something there. If it means riding more stuff, I can live with the fashion statement. Thanks. -
Almost 7 am here, and Spongebob and Avatar cams still down. The overview showed the atrium a bit darker than usual. Maybe there was some kind of power halt to the circuit the computers running the webcams were on. In the words of Phillup J. Fry, "Fix it! Fix it! Fix it! Fix it! Fix it! Fix it!..." In the words of Robb Alvey, "Yeti Yeti Yeti Yeti Yeti..."

Unusual Question!
TheRapidsNerd replied to hproductions's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I get motion sick too. Discovered it early when I was a little kid. Anything with drops (most of the park) give me a what feels like a bad combo of flu and jet lag. Slowly and carefully figure out your limits. It may boil down to just certain types of rides or certain directions rides move in that set off your illness. Thankfully, parks are designed for different several ways to have fun. There's always video or pictures (hardly anybody around here does that ) There's also shopping and shows. It's tough, especially when you really want to ride, but sometimes you find some alternates that still make the day fun. In a wierd way, I really learned to appreciate the vibe and energy of a park (and a good funnel cake). Oh, and rapids rides. Hang in there, and good luck.
